How did you guys play through Clear Sky?
Even on Master every fucking enemy can take whole magazines, pure round sponges.
Anyone have a mod that just alters the damage values so I can actually enjoy my play through of it?
Scar can afford to pump all those rounds into them.
After all, any item box at a base has free spare ammo to take, so you really never run out.

I would recommend SRP (Sky Reclamation Project) but if you're just in the beginning areas the enemies are extremely resistant to pistol caliber and shotgun ammunition but with a decent rifle bandits, military grunts and other riff-raff should be dropping from 5-10 5.45x39 rounds. Clear Sky's all about using armor piercing 5.45x39/5.56x45 ammunition, 9x39 or the heavy 7.62x54 caliber, shotguns are basically worthless (except the TOZ-34!) because there are almost no mutants in the game save for few special sections. Thankfully AP ammo is not rare in this game like it was in Shadow of Chernobyl , several traders sell it at decent rates and some enemies also drop AP ammo.

A little advice - aim for the head.
And so, my fate is sealed. Freedom has fallen. There is no-one left to oppose us. Renegades are hiding in the shadows and Monolith is avoiding us by staying in Limansk. There is no trooper of Bandits, Clear Sky, Freedom, Mercenary or Defiance to stop Duty's triumphant march towards saving the planet.
However, there is still some work to be done. Several loners were caught in the crossfire during my campaign with Duty. As it stands, my relations with them could use...greasing. I'll look forward to aiding the Depot through any troubles it might have. After all, now that Duty is holding all the cards, they are more than well equipped to handle any mutant threats; the only threat in the Zone left.

Yeah but~
~When are you planning to run and camp it out in Rostok leaving it all to fall apart again.
I wish the Bar and Wild Territories were in CS, they were 2 of my favorite areas. They'd be great for some urban shootouts in TFW too.
Yeah, I really missed them from CS.
Sure it makes sense, the whole place was set up after CS (though it must have been fairly quickly, considering SoC starts a few weeks after?) but it'd be nice if we could go there, even if the whole place was to be a warzone.
I don't even know why they didn't add them seeing as the level changer from Garbage to Army Warehouses in CS has going through it judging by the map.
Still want freeplay-friendly Limansk and Hospital.
Still want freeplay-friendly Limansk and Hospital.
Agreed, as much as I like Duty, playing some other factions once in a while would be neat. Military and Monolith would be great to play as. I'd imagine Monolith having all those fancy hi-tech weapons like an FN-2000 while the Army wouldn't even have a trader, just Call of Pripyat-like daily supplier and free repair services.

Actually no, Clear Sky takes place something like 8 or so months [del]after[/del] before the events of SoC. Clear Sky starts in early autumn (?) 2011 while Shadow of Chernobyl starts first of May, 2012.
huh?
Yeah, meant to write before, dunno why I messed that up.
I wish the Bar and Wild Territories were in CS, they were 2 of my favorite areas.
There are some videos of CS Shoker Mod where there's a Rostok and Wild Territory converted for Clear Sky.
Wow had no idea you could lift objects if you press shift+use key like you can bodies in SoC.
Move boxes and barrels around, pretty useless but cool.

huh?
clear sky is before SoC

It's quite linear though, unless you chopped up the map and made new NPC paths.
I would play Monolith if I could, seeing how you are hated by absolutely everyone it would be a constant fight against those loners.
It's quite linear though, unless you chopped up the map and made new NPC paths.
You'd probably have to create a new map entirely using Limansk's assets because the map is not only linear, from what I hear it's also extremely unstable and that's further contributing into it not being a very good free roam area.

That's why I said "freeplay-friendly".
Imagine "Limansk City" which is basically Limansk, Dead City and Hospital as one big location, slightly remodeled for freeplay.
I remember a while back somebody posted a video of a chimera jumping from thick grass out of nowhere, I think it was in the swamps in clear sky, but I can't find it.
Anybody remember what I'm talking about?
I made it. :v:
Alright, if anybody still cares here's an update to my mod :v:
http://www.mediafire.com/download/8ovydoqj4dj4do7/Total_Reloaded_Warfare_1.5.5.7z
Made handling upgrades on the mosin and TRG not increase your mouse sensitivity, reduced the range of 5.56 and 5.45 rifles, decreased accuracy of the vikhr and some other guns, fixed a crash relating to killing bloodsuckers (at least for me), fixed the TOZ-34 upgrades, and cheeki breeki.
Opinions? I think this is a neat feature;

Survarium has a fly-by video showcasing areas. It's not on Youtube, or the main site, so here's the link to their facebook page.

From a level artist's perspective ... they have pretty poor prop placement imho :v: Everything is insanely packed for some reason (the industrial area, some stuff even doesn't make sense) directionally wise speaking

it's neat, but seems a bit anorak-y to me
I forgot to ask, but did they fix the hand when it loaded rounds into a magazine, it was the old ShoC hand model with the broken textures, did it get fixed at-all in an update? it was probably the only thing that put me off, that and the pack of pseudo-dogs that always raped me in agroprom.
Footage I recorded of me trying to sneak through the wild territory.
It won't boot, the startup screen goes up, with the all the ususal stuff, STAKER COP developed by X and Y and Z yada yada yada and as soon as the game boots up the screen goes black and it crashes.
Yes I've looked it up and I can't fix it.
Hmm... all of my problem with Steam and Stalker have come from having Steam community turned on. That always makes it crash on my system.
How does your LURK look so great? It's got like motion blur, great flashlights and everything :c
Mine looks like poop.

If you are running it on max it should look like that anyway.
