I remember trying to take out a group of zombies from the anomalous bridge in Zaton. The Ak74u was fun for trying to snipe them at the campfire by the Scar Anomaly.

Depends. In misery if you have AP rounds and a totally upgraded Strelok's SIG, then you can go full auto for the chest.
Otherwise, it's prudent to fire bursts aimed at the higher torso.
Full auto on chest is for Colt's and UMP's

this is reminding me of how much i am craving an FPS with this shit:
-in/out zoom animations
-more animations than just empty/not empty (like what crysis 2 did)
-gun inertia
-the sound of the magazine hitting the ground
-animations when the gun's jammed
-being able to drop guns
-melee attacks with the gun
if a game had all that shit then i'd cream my pants

oh yeah, is misery fun and worth playing through? i had it installed a few months ago but got stuck because i ran out of ammo and shit like immediately, and the screen effects that happened when you were low on health gave me migraines.
i just played an FPS with dropped magazines making a sound and i cant remember what it was. I do agree with you in more animation variation. good reload animations in fps's get my dick rock hard and if there were more than just the standard 1or two per gun...oh man

Kicking enemies with a gun stock is not a melee attack.
Melee attack is when you swap to the mighty boot/crowbar/knife/bloody axe/gauntlet/chainsaw/fists/whatever close combat weapon you have on button "1" and destroy the fucker.
so, i installed Misery 2.0 a few weeks ago, and i've been getting my shit kicked in non-stop.

The only times you can use a weapon while sprinting is when you use the alternate fire, though. Why would they include that?
Can anyone tell me how to spice the ai a little bit in shadow of chernobyl? I'm playing it with complete 2012 [sp]please dont kill me, i know everyone dislikes the mod but i've played it a thousand times with oblivion lost and once with lurk, wanted something else[/sp]
I can take shots from a kilometre away at enemies, bullet misses, they don't react.
Bullet hits, sometimes they don't give a shit, sometimes they pull out their gun but don't react in any other way.
Everything would be fine but my favorite weapons are snipers, close up the AI does shoot back.

I'm fairly sure they were overthinking it. Default_to_ruck, as far as I can tell, decided whether, when you pick the item up, it'll default to the rucksack (such as artifacts), or be equipped straight to any empty slot (such as weapons (I think)).

i think zrp has some option with AI can't remember now, you can also enable npc being able to use grenades.

You could try going to gamedata\config\creatures and opening the files for enemy factions, such as m_bandit.ltx and adjusting some values in the "Visibility" subjection a little higher and see if that does anything. I think that eye_range could be raised seeing as Complete reduces the senses of enemies in that regard.

I think that's due to a string of changes they made to the A.I senses (their hearing is also reduced, knife produces zero sound now as well) so that "stealth" could be made more possible which is theoretically an intent I could agree with, problem is that it makes the A.I complete potato in firefights and their helplessness is further boosted by the fact that Complete also tweaks the gun configs, making all guns for the player more accurate.

So complete has it set to 40 for bandits at least, raised it to 80, this will be interesting.

Could one set AI to more attentive when alerted? So if someone fires a shot the AI is a shitton harder to stealth etc?

Kind of pointless in my opinion, as I understand it's basically 'just' a graphics overhaul + some rebalancing. Also from what I've read around it has a habit of corrupting savegames.

Yeah, there are multiple visibility configs for AI. I think humans have idle, alert and combat.

So I've install ZoA mod (downgrade it and all) and started playing it (it looks amazing), problem is when i try to load one of my ZoA saves, it crashes straight to desktop.
Any ideas? I have a log too but I don't know what part I should copy for you guys.

Basically when it crashes it copies automatically the "relevant" part to the clipboard so after you crash you can just paste into the comment box. Also you could try /vg/'s S.T.A.L.K.E.R. general, the modder(s) behind ZoA hangs out there so you're more likely to get the problem and solution pointed to you faster.

Ah awesome cheers, decided to backtrack steps , follow exact instructions and did a clean install of ZoA. Haven't encountered any issues now. If anything else happens I'll go on the /vg/ thread again (got some good links for proper installation from there thanks to you.)
