I did that mission some time ago myself, and initially thought it was missing too. But I returned to the bridge some time later, and found the missing key (mine was A key, which was at the very first jeep coming from the ranger station. The other key I found when I first visited the place, at the fallen jeep.)

Yeah, I've been wondering how a closed beta would be better than an open one for any mod really. I can see the reasoning for a game or other paid product, since you often have NDAs and such to hide the game from the public eye, but that doesn't matter for a mod. If you stick with the same 10 beta testers then they're going to be experienced, yeah, but at the same time if they overlook something the first time they're going to continue to overlook it. It's like trying to proofread your own essay, you can only catch so much. Eventually you need another person to go over everything with their own perspective. And I think it would be even more useful with the STALKER community, because a lot of people seem to know at least a little bit about how the file modding works, so they can dig around a little if needed.

I'm gonna re-install one of them for the first time in years. Really miss that STALKER atmosphere no other game comes close to.

Imo Call of Pripyat with a right set of mods is better for soaking in that delicious S.T.A.L.K.E.R. atmosphere. Get M.S.O, AtmosFear 3+Absolute Textures for extra A-Life shenanigans and visual improvements.
Clear Sky is better choice if you want action gauntlets and story missions with a lot of shooting. The thing about Clear Sky is that it has great potential for atmosphere in terms of level ambience and visuals but the faction war-centrism delivers a crushing blow to the atmosphere because the game shows every squad, mutant or otherwise on the game map constantly and you're constantly being yelled at over the radio. The faction wars also effectively kill the A-Life system meaning that much less random and surprising encounters occur in the game. The Faction War mod fixes some of the issues and manages to actually inject some proper A-Life into the game so if you want to have that famour S.T.A.L.K.E.R. atmosphere in CS I would recommend getting TFW and playing as a true loner (note that it removes the story and it's free-play)

If you last played Call of Pripyat running DirectX 10 you might want to delete the user.ltx found in _appdata_ in the Call of Pripyat root folder. A recent windows patch made it so it crashes when trying to run in DX10. Alternatively, seek out Windows Update KB 2670838 and uninstall it manually.
No guarantee this'll work but it fixed a similar issue for me.
Swamps on TFW, encountering random stalker groups going about their daily business in the crispy foggy mornings, so good you could paint a picture.

I know OGSE works with Argus' textures (there is an option for it during the install), but I'm not sure if the Absolute packs work.
Ok, when in Peoplesoup did zombie emissions become a thing? Because I got the crap scared out of me when suddenly 20 zombies spawned around me while the screen looked like a pseudodog was chewing on my head.
I found a minigun afterwards though, so everything worked out alright. Now I "just" need to find an exoskeleton.
Ok, so I've played some Misery 2.0 and I'm gonna write up a blog post about my thoughts, I wrote down all of them while I was playing.
Not sure how to structure it though, it's mainly a point-by-point list of stuff I just wrote down as I encountered it
Misery would be pretty nice, if not for the crashes. But still - any other, better mods for CoP? Also the uncompressed textures are a fucking joke, while i can run most on very high, i have to leave some options lowered because of the massive stuttering.

Shit, misouri doesn't work after installing the unofficial patch.. I chose the class i'm currently playing and overwrote gamedata, then applied the other gamedata folder (wich, i presume, is a patch for the patch)

Got CoP a lil while ago... and i'm in the middle of an oddly lit and massive space. What a confusing starting point. I'm not sure if the game's supposed to be lit like that and i'm not sure if i should fuck around or if i should go to the objective. what does one do?

got a screenshot? are you using any mods?
What the Christ. One of the mods for one of the Freedom suits in Misery 2.0 (Guardian of Freedom?) is +10 armor slots. Then there's a +2 after that.
The SEVA suit, which has a base of 2 slots, has a +1 slot upgrade, followed by a +3 :v:
(The maximum is 5)
Oh, and I realized that my Nimble VSS that I upgraded is classified as an assault rifle, not a sniper rifle. This is after I purchased, upgraded and realized that nobody in Zaton stocks 9x39 rounds, and left it in my stash for [B]6[/B] hours. If I reload, I lose 6 hours of work.

Read the readme, you should apply the gamedata folder first, then the class gamedata, it was a typo/bug with previous versions that resulted in it suggesting you put in your class and then the gamedata. That has caused a few people to crash already.
If that doesn't work, paste your non-xray engine error log in to notepad (just open notepad after the crash, no need to select anything) and paste it in to that.

Sounds about right, I agree with your points. I'm glad you actually qualified it with positive and negative things too, instead of shitting all over it like some people are. I think the blacking out thing for the medkits is supposed to be time passing as you fix yourself up so you can't spam them in combat, but it does look weird. Stimpacks seem to fill the role of instant healing in a fight now.
Are you going to try that unofficial patch, or just wait for the official one monday?
