Indeed! Welcome to Facepunch, where the forum sometimes lives up to it's name! [editline]31st October 2013[/editline] On a totally unrelated topic, who knows 'Raindrop'? ;) [t]http://media.moddb.com/images/mods/1/19/18111/raindrop.jpg[/t]
Has anyone ever experienced a mass migration of Stalkers before? I'm playing Misery and came across the old Guard Checkpoint at Yanov, (Where Jack's bandits are.) And all of them were gone, the whole place was empty. So i look up the road and see 10 bandits just waking off into the sunset. Cheeki Breeki, my friends.

I'm pretty much done with the Valley of Whispers translation, although I have to play through the whole mod with it (so far I've played a chunk of it and fixed a couple few errors), but it's playable. There were some parts where I couldn't find out what they meant, but yeah, not much else I could do about them.
Eh, I was going to be obnoxious but realized it would just make me seem like an asshole and give you unneeded abuse. So welcome to the forums!
Hey don't worry about it, and thanks for the welcome. Has anyone heard any news on lost alpha?
Hey don't worry about it, and thanks for the welcome. Has anyone heard any news on lost alpha?
You're welcome. :v:
me again does anyone know what:
position = -0.026, -0.175, 0.0 orientation = 0, 0, 0
defines for weapons. Clearly a position and orientation, yes, but in what state?
xyz xyz?
So. Merc in a generic Merc suit can tank almost HALF a drum mag of 9x18 Armour piercing from 4 feet away. BUT I get hit by 2 rounds of 5.56 from quite a long way away whilst wearing a jacked up Sunrise suit and I die. And the fact a pack of chewing gum costs more to buy and sells for more than a FUCKING MACHINE GUN is beyond me. I mean sure it's like 15% condition AKSU. But...like...seriously. How is that worth barely a quarter of a pack of gum, or a can of tuna. [editline]1st November 2013[/editline] I would ALSO love to know, how they know EXACTLY where I am in the tunnel underneath them and can proceed to kill me from directly above me, through a PURE CONCRETE FLOOR between us... Fuck Misery.

And now out of nowhere it crashes on loading game. Yeah. I'm done with Misery till they fix that shit and sort it out. Cause that's ridiculous. Even with Hardcore AI aim off that have fucking godlike aim for no reason. [editline]1st November 2013[/editline]
;42717519']Artificial Difficulty: The mod...for now anyawy. They need to SERIOUSLY overhaul the AI, weapon play and Economy.
MISERY is riddled with fake difficulty, but they encourage tweaking and modding on their website. If you don't like something, change it. I love the features of MISERY but I don't like the difficulty as much. I tweaked some of the starting gear and the repair prices / food prices and, while the game is still difficult, it's much more fun in my opinion.
what patch?
Not a patch, new version :v: 2.1 More info will be released later on
xyz xyz?
no no no, I've figured that out. What I meant (and perhaps I should have been more clear) is in the config there are various co-ordinates and rotations for various states (aiming down sights, weapon slung/holstered, etc), and while I know what some of them are, there are rather a lot of them.
position = -0.026, -0.175, 0.0 orientation = 0, 0, 0 strap_position = -0.26,-0.11,0.25 ; position (offset) and orientation of the weapon when it is strapped strap_orientation = -15,-9,110 ; (3rd person view in degrees) hands_position = -0.120500,-0.180999,0.132501 hands_orientation = -2.599998,0.000000,-2.549999 hands_position_16x9 = -0.119500,-0.199000,0.091000 hands_orientation_16x9 = -0.750000,1.700000,-4.199999 item_position = 0.004111,0.008527,-0.005906 item_orientation = -15.488927,-3.320898,367.220154 hands_position = -0.120500,-0.180999,0.132501 hands_orientation = -2.599998,0.000000,-2.549999 hands_position_16x9 = -0.119500,-0.199000,0.091000 hands_orientation_16x9 = -0.750000,1.700000,-4.199999 item_position = 0.004111,0.008527,-0.005906 item_orientation = -15.488927,-3.320898,367.220154 aim_hud_offset_pos = -0.101500,0.012500,-0.018000 aim_hud_offset_rot = -0.032500,-0.032500,0.020000 aim_hud_offset_pos_16x9 = -0.100000,0.033500,0.029000 aim_hud_offset_rot_16x9 = 0.002500,-0.002500,-0.007500 gl_hud_offset_pos = 0,0,0;-0.053000,-0.059000,0.000000 gl_hud_offset_rot = 0,0,0;-0.145000,0.000000,0.000000 gl_hud_offset_pos_16x9 = 0,0,0;-0.130000,0.003500,0.000500 gl_hud_offset_rot_16x9 = 0,0,0;0.052500,0.045000,-0.010000 lean_hud_offset_pos = 0,0,0 lean_hud_offset_rot = 0,0,0
Yes, those config lines are for the offset of the model in front of the actors vision while holstering a gun. With these, you can fine-tune the position you want the weapon to take (so If you think it's way to pointed to the centre, you can offset it a bit to the right, or more left etc.) A friend of mine is pretty good with these values.
I've tried everything! Bumrushing, throwing grenades, smoking joints and using psy protect medicine, and I still get killed in like 3 seconds flat.
You simply can not do it without the proper head-gear. I found that the broken mask by the oakpine anomaly (one of the mechanics dead friends) is already modded to have a large psy protection increase- perhaps for this very reason. Paying the ridiculous amount to fix it and smoking a few joints let me get into the mid-range with a shotgun and deal with all three of the poltergeists.

