Rewrite the entire engine and check every single linecode for you? You have been here since launch. So? Do you expect much respect from that attitude? People in here are pretty chill and overall very friendly. You probably take that as childish? I don't know! Put those aside, I think the only solution here is startign a new game. After starting, go straight to the Stingray 2 for the map and see if Pilot will give you a discount. But before doing that, hardsave your previous game in case the new game doesn't work. Good luck.

But usually we're all a friendly group who like to converse about a series we love

First of all im aware of the fact that pretty much every variable in the game is easily modifyable through game files and was asking about that pretty much the entire time. Also I dont consider playing games with people to be chill Secondly I had already tried reloading the save and doing it again. When I say ive been here a while im saying im not clueless to the game like people seem to think

Obviously nobody knows a solution for your rarely discovered issue and you somehow see it as people not giving you a straight response/getting trolled. If you keep asking around even when people clearly don't know, of course they get tired of it and start replying for shits and giggles. Come on man, this isn't a tea party. Just stop the drama and move on, it's a minor bug and you're making such a huge fuss about it. Actually, you're not even caring about the issue anymore, you're just whining about the thread. Whatever happened to the Russian mod with modular attachments on guns? Did that ever see the light of day? Had different types of scopes and stuff like extended magazines. Oh and I was planning to do another playthrough of SHOC for the 50000th time. Any new mods? I think I've played them all and want something new, would anyone know any mods that add new levels or ones from CS or CoP? I've tried Secret Trails 2, NLC, People Soup and all those other good russian mods.

I think i've asked before and I've done something to sort of fix, but is there any way to keep sniper rifles and shit from snapping my neck when using them? In doom's merge at least, on ShoC. It's not as bad as it used to be, or at least I don't notice it, but like.. Shooting sometimes makes the camera flip right the fuck out. I've changed cam inerts and stuff. I remember it being a problem with Lurk? Or well something along the lines of that.

I am just getting back into STALKER and am having a major issue. I recently purchased a Sound Blaster ZXR and the sound effects in STALKER (both SHOC and COP) sound like they are behind me. When I shoot, move, open bags, the sound effects sound behind me and drowned out. I tried turning off all the extra effects from the Creative Panel but no go. Anyone else experience this?

Try changing the EAX options in the game.

If Pilot doesn't give you a discount after giving him the area maps and reloading an earlier save doesn't work then you should just restart the game. Although seeing as you're probably decently far into your playthrough it might just be better to go along with it and pay the extra cash, as far as I know there's no easy way to modify through the game files for how much you have to pay him. Call of Pripyat is one of the easiest of all the games to stack up on cash so having to pay the extra amount shouldn't be that big of a deal. Sorry that there is no other way to fix this problem (unless one of the modders here knows what variable to change). Hopefully this answers your original question, now can we all just stop this senseless fighting and continue on with our normal quirky routine in the thread?

I might just have the wrong mindset when it comes to these games but I usually don't ever find exploration that worthwhile unless I'm in the area for a mission or items of value. I didn't really explore the swamps that much. I gathered some loot from a couple stashes and then went straight for the Renegade base and now I'm clear to go on to Cordon.
