no one can tell me how to at least amp up my endurance for CoP Reloaded? I found a bunch of things in the actor.ltx files, but I'm not sure what I have to edit to run for a longer time.
actor.ltx for me is to only edit the weight. If you have some energy drinks in your inventory, you can go to gamedata/configs/misc, open items.ltx and find the proper name for energy drink, edit its stats value when consumed. Sorry it's been too long since the last time I fiddled with the these configs and I deleted my CoP installation. Seems a bit coadictionary to me.
No, we were on the topic of: Why nerf the artifacts hunting rewards? I never said anything about it being too easy or not correctly done. and misery lied to me, where's my Boba Fett character :(
Also I have a feeling that after the patch we are back to good old Misery bashing for the sheer fact it dares to exist ;)
I hope you can rebalance the mod as fast as you edited this post ;)
OK - some points guys: (I really love to discuss this stuff so please dont start throwing shit at me in next few posts lol ;) ) 1. Artifact hunting is free of charge activity once you get proper gear (no repairs costs, no risk) + some fields (Burnt Farmstead for ex.) are very close to base 2. Artifact hunting is still the most profitable activity (it was simply imbalanced vs. other activities previously) 3. 'vs human' combat is no much less demanding in terms of resources 4. red all reports + finally gor to play the game somewhat longer >>> there should be no way of making 50k+ in less than 20 minutes 5. longer blowout periods mean that even if you decide to sleep thru periods between them you still get charged significantly more for eating thru this time 6. this is Misery and progression has to be slow >>> thus each purchase should be thought thru and its no longer such a bee-line for SSP as it used to be As for grinding: its fun to conduct combat in this game. Much more fun than hunting artifacts (throwing bolts to avoid mines, you really like that?) / doing 'fetch' missions, so whats the problem in rewarding combat? We should always reward fun things shoudn't we? Generally - try how it plays in-game in the long run.
What's the point of playing a sniper if it takes 2-3 mosin shots to the head to kill rookie bandits?
I'm not seeing any bashing. Instead, I'm seeing people giving their opinions and feedback in order for the devs to view them, and improve on the mod. Edited: So stop thinking everyones out to get you and your mod
OK - maybe you're right. Need to get some rest - last nine days were not neccesairly health-friendly lol :) Anyway - check how the patch plays for you guys in the long run, please post observations if you feel like it. Main concern was the stability anyway - everything else is such a fun stuff really that we can discuss it all day long as far as I go.
Just because we don't like the new features and changes doesn't mean we're bashing. Negative feedback is just as important as positive feedback. It shouldn't be so easily dismissed. So far the only Misery complaints I've seen consistently before 2.0 was "too brown" which was more of a joke I thought and "wizard difficulty" which is a good thing to most STALKER players and I think that's what the mod was going for anyway.
I hope you can rebalance the mod as fast as you edited this post ;)
Hehe - got me there :)

Despite the intense discussion behind development choices we're all stalkers here and modders have a lot of stress on their creation. I can understand that kind of feeling. Stability is more important than balance since even the most balanced mod can be unenjoyable if it doesn't work. Let's continue this discussion, I'm sure good things will come out of this if we just keep it civilized, eh?
I rather talk about lore anyway.
I suppose the main issue would be modifying the svarog to have such a huge range for something travelling at a jets speed to get info in time. Maybe if they set up a system of linked pylons with svarogs on the top to create a network that updates in realtime, to be broadcasted to the jets?
I'm pretty sure constructing and maintaining a system of pylon stations in the Zone is logistically infeasible. And to what ultimate goal? So they can fly helicopters and planes through the Zone? The Zone isn't big enough to cause major disruption to military traffic. Civilian traffic, even with a pylon network would still never be allowed to travel through. The Ukrainian Government's policy has always been to just seal the Zone off and let it fester, minus some funding to the Scientific community, security operations to keep STALKER out and something like two expeditions to the center? All of these ventures have been costly in human life, so I doubt gaining use of the air space is something they're dying to do.

Is there anyway to make it so in Clear Sky one zone hour = one real hour? I know OGSE managed to do it with the options menu but I have no clue how to do it myself. Edit: Even synchronizing system time to zone time would also be cool.
Anyone know why CoP crashes at the menu when I start it up? clean install, no mods, just reinstalled it yesterday, tried admin mode, restarting computer, deleting user.ltx, verifying game cache.
Anyone know why CoP crashes at the menu when I start it up? clean install, no mods, just reinstalled it yesterday, tried admin mode, restarting computer, deleting user.ltx, verifying game cache.
Crash log?
Crash log?
keep forgetting about that, I'll try and get one. EDIT: It crashed, I opened up notepad and ctrl+v'd, and all it pasted was "stack trace: "
I think you should be able to sell all artifacts to fellow stalkers, but for a greatly reduced price. Traders would still be where the big bucks came from, but they would only buy artifacts that they have an order for. Sid or Beard gain nothing from having a room full of Jellyfish and Wrenched artifacts, so why should they buy them by the bucket load?
keep forgetting about that, I'll try and get one.
Make sure Steam Community/Overlay is turned off. I've had trouble with it in these games before.
it was the Steam Overlay thing that was causing it, thanks for the help.

You will need to start a new game, there is a way to change it on the fly. I personally cannot remember it from the top of my head, and I don't have any of my old scripts laying around on this rig to double check.

Edit: Glorious op for best looking Stalker game, ho!
I was going to ask why CoP RELOADED was discontinued, but now I see that there is a 0.9 version coming soon. And that notice was there since April... damn, I was gone from the Zone for a long time, wasn't I? Perhaps I overdosed on the anabiotics and passed out longer than expected.
Now imagine holding the gun in your hands ;) Also, mirrored texture. Aka it will look good once it's in your hands, or laying on the right side :P
I'm hoping Mil will do a resin of the Gauss eventually. He's set the gold standard for weapon textures.
Could anyone give me a summary of Clear Sky: reloaded please? The ModDB page doesn't say anything and i'm thinking about playing Clear Sky again but I have no idea which mod to use.
I'm hoping Mil will do a resin of the Gauss eventually. He's set the gold standard for weapon textures.
Nahh. A man of his expertise should texture an up-to-date model, not one dated out of "04. Someone needs to remodel the gauss, I'm sure that with some refs, some tweaks to it here and there and some modernised feel the weapon is gonna be as badass as the moment we all got it in our digital hands for the very first time :)

GSC did some fairly interesting character development for it in CoP, but the EM rifle in CS was an idiotic implementation (same model? Really?). If I was developing S2, if be tempted to retcon some of the stuff from earlier games, and make a newer, less derivative weapon design. So yes, it does need a new model.
Drop the SUSAT and give it a more suitable scope, keep the G36 Furniture and maybe add a grip of some description because you are always holding the coils which seems a-bit dangerous when you've got all that zap-zap at the end.
It'd be pretty cool if the strong magnetic fields of the gun affected your equipment, at least when firing so if you have some fancy next-gen night vision shit it might go crazy for a while dunno if it's possible though
Gave OGSE one last chance before deleting it. Started a new run, got the 6P9, lured some military sorts out of the range of the turret, picked them off, got a Bizon and a few RPGs, saved Tolik and Nimble and all is well. 10/10, well played mod, well played. I'm more terrified of those helicopter death runs then I am of Bloodsuckers. Can someone fill me in, is this what Controllers do now?
