Man, that article really brought back some sour memories. I think all of us were just as confused as those guys at GSC about why it was all getting shut down. Sergei's a millionaire and he holds the STALKER IP--why hasn't he done anything with it? Where is he? I hope someday we'll find out what's really going on in that head of his.

i like to imagine that sergei really wants the best for the series and is waiting for a good dev team to come along who can do the series justice

ground is way too dark for the sky to be that bright imo

Make the ground brighter. From personal experience walking home in the dark your eyes would adjust and make it all fuzzy to compensate (cones and rods in your eyes or some shit.) but I don't think you could do that.

Moon illumination is a thing a lot of games didn't got properly, if you ask me; at clear or partially clear night sky you can see most things' silhouettes.

There's one thing I'd really like to see. Stars in their proper places, orion's belt, big dipper and everything. Also too many stars, if you'd be able to see that many stars it would have to be pitch black with no moon in the sky. But it looks okay.

Okay, I can't bare to not play this so I just started a new game again. Tell me something before I begin so I don't fuck up.

Is there another good freestart mod for shadow of chernobyl? Other than Dooms? I'm getting back into stalker again and wanting to try out new mods. If none come to mind, then throw out a few good recommendations and I'll check them out. If it's not too much at least.

Joking aside. I really enjoy doom's merger, just looking for other mods to try out. It doesnt have to be initial freeplay. Finishing the story and then getting to dickaround in the world is just fine too. Any mod that is like that.

It doesn't seem like the "best" soup, tho. Tecnobacon is the most well set up version, I think.