You still dealt less damage to them than they did to you which got on my nerves, but the late game wasn't easy as shit like it was in pretty much every other CoP game ever. you could argue that SGM can be difficult if you get caught by a few Alpha Squads, regardless of your gear, but I call bullshit on that one; army exoskeleton, gauss rifle and anomalous vintorez are so overpowered it's not even funny.

Just plan ahead. Move a lot, flank, nade etc. This, being very early into the game without any good loot :v: Also, I hope you guys will like MISERY 2.1, as we've done lots and lots revamping :) [editline]1st November 2013[/editline] Lol you have 6.666 posts
that mask has been bugged since vanilla, the psy protection upgrade is a power of ten more powerful than it should be very surprised that wasn't fixed in misery :/
God, that's nearly as big a bug as the original overflow (backflow?) that led to Ghandi rolling down below 1 to a maximum nuke rating in Civ 2 or whatnot. Maybe the spirits inhabiting the tattered, worn mask help protect Degratyev against foul zone psy emissions.
I had another S.T.A.L.K.E.R.-related dream. It was a rollercoaster in Pripyat. There were two zombies at the entrance smoking cigarettes, but they were nearly falling out of their mouths so I didn't pay much heed. There were some loners in Sunrise Suits with me, four or five IIRC. As I got to the rollercoaster entrance, it was a small wooden shack with an old school title board; you know, the type that has two different light switches turning on and off to make an illusion of a moving image? It was of a skeleton in a top hat. So we walk into the pitch black wooden shack and there's water dripping somewhere. We find our seats and somehow I know the loner next to me is Blaberry. He turns to me in the darkness and says to me in Ashot's voice: "Vasilyev! We're going to have a joyous ride today!" Suddenly the cart begins moving at huge speeds. The acceleration is so sudden I hear my spine crack (didn't feel anything though) against the metallic seat. All of the stalkers are screaming in classic CoP voice-acting. Here's my attempt at presenting their screams of terror. We went uphill, downhill, sideways, 360 on the tracks, and I think I saw a bloodsucker at some point. When the ride arrived to the shack again, it decelerated as quickly as it had accelerated, throwing me in a nice arc on the tracks. Blaberry walks to me and says again in classic Ashot voice: "Come on, Vasilyev, what are you laying down there for? Did you find a joint, hah!" I get on my feet and walk towards the entrance. However, as I walk through the doorway I enter the shack again (thinking back, it was probably my dream's attempt at simulating space anomalies). The stalkers get into the cart again and Blaberry shouts me, who apparently is called Vasilyev, to get in the cart too. I get in and I see an exoskeleton in the middle of the circular tracks waving at me. We went like a bazillion rounds on that thing before I woke up and I had a huge headache and felt nauseous as I got out of bed. Hell, even the Zone has Mr. Bones' Wild Ride, it seems.
Does anyone know of a mod for SoC that adds lots of new weapons? I've already played AMK Sidorovich Edition with the Arsenal mod and I'm looking for something new.
Just to kick off my arrival to this thread... I think stalker is absolutely amazing. But I completely suck at the game lol I can't get used to the controls... I also can't seem to aim for shit lmfao The game is by far one of my favorites though... I have only played SoC though.
I actually can't find a working download link for AMK SE with Arsenal. Could someone link it for me?
Misery is hard, in fact it can be down right mean...but I can't seem to stop playing it. If you want a challenge go for for it.
I'm not really complaining, but... Am I seeing an increase in rookies? Where's Wolf?

The rewarding feeling I get when something actually works out, is what makes me come back [sp]and the fact im a dev but lets not think about that lol[/sp] :v:
