I can't wait for LA though. The way dezowave designed everything in Priboi Story makes me glad that they're the devs behind LA.

I guess the closest would be the Old Storyline Restoration mod (RMA). It's only restores a few areas but seems focused enough to avoid the craziness that comes with mods that add tons of new stuff.

I wish I was half as excited about Lost Alpha as I used to be. The last update they posted on ModDB didn't sit with me very well.

Why do you make a mod for fans of the series and then cater it to people who have, at best, very little experience with the series? That's what is wrong with AAA development right now. Just make the mod how you want to make it and stick to your guns. The project feels like it going down the "Let's make it like GSC says we should so that we can sell it, original goals be damned." route.

LA will be a very good time sink, there is just something about ShoC that you never got in CS or CoP maybe it was the tacked together feel of it or the way everything was presented, I knew there were things they took from early development builds and slapped them in.

I think LA will top all 3 games as it's finally taking it's own route, looks like shoc, has new DX modes, more levels than all 3 games combined and it's looking very, very promising!
Too bad we will likely all be dead by the time LA is released.

Did they ever hold back the release date? IIRC it should've surfaced around Q2 2013 as well right? or was this just speculation by the comm? Never actually knew. I gave up on tracking LA's every move. I just hope to visit the page one day and be able to finally download it :v:

SoC's feel is a combination of the way the assets look, the lighting and design of the areas, and especially the atmospheric sounds and music IMO.
CoP has good atmosphere but IMO the ambient music isn't as memorable/eerie as SoC's.
I am so fucking hyped for LA

I think that the music for night-time in CoP was so fucking eerie it actually made nighttime seem more scary than it actually was.
Pripyat at night was honest to god terrifying, with the silhouettes of those tall buildings around you, and the narrow FoV given by your torch? Enjoy tunnel vision and the glimpse of your destruction.

Well I also had a lot of mutant bits. Sell them to owl for better prices, sell ammo to beard for better prices. I also think I grabbed a few artifacts on my way there.
Beard will give you somewhere around 400-500 for boar legs, but owl pays double for that stuff. I also repaired and sold my current gun for 7k and my coat for 6k. It went something like roughly 10k for all of the mutant parts, roughly 10k from my gun and outfit, roughly 10k from artifacts, and the same for all of the looted misc stuff and broken guns.

My old build only had 4GB of RAM and I played through all the STALKER games and used mods fine (never tried Soup). Realistically, it'd just be chucking everything into your pagefile and swapping data between HDD and RAM so you'd experience heaps of stuttering. Freedom has fucking taken over the Warehouses, Dark Valley, Garbage, Cordon, Swamps and Red Forest.
My poor Duty only has Yantar and Agroprom left. We're holding them back barely but they have like 190 faction strength while Duty only has a meager 98.
I can't even go on the offensive because of how much I have to defend the Garbage entrances.
That's the biggest problem with fighting Freedom. Their reinforcements come quick. That being said, if you persevere you can drop their body count far enough they won't be able to field assault squads.

Now, that said I do have my TRG that deals absolutely brutal amounts of damage.
Oh and what's the config line that defines base flatness on guns? I want to fix that fucking LR-300.

So i checked out those patches and found out it doesn't draw more than 1.4gb of ram at max even though i have 16 gigs? Is there any way to make it use more?

That thing is absolute nastiness. I used it for long range and a Mosin for short to medium in my Freedom game, and that combo destroyed absolutely everything.
Except for those fucking bullet sponges Clear Sky calls mutants.
True story about my Mosin in that game, I actually had like no weapon whatsoever for some reason, but right as I was about to leave the base for the first time a chopper flew over and killed like 4 guys. I took all their shit and kept one guy's Mosin for myself, used the rest to buy a few rounds of ammo. That was the same game I encountered a chimera just at the bottom of the hill from the Freedom base that stayed there and murdered everyone who came close to it for like two weeks of ingame time. I came and went like a dozen times and every time there were just more bodies.
Wait, what is "LA" ? And don't say a city in the states.

Someone has already successfully used oculus rift on SoC, there's a video on youtube. It's not as good as native support but at least it works.

Bullet_speed in the weapon's .ltx affects that. (And doesn't actually affect the bullet's speed)
Fun fact: most of the ARs have a higher bullet_speed than all of the sniper rifles :v: I guess I should fix that.

Then it looks like the game doesn't need more. You can try playing around with -noprefetch and see if it does nothing, otherwise you'd be better off just installing your game on your RAM using a RAM disc since you've got 16GB.

What is the default difficulty for misery? There is something I really want to test, but it requires me to be impervious to bullets. I dont want to risk fucking anything up with some trainer or whatever, and I heard that if you set all of your immunities to zero you are pretty much invincible. So I am editing actor.ltx.
If that isnt how you do it, how would I pretty much give myself godmode?
