Always nice to see new features added to SoC, though it'd be nice to see the detectors as a minimod by themselves. For the Veles, is that minimap as in the Veles' screen, or on the actual UI minimap?
Can anyone here upload their xrCore.dll for me from the bin folder of shadow of chernobyl? I can't verify the file on Steam or else all my mods will get deleted.
I need your help fellow Stalkers. Wanted to start Shadow of Chernobyl but when trying to change the resolution to 1366x768 the game just freezes with a black screen, any ideas?

Those NPCs... But the scientists are even worse. Do mods fix this? I know that some mods changed the ALife system back in SoC, but not sure about CoP as I never played that with any mod.
Also I never attacked anyone first in the game, until I saw this bandit called Jack with an Eleminator... He even had like 17.000RU with him, sold him all my medpacks and stuff before freeing him from the zone.

Holy shit dude you've got 60 medkits and 150 bandages
And I thought my loadout was excessive
And I didn't even had my exoskeleton then, gotta love hercules + energy drinks. But I play on the easiest difficulty, so I guess it's no wonder. And that's usually the only things I take from enemys: bandages, medkits and other drugs. Or when I'm low on ammunition, which somehow just happens to be with the sniper rifle ammo, always have to go back to zaton to buy some.

I take it you meant the fact that bandits are too friendly across the board and only shoot on sight if you get a certain achievement.
If that's the case there are A.I tweaks that make some simulated bandit squads hostile toward you but allow you to still interact with important bandit characters.
Personally I use just MSO (short for Massive Simulation Overhaul) for that purpose which also makes mercenaries and other riff-raff spawn in the maps and generally makes the A-Life much better. It's not save-compatible with vanilla though (as is the rule for most mods for stalker).

That's one of the things that just [I]is[/I] about STALKER, I don't think any widely recognized mod has gone out to fix it.

Well this and mostly their movement, like the scientists walking around in the bunker. They literally stop to turn a few degrees or just walk around while their upper body is rotated like 90 degree.

All ready for the way to pripyat, once again. Also somehow I wasn't able to hire noah, he just gave me a second compass artifact when I payed him a visit, after greeting me as usual. :tinfoil:
And I must say, I really hate dwarfs, or better, searching my weapons after killing them with the knife.
You were never able to recruit Noah, as far as I know.

I believe recruiting Noah was a cut feature. Though there's an unofficial patch around somewhere (in Russian) that re-enables him.

I'd really like if GSC or Vostok Games would release the design document for Call of Pripyat. Or if some Vostok employees just would share some of the development things that the audience never got to hear about. Probably wouldn't be anything as interesting as the SoC / CS design documents since as I've understood it Call of Pripyat was the most "complete" game as in it didn't suffer a fate like Clear Sky where a lot of levels got cut out in their entirely (with some later recycled for CoP) but it would be kind of interesting anyway.

I once left station with 72 medkit and 32 bandage. I returned with no medkit and no bandage. I was also out for days. Such is life in the zone (and when no one drops medkits)

This is a bit late of a reply, but I'd compare it to Fallout in terms of gameplay when I describe it to somebody because you're progressing through a relatively open post-apocalyptic world and progressing through different groups of hostiles and questing around for things. In terms of atmosphere it could be compared to Metro 2033 or Roadside Picnic, they're all what I call 'anomaly thrillers' in my mind with similar atmospheres. Roadside Picnic (what I managed to read of it) by far felt like it had the most captivating and immersive atmosphere to me, although it did have the advantage of being a book with the capacity for description rather than a game where everything's visually represented.
