Or, after searching through my history, you could download this: http://www.mediafire.com/download/akghh72tc6kh57t/Re+Enabled+Upgrades+in+Redux.zip
So which version of LURK should I get? 1.05 or 1.1?
1.1. Get this too.
Thanks. Both you guys are awesome.
Hey, is it considered modding if you just replace sounds and textures and shit?
If so, how do I replace that stupid ass bar music with something more fly?

I hear the greeter comes out of the game and whispers "I said come in, don't just stand there" into your ear before pulling you into PeopleSoup's cave, but with no minigun or exoskeleton.
Lurk ain't bad, it's very minimalistic with the HUD, and it has nice textures and anims, though I don't recall if it was this easy to kill people in normal SoC.
Does 1.1 have non-scripted blowouts?
What the hell, 1.1 makes artifacts useless?
LURK? Yes
What the hell, 1.1 makes artifacts useless?
"Useless"
You sell them for mad profit, no you don't get the wearing benefits from them, which was pretty broken to be honest, especially with SoC's bad places for them, agroprom was just filled with every kind of bulletproof giving artifacts and a few electro's or whatever and you could spring forever. Pair that with some fireballs and you don't have to worry about radiation ever.
[editline]20th August 2013[/editline]
Revamping the whole artifact system was harder than just removing their benefits. And we had been waiting for 1.1 for a long time, better choice than waiting for another few years in my opinion.

This made me think of a question i wanted to ask, what do you guys really want in SHoC for an usable artifact system? PPx still lacks some idea's there
I've already got;
- Artefacts with sound bound to them
- Over 40+ unique artefacts with unique particles and visuals
- Balanced out the spawn rates of the artefacts and increased / decreased the potential spawnability of them. Also mixed up the anomaly's they spawn on!

Detectors in SoC, with a bit nerfed capabilites and limited amount would be cool.
[editline]20th August 2013[/editline]
New player invented artefacts, eeh not my kind of thing.
[editline]20th August 2013[/editline]
The container system of People Soup would be cool too, and limited belt slots.
I thought of implanting what OL did as well, with mixed artefacts but damn it's near impossible to cut the feature out :v:
Just got back from Chernobyl, at the end the tour guide handed round a questionnaire asking what we liked about the tour/how could they make it better and our reasons for going to the zome - one of the multiple choice options was 'I am a fan of S.T.A.L.K.E.R' haha.
Also definitely time to start Misery.

Cool, did you get to go inside the buildings in Prypiat? Which tour company did you go with? Did you take any pictures?
(I'm going in a few weeks)
Chernobyl-tour (seemed much better than soloeast) talking to a few people at the hostel, they didn't get to see much as the groups were so huge, I think they only went in the swimming pool plus some buildings in the villages outside the 10km. Twenty people on the chernobyl-tour and ending up going round Pripyat in a group of 6 so saw loads.
No photos yet, have to get them all developed.

Make sure you take loads of photos
Make sure you take loads of photos
No worries about that!
Gonna be taking lots of reference photos for Redux too, will be fun to be able to claim the title of only mod created with real-life experience in the Zone, AFAIK

Sorry to disappoint you there Beac :v: IIRC we (Damjan) did it as well and some members of OGSE visited chernobyl as well even before us.
I feel like such a fun guy now, not.
Does Lurk change the main screen of SoC? I thought it did?

I don't really remember even using artifacts in SoC, to be honest. I might use the stamina boosting ones, but that's pretty much it.

Cool, who's Damjan?
Doesn't surprise me that the OGSE guys did it, much easier for them!
Does Lurk change the main screen of SoC? I thought it did?
I does, it's pretty plain though.
I just installed LURK last night actually, the first time I've played in awhile. To be fair as long as artifacts are worth reasonable amounts of money according to their rarity I'm okay with the effects being nerfed. I never wore them anyway and as it is they're really common in SoC and take no effort to find most of the time.

If you look closely at this one, you can see the Zone's true colors.

Gray and washed out brown, but mostly gray?
Nope, it's the [green] outside.
