Call of Chernobyl is looking good but I would love the CoP maps included, it seems they aren't~

is there a mod for SoC that removes the scrolling up when you take items out of a container?
Kinda sad because my wish came true and Defiance did come into the swamps. Now Clear Sky is down to just eight guys.
Also Duty was almost completely wiped out by the mercenaries which surprised me.
Edit:
Make that four guys left now that the pump station was raided. The four Clear Sky guys that are left are in a lookout tower with hunting rifles; I might buy some good gear and drop it next to them so they use it.
Duty are raping the Mercs for me and Clear Sky are sitting on their hands doing nothing. Freedom seem content to sit in their base in which the AI makes them move around in and not out of.

It's impossible because Xray can't allocate more than 256 ai-elements for in the game.graph, at least, he said something like that. Adding in the CoP maps would make Xray crash on startup because of the extra process power needed to include them into the game.graph.
Are there any good mods for CS that keep the main storyline, but fix the ballistics, add weapons/artifacts/armours/possibly quests etc?
I tried out the Misery/Lurk/Mystery/Whatever modpack but the graphics look batshit and the ballistics still seem really off (especially considering the Toz with buckshot 1hits anything from one and of cordon to the other)
I'm using page translate and its even funnier.

Excuse the dumming down but does that mean 256 AI moving around the entire in-game world aka, offline a-life moving between levels and doing shit?

Not 256 ai-entities, more like groups and squads. A 'squad' in CoP can vary from just 2 to 8 NPC's (if not more, AI and logic isn't my strongest trait in Xray :v:) But these points, are locations for routes that AI use to patrol around, or chill in. Example;
zat_loc_b5_heli_forest
This is a made-up connection point for the ai to travel in. It contains the level data, location and trademark of the 'location' in the game world. This for example could indicate the helicopter crash site in the iron forest. There's a limit of 256 of these in the Xray 1.6 Engine as it can't exceed the 3.61GB max RAM usage.
Again, correct me if I'm wrong, anyone. I got this all form the Call of Chernobyl developer.

The vehicle graveyards if they let you anywhere near them. Red Forest isn't red anymore, or that would be cool. And the buried burnt villages may be kinda boring.

It ignores vanilla story completely, even locations, but adds CoP-like one...

Does it contain just the one map? I've always liked the idea of a free roam game that doesn't go overboard on the size or number of the map(s) and instead fills a smaller map with tons of detail. Warren Spector's "One City Block" idea and all that.
