I'm using Zone of Alienation and every time I accept a quest, it just crashes. What is going on?

Can someone tell me how to downgrade shoc to 1.0005? Kinda stumped

This can also be used if you get screen tearing or level glitching, where you see like yellow lines appear on the screen, or black textures etc. (often the textures which are missing are purple, so you know) Just type it and hit enter. You screen will go black and after this it will be using the res you just typed in :)

Alright, guys, recommend which mod to play on Shadow of Chernobyl tonight. I had a lot of fun with AMK, didn't like LURK due to the lack of content, and I am scared of Solyanka (plus my Russian is shoddy at best).

How does one go about making a second STALKER SOC Install. Running setup via the disk just attempts to launch the game no matter what.

I would try editing registy/removing reg files for 1st installation, then installing it again, then adding the old files too.

Well I use 1.0005 for my own mod basis. As it was built on-top of 1.0005 files and is still being made with them.
I'd just imagine making a 1.0004 installation separate for ZOA would be best.
I guess if worst comes to worst. I'll have no choice but to downgrade. :suicide:

My mod :v: idk mashup of le awesome stuff I found on various sites, russian and english ones, without the MISERY textures tho. It's PRZ2 for CoP (so lush green everything) It's just dusk and orangy everywhere, hence it looks like MISERY.

Pack the first installation to a .rar file and unpack to a different directory, you'll have two installs which should function properly. If you want to have simultanously 1.004 and 1.005 then you simply just install the game , patch to 1.004, pack that, update the non-packed version to 1.005 and unpack the 1.004 to a different directory.

Oh jesus, the Zone of Alienation mod looks exactly like what I want. The basis of AMK but with more goodies on top of it!

It does look good. Mines 15 mins from finishing download. And I believe I've almost got my second install of Stalker working at 1.0004.
You can't see the milky way with the full moon in the sky.
r2_aa = 0 doesn't work for getting rid of the yellow hue the game gives off in ZOA. Is deleting shaders really the only choice?
Oh for fuck sake.
I've tried r2_aa 0 and switching shaders but the mod still looks fucked up with the latest patch.

Downgrading time. My non-technical brain is ready to be blown away.
I deleted the shaders folder and it's okay but the game looks really boring now.
