Does that Dead City mod for CoP fall into the "crazy Russian modders" category? I've been looking for a mod that adds maps from CS and it has most of the good ones.
I seriously hope Defiance rolls into the great swamps in TFW. I need some more action there because I think the swamps are amazing. Edit: Changed the amount of mutants and chance for an attack so hopefully that'll make things more interesting.

I've played SGM 2.1. 2.2 just adds a few more maps, right?
so um.. is it normal that while using misery 2 , patch 1 as soon i press L to turn on my flashlight it turns off itself the instant its turned on?

Hey, can some Macbook run STALKER? Cause first, I'm not sure if they ever made a Mac-compatible STALKER game, and second, I hear the Macbook is pretty shitty in terms of playing what little games exist for it.

Welp, Dead City is nothing but a very shitty attempt to create another SGM. Awful balance, horrifying textures and lack of optimization. Even "new" locations hardly done for ~30% (broken terrain and dumb NPC). A really good example of how to fail at making SOUP-like mod.

Though what I really want is a freeplay mod for CoP that has the maps from the first two games. One is supposed to be in the works but I can't remember what it's called.
These are hilarious, but not very good. I'd like to see some proper mindfuck anomalies, not more stuff that turns everything into a red blur.
Yeah, CoP's gameplay but with the maps of all three games would be a good mix. I like CoP's bigger areas, but at the same time they tend to feel more bland than the earlier games more focused environments.

That's a good one imo. Then there was some fanfic on the GSC forums by the name of Snorkbait, and during a blowout the protagonist sees ghosts outside during it. They then come closer and are revealed to be zombies iirc.
I need to give Doom's Mod Merge a blast again.

It looks cool![/QUOTE]Mods for CoP that add the old levels are a dime a dozen nowadays; afaik none of them pull it off well (e.g. SGM's intolerably boring beginning section of the cordon and swamps). [editline]12th August 2013[/editline] iirc it's just so much work adding NPC spawns, pathfinding, anomalies and artifact spawns etc. Not difficult per se, just dreadfully time-consuming.
