after playing i know what it is. certain guns seem to be modeled beautifully. others not so much.. and the unfortunate ones don't resemble the gun its trying to imitate it at all. it's because most guns are way to rounded looking for no reason at all and at the same time are unnecessarily clunky and bulky looking. it looks like it's bursting out of your character's hand its so oversized. just look at the makarov. the gun's viewmodel itself seems to be bigger than pretty much every other gun besides the desert eagle. and this is a tiny 9x18 load pistol. also the browning high power doesn't look anything like the viewmodel... it looks like the slide is heavier than the gun itself. the makarov should have the smallest viewmodel for a gun in the game. right now it looks like a cheap squirt gun. also another gripe i have is with the lack of revolvers. they should have insane durability at the cost of long reload times. and exist in the zone... i mean if the main complaint about being in the zone is your weapon failing why not take a gun with you so simple there'd have to be a big rock lodged down in the barrel for it to fuck up.

I just thought of the best thing ever FreeLurk 2 eeeeeuuu it'd be amazing!
One thing I noticed while playing Doom'sFreeLURK, the weapons textures are always at highest even on lowest settings, is this a feature? Or can it be changed through some sort of command? I'm not complaining though, makes it much easier to aim.
I'd imagine the textures are saved without mipmaps or something silly like that, which would make the engine unable to dynamically scale the textures down. That, or r2_tf_mipbias in console.

I would like to see a revised freelurk from doom. Not that the current is bad, but there is always room for more freelurking.

I don't really get what's up all of these screenies coming from you guys developing LURK. I'd think it would make more sense if the farther you went north, the more signs of radiation damage the foliage would show. So you'd have the Cordon, so lush and green, oddly themed to the sort of innocence of that stage in the game, then you got something like the Red Forest where basically everything is dead or barely hanging on, sort of how it feels to have no sort of ally as you assault the Brain Scorcher. But, it seems like you see the exact opposite from what we've seen in the last two versions or LURK. IIRC Holden said the same thing awhile back, but don't hold me on that. Maybe there was some change in theme, but I honestly hope that maybe you guys would invest in options on foliage upon install. Other than that, I'm loving how damn polished everything looks! And all the models you guys are bringing in from Metro 2033 couldn't be better.

Then again, realistically speaking plants are relatively resistant to radiation, and considering Zone's mutation even better than regular trees. It'd be a nice aesthetic if shit was dead and desolate closer to the CNPP or Scorcher.

Sometimes I abbreviate all my gamedata folders so bizarrely that I have no earthly idea what the mod is. Also Millenia, any idea on if the multiple USPs are making a return? Like the Tacticals, Compacts, .357 SIG, etc

Older versions were full of mismatching ports (of low quality, usually), 1.2 will focus on fresh, quality content, so that'll probably limit variety a little bit.
