This was posted on the LA ModDB page. I had no idea GSC left this in the release build of SoC [t]http://media.moddb.com/images/mods/1/12/11987/ss_tejas_08-25-13_00-00-09_l02_garbage.jpg[/t]
Isn't Shaggy Sergei the guy you pull out of the prison in Dark Valley? :v: Also I'm sure rookie loners say something similar about the tunnel in Cordon, plus you got a marker and stuff.
Notice the "You might also land a date with some zombies down there" part - which is prob why LA posted it since there are no zombies in the tunnel in retail, there was electro anomaly, while in the early versions there were zombies.
Well, there are zombie corpses in the tunnel even in retail. Maybe they just starved to death, poor bastards.
;42005565']Well, there are zombie corpses in the tunnel even in retail. Maybe they just starved to death, poor bastards.
Considering the average traffic and the kill rate on the tunnel entrances, they most likely did.
Speaking of starving to death, I'm growing increasingly confused as to how insanly aggressive the military is in STALKERSOUP. I kill two guys from their daily patrol and they respond by sending six Hind attack choppers to anally demolish the Rookie Village. Somehow Wolf, being the fucking badass he is, survives, but the rest of the scrubs got gunned down. Kuznetsov and his alcoholic ass of a squad isn't any better, either. Good thing is I found a neat pistol. One thing I really enjoy about STALKERSOUP to this day is its seemingly unparalleled combat enjoyment. I haven't encountered as nice of a combat experience when fighting stalkers in any other game or mod. It's just satisfying as fuck to kill in 1-3 pistol shots but also die in 1-3 pistol shots depending on the armor both parties are wearing. Plus the recoil is...different.

Why in the fuck would you use Miranda anyway? Good God.
Damn it, delivered fireworks to a Dutyer and then he exploded. The autosave was right on top of when I was already dead; my quicksave also apparently was at the same time. I think I'm done with SGM, it's got too many pain in the ass "features."

I practically had to save every five minutes or less because of how tedious things got when it forced me to reload several times either due to things being too damn difficult or bugs ruining things. And when you have to deal with load times of 2 or more minutes it really ruins the immersion. I gave up on it because for some reason my loading times got to like 5 minutes or more, and with how absurdly difficult SGM is, it's a real immersion-boner killer among other things
Yeah, it's not a reasonable level of difficulty, either. It's "run into a mine you can't see and explode" or "get headshot by a guy who turns hostile according to some script you're not aware of." I think I might try out Misery + MSO tomorrow, see how that goes, if I can find a link.
Also I'm sure rookie loners say something similar about the tunnel in Cordon, plus you got a marker and stuff.
The dialogs in SoC and CS are sometimes a bit messed up and more dependent on the place the NPCs are instead of the faction they belong to so I caught a line in Clear Sky where a Dutyer talked about "fleecing stalkers" like he was a bandit or something.
I want to like Misery. I really do. It's got some really great ideas in it. But fuck. That repair system, AI that are too god damn strong, even the dumbest stalkers are damn near god tier taking 5-10 bullets out of any of your starting weapons in my experience, grenades and accuracy from hell, and more than a few bugs that are literally game breaking

I love having to be prepared, but some parts of Misery are a bit "eh" on the tediousness scale. I'd quite like to see some reusable repair kits that give no repairs by themselves, but can be used with items to repair up to 50%, so you can use the other types of repair kits (cleaning kits and such) to fix it up fully. That way, it'd actually be feasible to repair a nearly broken item yourself, it'd just take a lot of expensive parts (like the weapon stocks). It'd remove some of the artificial difficulty of having to save up enough cash to get Cardan to do it and make it more of a matter of being prepared. Hell, give them a mass of 20kg, so they can't be taken on the field, so you'd have to fix near broken guns at a major base / your stash or whatnot. Also, mercs shooting through the concrete walls at the waste treatment plant with uncanny accuracy, even with hardcore AI aim off. I was in a low crouch and totally out of sight, but those guys knew exactly where I was, repeatedly. I do like Misery, but there are definitely things I'm not fond about.

In the Swamps they're a part of a quest and disappear once you finish it. Good luck dealing with Misery's "realism".

I noticed that in AMK Sid edition, the blur effect is way to exagerated, my barrel of the gun completely blurs out when I look around. I don't remember having that when I played the mod, perhaps they added it in a new version. Is there a way to remove the blur effect? AMK doesn't have many options to change.

Why do explosions feel so strong in STALKER. Everytime there's an explosion near or on me it feels really deadly.
For some reason I can't type anything in the console, why is that?
Why do explosions feel so strong in STALKER. Everytime there's an explosion near or on me it feels really deadly.
Nothing compared to the Metro series. Those are the best explosions in a game so far for me. (To answer you, it's probably because the explosions in stalker (like grenades) actually model the projectiles, so frag grenades actually throw out frag pieces)

[editline]29th August 2013[/editline]
Nothing compared to the Metro series. Those are the best explosions in a game so far for me. There would be a hundred ricocheting pieces, and if they bounced off of a wall and killed someone, it wouldn't count as your kill.
Is there any way to skip the Cordon/Swamps in SGM 2.2?
