I'm not sure why there's complaints about Limansk. I mean, it's really obvious that it wasn't meant to be a level for exploration, and just some endgame tear-through/level before last sorta thing. I'd definitely like to be able to explore a more open version, but I think the whole point was that it was linear and very shootery. The fact that the helicopter at the end has a health bar kind of implies that, alongside the thirty-thousand Monolithians on the way there.

In OGSE, if you switched on high-jump, you can scale all of those broken staircases and run around the roofs to basically cut through the majority of the level.

Try SRP for CS if you're not running any mods :) it's an unofficial community made unfucker patch iirc.

Oh damn, I guess it wasn't updated in a long while then. I still remember some mods I used for CS that made gameplay much more ... playable. Those stupid 'come help us here' requests were turned off for one, fuck they were annoying.

That's the version we ended up with but I recall some interviews with Ilya Tolmachev (their art director) saying that Limansk was designed to be more open, maybe not like CoP Pripyat but something like SoC Pripyat where it's not necessarily an A-Life centric level like CoP levels but there's less of a chaotic pacing and you can go at least a bit "off the rails". Then they scrapped levels like the Pripyat-1 and the Jupiter Factory out of the game because of time concerns and thus Limansk became the way it is in the current version. I mean, I think that Limansk is one of the better shooting sections of the game so it's not a terrible map but I really like the design and atmosphere of the place so it's a shame that it can't be utilized like SoC Pripyat to it's full potential because it's so incredibly linear and unstable. I'm not faulting Clear Sky for ending up in the current solution because SoC had the same type of deal going on in Pripyat - even though the city was technically more open the game clearly wanted you to rush through to the CNPP.

Just let Clear Sky handle the ones hiding in the reeds and go for the renegade camps in the built areas. Unlike in the first patches of the game Clear Sky can actually handle themselves relatively okay.

Was fun assaulting Car Park with makarov, while bandits were using Nade Launchers and auto-shotties.

I'm using SGM 2.2 AIO and all AK74's AKM's and AK47's share the same model, despite the pictures in the trader menu being different, like AK74 Cyclone is yellow, with wooden buttstock, but the 3d model is actually a black ak74 with foldable stock..
Is that supposed to be like that? I don't know I'm stupid

We looked into it but working it into the SoC engine would basically mean exporting a new view model for every single gun we wanted to match to a suit, so we're not doing it.

Presumably because given that Lurk is implementing many new weapons and replacing (all?) the vanilla weapon models, they'd be no use to them anyway.

10007 is indeed very glorious, getting an insane FPS boost with it. FDL with everything maxed @150+ FPS with my GTX260 Black Edition. Niceeeee
How exactly did you get it? What's the current version Steam runs?
Steam uses 1.0005. Apparently 1.0007 is just some wizard patch for wizards.

Unfortunately, I can't. I've tried several times to record and/or livestream my run through SoC since I started it, but every time I try to, SoC crashes for whatever unfathomable reason. It may just be my computer, it [I]has[/I] been giving me issues for the past few months, but I don't know.
