I kinda want to play SoC after not touching the games for a year and lurk was p fun but the recoil was retarded
I'm playing vanilla SoC and I keep finding marked stashes on my PDA that are empty when they shouldn't be, anyone know what is up with that? I've never had something like this happen before.
From what I've understood by posts from other people they become empty if you get the the info of them while they're within the switch_distance of you and you don't collect them before you save and reload.
What if Lost Alpha became like 60$ / 60 EU
Guys has the Steam version of SHoC been updated to 1.0006? If so, how come they've only done it now as it's been out ages? To my knowledge it's just a Multiplayer patch, right?
About to re-install it to have a playthrough but i'm worried no mods will work with it now.

I'd say it was definitely worth the money, especially if it was moddable like the base games are now. The thing I'm really worried about is the DRM because forced Steam does not sound enticing at all due to Steam liking to force updates on you so it breaks mods and other things like online dependency so if GSC'll end up selling it like legit products I hope that there would be a boxed version available.

You'd have to do it yourself. Changing Cam_relax_speed to anything above 0 should help. Ai has theirs set for 360 so take that for what you will.
You have to do it for every gun.
Well, Lost Alpha is already a standalone game so it would make sense for it to be moddable like the base game is today.

So I had to reinstall/format C drive (Good thing everything was on the other drives) because Windows was not starting up at all and so on.
The best thing is that I can play games in fullscreen without it stuttering and locking up.
So I played S.T.A.L.K.E.R and adjusted the gamma and god damn this shit looks beautiful with darker gamma settings.

As far as I know that Stalker was suppose to be dead in one of the labs. Doom's mod revives all of those kinds of people.

So after trying several times to do Noah's mutant defense mission in SGM I had to give up when the stalkers and I finally got overwhelmed. Funnily enough, an Alpha Squad tried to kill me in the middle of the waves; I shot 2 of them and had to hunker down inside the barge to avoid the rest. Noah was killed shortly after when a ton of boards forced their way into his room, but much to my good fortune the remaining assortment of mutants turned on the 3-4 Alpha squad guys left and they pretty much annihilated each other. By the time I stepped out every Alpha was dead and all that was left to kill was a couple of fleshes. I grabbed both Compass artifacts off Noah's body and headed back to Beard, surprised that I managed to come out ahead with a pack full of looted artifacts and Alpha squad gear.

I think Kirovich was working on a fix, at least for Doom's Mod Merge.

IF by making a fix, you mean changing all the settings to something like 10 [or 200 for hilarity] then yeah, I did..
But finding a good place in between is good.
Shotguns should be like..4, Assault rifles should be 6 Sniper rifles should be 4, sub machineguns should be 10 or so and pistols should be 8-9. Cam_relax_speed = 8 would be what you would have. So if you use notepad++ and you go into each folder and change them all by mass, then it should work out.
There is more to it than just the cam_relax_speed, but I think that may be the most important part, at least for a decent and temp fix.
Am I the only one who loves the Brain Scorcher while it's active in SoC? It looks so cool. And the low bass noises it makes.
I also love those psi-emission sounds in SoC that you can hear for example when you're fighting your way to X10.
A sound loop would be kickass, it's propably somewhere in the game files, how to open .db files?

you are not doing it right
1.extract socpup in your stalker folder.
2.copy paste "cmd" in your stalker folder
3.open cmd
4.type "socpup -unpack gamedata.db(a,b,c,9,8whatever)
there you go.
Should I start Soup from the very scratch and not rely on the guide at all.
