After returning to the Zone for one last mission Strelok is teleported by a mysterious anomaly to another planet. The planet he appears on looks just like the Zone on earth, although even more overgrown, with plenty of new anomalies. It turns out that the entire planet he is on is in fact the Zone, which is an infestation of sorts that destroys planets. Earth is the next in line to be terraformed by the mysterious infestation and Strelok is the only one who can stop it. Directed by Michael Bay written by Amez under the influence.
I miss the explosives in this trailer -------------------------------------------------- Another notion! It's CE again!
I've been playing Misery. As the sniper class. Which in itself is kind of pointless. Seeing as the Mosin feels like a friggin pea shooter. Hit someone in the head and they still don't go down. I'd understand maybe 2 shots for Helmet'd troops, but each time it seemed to take like 4-5.
Sniper is probably the best class, imo.. Try picking up the higher-grade ammunition from Owl if you really can't down someone.
anyone know how DoF effects work? specifically, the variables that control the effect? [editline]28th October 2013[/editline] also, PDM_disp variables in CoP's weapon configs files. I am at a loss.

Someone explained them in detail And DoF? In CoP? and do you mean when looking (like normally holding your gun), because that's controlled with the system configs in DX10 and above, while reload DoF can be done in any DX mode IIRC. But, you'd need the script for that (i posted it somebit earlier)
Specifically, I'm wondering what the three variables in
zoom_dof = 0.5, 1.0, 180 reload_dof = 0.0, 0.5, 5, 2
do.
IIRC distance and strength values, try maxing them to certain values and see what happens when you apply my script to the game :v: I didn't really mess with those values in CS or CoP so I wouldn't know

The best weight to price ratio are these of the maintenance components (those sheets, oils, cleaning/repairing kits, etc) These net you the most from a normal raid.
Well I'm currently sat at THE perfect place (From what I've found so far) Camping spot as a sniper. The bridge just near the Merc plant. There's a small camp in the valley that the bridge overlooks and the ranger station just to the right of it. There is ALWAYS groups of people wandering through or camping in the valley. I just camp under the bridge, run back to Skadvosk to sell some of the loot and run back. [editline]28th October 2013[/editline] Easily racked up a good 15 kills in one stalker day from passing Bandits and Mercs.

Cheeki Breeki iv damka! No but seriously. Anyone else know any great spots to camp out at and get some nice kills?
Cheeki Breeki iv damka! No but seriously. Anyone else know any great spots to camp out at and get some nice kills?
The checkpoint at Yanov. If you have a good snoipah gun thing or Gauss raifu, you can net a huge amount of corpses quickly.

You can pretty much do a circuit each day and snag some loot that way. It's like artifact hunting, but even less internally consistent.

I'll have to figure out a good raiding plan.
God damnit. Borrowed call of pripyat to friend. Returns the disc without the original box, disc all scratchy. Installer doesn't find gamedata2db on the disc. Had to :yarr: the game again to get it to install properly. At least the CD key worked.
I believe so. It also has Skeletons!
Whoa what? Skeletons?

And to think the same dude wanted to borrow one of my motorbikes earlier this year, glad i didn't.
Yoooo where da screletanz at??
Quick question for Misery 2.0 I've accidentally killed some stalkers. Is there some penalty for this? like stalkers shooting me on sight or anything?
Quick question for Misery 2.0 I've accidentally killed some stalkers. I see a lot of Stalker groups wonder past and realise I am hesitant to kill and loot them in fear of turning the entire neutral population to enemy. Is it only affecting those who Witness said shooting, or does it just do the general reputation and relation changes causing everyone to shoot you.
It was about time you started posting those again, Daem. Glad to have you back :)
I missed you guys.
God damn it misery. My save is useless now. Blowout, running towards cover and suddenly I get 3FPS and a face full of bandits, and when I reload the save. Suddenly I start to die no matter what from the blowout. Why is Misery the ONLY mod that makes even DX9 run like absolute ass. This is using Bangalores new DLL also and it's made no difference. I want to love Misery but so many things keep putting me back off it. :suicide:
up ur bute lol
fantastic i set sexpedition there now.
Also why are even the most BASIC of stalkers practically Immune to grenades exploding right at their feet but I get killed even quite a distance away... [editline]28th October 2013[/editline] Damn my automerge.
Yoooo where da screletanz at??
OGSE, X... 16, I think.
One thing I still disagree to this day is introducing gear checks in Misery 2.0 and higher. If only AI coding were more sophisticated. I wish to see more games with XCOM-ish difficulty: The health and damage are only slightly changed, but the main focus is shackling the AI at lower difficulties and giving it all the cards in the highest difficulties. Imagine having Complete AI on Novice; You can run 50 meters away from a bandit and he won't see you. Enemies can get sniped and they don't give a shit. Generally they have Downs syndrome and act like slowpokes. Likewise, OGSE AI on Wizard; enemies sight you quickly, have good accuracy (though weapon modifies this if it's in breaking condition etc.) and constantly try to flank you, making fights against larger groups a very challenging task. See, that would introduce a skill ceiling in the main point of combat in STALKER: first-person shooting. The RPG mechanics that it has here and there are complementary IMO, not the focal point. Of course, this topic has been discussed and even raged to hell and back; I just happen to be an optimist and hope to see this happen one day. It's not what Misery 2.x promised and I am aware of that, but it's what I would consider true difficulty.
