So, I heard about that MISERY 2 mod for CoP. Does it fix the super restricted FoV in vanilla? It was like 65 or something and I can't play anything below 90.
Also, not directly related but the worst part about the game for me was finding the toolkits and certain mission items. Is there a good guide somewhere about the exact locations of those items?
Lastly, if I wanted to start with The Black Road, anyone got some tips so I don't get horribly murdered 100 times in a row?

You're not ready for MISERY. Trust me. Neither are you for The Black Road.
But,
There's a FOV switcher out there that can (even on vanilla) extend your FOV. Google is your friend.
Next up, there are guides yes. Again, google is your friend :v:
And lastly, you are going to get murdered a lot. But, plan ahead, look around, play really slow and use soundwhoring. (Playing MISERY with headphones is a must, it's also recommended by the whole team)
Is there any updated Russian/Ukraine voice lines with english captions/subtitles? I am using one now, but the normal chitchatter outside of convos is not translated, and since I can't speak any slavic languages, I feel like I miss out a lot. If it matters, I am running the steam version of CoP with SGM 2.2.

The older version of Doom'sModMerge for CoP has subtitles for NPCs talking to you.

I don't think the "chitterchatter" is translated by anyone, if you refer to NPCs talking to eachother and all the rest is just the usual "'eyyyyy broo" and the stock lines the traders say when you open/close the dialog with them.

Thinking more like when you pass them, what they shout/say in combat.
So yeah

I wonder why it's so dark doe. Brighter in-game :/

It looks neat, but I hope it doesn't have the infamous "effect works, but doesn't cast light" shit that's been plaguing my campfires; they're as pitch black as the night sometimes, especially in CoP.

I'm also creating a custom fire animation for them to cast light with. What type of radius are we talking about here for such a fire? 15m approx? or 10?

I'd say you should use the Rookie Village campfire for fine tuning. Try making it so that Wolf doesn't sit around in pitch darkness while he watches the guys eat their sausages down there, and if possible try fine tuning it so that the light has a more prolonged fade.
I don't know, really. Maybe it's just me but there was always something off about those camp fires.
Will do :)
Some screens of the early works + optimising my shaders;

less that 60FPS indoors isn't very good

I know, I'm still trying to balance my shaders. They're really intense in combination with the textures and particles :v:
edit
Also, some graphically intense cfg commands were turned on (r2_allow_r1_lights) along with (r2_gi) tweaked.
r2_gi is global illumination right?
AFAIK OGSE configurator tool has that as an experimental feature and last I tried it my framerate dropped by like, 40.

Yup, but if you're able to control the intensity of the photon settings you might have a really subtle effect against some (10/20FPS) performance loss. Without my shaders i was rocking straight 80 FPS and higher :v: I really must optimise them though. I've now used both OGSE and 1.0007 shaders as base for them and they dropped significantly with the FPS
Loner1, I got a good idea: Take a chuck of a road near Chernobyl, try to sell it as an artifact.

That's ... ingenius Oo
Also on the topic of artefacts. I was capturing some video when I later (watching the footage back) came to the conclusion I was only showing off 1 artefact (gravi) (dumb, i know) So I'm asking for 1 thing;
Does anyone either have a vanilla save with lots of artefacts (or just really late into the game)? I tend to delete my saves from time to time. I'm a save whore and hard-save like 20+ times a day :v:

I think I can make a save like that in few seconds. Just tell me which patch. I use the Atlas Spawn menu for that sort of stuff.
I'm home, brothers!
Boy, that was awesome.
Blog three (the best one yet) is written but pictures need uploading and adding etc, it's going to have to wait for tomorrow as I'm shattered.
Welcome back Stalker. :)

I'm up very late and I mis-read that as "Vacation", which turns all of Pripyat into a beach-style resort.
The Bandits are muscle-bound Surfy douchebags, and everyone and everything wears sunglasses/swimsuits.

Nice! (I don't want to incorporate A.S.M because of the merging I would've to do and I'd also have to remove it afterwards :v: too lazy)
If you could give me a save just before pripyat, 1.0005, with all artefacts on you I'd be happy!

Can this be a thing now?
Can this be a thing now?
yes
I remember reading somewhere that there are 200ish people on the Zone who have sneaked in and are trying to live it out as Stalkers or something. I can't remember where I found the article, so I'm not sure if it's totally bogus or not.
[editline]27th September 2013[/editline]
You see any Stalkers, Beacon?

This is the biggest and best blog yet, you should definitely try and read all the way through!
I'll be uploading all the pictures I took on my trip when I get back to uni this weekend, as my connection here at home isn't nearly fast enough, and I still need to watermark them!
Anyone here play Cop: Reloaded?
Looks amazing and it already has Atmosfear included, would I have to add Absolute Nature to it though or is that included too? It's also in Beta, does it run O.K?
