I'm not seeing any table there, young man.
Can anyone with a strong PC take screenshots from these saved positions with absolutely maxed out settings? Playing Redux LITE. http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?ltsv981dtt4f5l8 IF you can install a texture pack on top, that would be great. Thanks in advance.
Even when I hide the HUD the coordinates or w/e at the lower left corner of the screen don't disappear. [editline]8th May 2013[/editline] Nevermind

The SVD comes standard with a PSO-1 scope, a 4x24 device which includes a battery-operated reticule and a passive infared filter. It was the first practical version of what is considered today as a designated marksman's weapon. It is still manufactured by Izhmash in Russia.\n\nIt is chambered for the 7.62x54mm round, and has a muzzle velocity of 830m/s with an effective range of 600m and a maximum range of approximately 3000m. It is fed via a detachable 10-round box magazine, and comes standard with both a telescopic PSO-1 sight.\n\nThe Dragunov is by far the preferred long-range instrument in the Zone, and older as well as modern versions of the sniper rifle are in use by stalkers. Although not every grunt's friend, the marksmen of Chernobyl have found a best friend in the SVD. Designed for long-range combat, it is as durable and reliable as older-era Soviet weaponry, and has a natural presidence over conventional firearms in the relatively flat, open Zone.</text> </string>
http://www.mediafire.com/?il1kma89smk0cmf here you go a couple screenies with coordinates may have sneaked in, as I had to disable them via the menu every time after loading the game my redux installation is from 2011 so I have no idea if I have any texture packs, and if I do I wouldn't know what they are
http://www.mediafire.com/?il1kma89smk0cmf
I hate to bother you again, but can you retake the position1, same height, same view but: While it's raining? While the anomaly is not in te view, or casting any light? The room is partitally lit up by the light. Like this: Also, if you could record a video of the rain with lightnings, that would be fantastic.
If you can tell me how to get it to rain, sure. I don't think I can really wait ingame until it starts raining. Also, you won't get much shadows in position 1 since there's no view of the interior, I could move a bit though. [editline]8th May 2013[/editline] Mixed up pos1 with pos2, oops
What's the general FP consensus on Misery? It's almost universally praised for its difficulty on moddb but I've read reviews describing its unnecessarily realistic features which make the game more tedious than challenging.

Guys, remember Sector 23? It's back as Cry of Zone.
Which STALKER should I get as first one to play? SoC or CoP?
SoC, seeing as how CoP is a direct sequel.

Go play it and report back in the Deus Ex thread (if it's still around), you won't regret it.

Playing as a Malkavian in Vampire Bloodlines has got to be one of the most hilarious games I have played. You can have arguments with street signs
Deus Ex Malkavian: Talk with a flag and it responds: "I do not move out of the way."

Oh, and brown.
Seems that any popular mod discussed or mentioned on this board gets instantly shot down as being crap and overhyped.
i don't think that's true
Seems that any popular mod discussed or mentioned on this board gets instantly shot down as being crap and overhyped.
Everything has its own reasons. Except stack trace:
Seems that any popular mod discussed or mentioned on this board gets instantly shot down as being crap and overhyped.
no Just Misery and Complete because they are crap (though Misery isn't too crap, though it is literally crap in their choice of colours) and overhyped.
You could summarize this thread like you would The Monolith. Which is that we're awesome and have a specific view on things and you're just not open minded for it and should die. Pretty simple stuff.
The majority of you call them crap without giving any specific reason as to why. I wouldn't call Complete crap, I think they've don a good job on it but it's just wayy too easy and as for Misery i've never played it but i'll definitely be trying 1.2 when it comes out or when I have time.
Seems that any popular mod discussed or mentioned on this board gets instantly shot down as being crap and overhyped.
A lot of the hate bandwagoning seems to owe up to how the people behind the mod are perceived , I remember threads being constant dissing of ~Artist~ Pavel because he was seen as a pretentious jerkbag and a lot of the ire toward Misery has to do with the mod team's perceived poor performance when it comes to handling their PR (altough loner1 stepping up and responding to the received criticisms helped to dispel some of that)
It's almost universally praised for its difficulty on moddb but I've read reviews describing its unnecessarily realistic features which make the game more tedious than challenging.
It's okay for what it aims to be (economic scarcity, new guns, long hobo-phase) but the toted difficulty kind of falls apart when you reach mid-game since fighting mobs beside the nigh-unkillable zombies becomes a routine and in the beginning it often feels like you're battling game mechanics than the Zone itself. The 2.0 version seems much, much more interesting because the A-Life is amped up by the addition of M.S.O custom tuned to the mod (more hostile NPC mobs, more dynamic A-Life in general) meaning the mid-late game will be more interesting this time around.
