It would be cool to have that, would give npcs like the military slight tactical advantages over bandits and such

Expanding upon this more; It would be even more amazing to have diversified animations based upon ranks or NPC appearance (the first one being more awesome)
Imagine seeing a guy in the early parts of the game, and after a long playthrough you see him again and you see how he ranked up and uses a new set of animations etc.
Dreams ... dreams, dreams, dreams :v:
Is there any way to stay neutral between Freedom/Duty and recruit Strider in Misery?
Meanwhile WolfKOTTO (from Gunslinger) does this

Holy shit, that looks professional. Really hope they'll actually get around to releasing the mod :v: If there's one thing I really love in FPSs, it's good animations.

The link in OP is down, so what mods do y'all recommend for ShoC? (yes, I have played vanilla through multiple times, for all STALKERs)
I'm kind of thinking any overhaul, something like Lurk (not sure what the latest version of that is, 1.1 something?) if you've got any recommendations. I'm not sure I'm batshit enough for the soup, though.
Freeplay or vanilla walking around, I really don't mind. I like atmosphere and the gunplay.
AMK 1.41 is a good starting point. Other good mods for someone just easing into the mod 'scene are Priboi Story and R.M.A (Old Storyline Restoration Mod).
Please remember that AMK and most AMK-based mods require 1.004 patch though.
Freeplay
You could try Xiani's Freeplay Start that lets you spawn into your desired faction at the start with a custom named character and it scraps the story with all maps being open to you from the start and A-life being more opened up.
Or Doom's Mod Merge which is essentially Xiani's with LURK guns and a few other tweaks and graphical changes.
Ahh good. I've done a bit of TFW and Misery 1 and 2, and a tiny bit of SGM 2.2 for COP, but Doom's Mod Merge seems ideal for the moment.
Anyone know when Misery 2.1 is going to be ready? Need a reason to play CoP.

Too bad that animation won't be on the mod.

Pretty sure this isn't for STALKER.
Pretty sure this isn't for STALKER.
This I knew of. Too bad :v:
Pretty sure this isn't for STALKER.
Well somes of the stance seems to be remakes of the Stalker vanilla animations, like the one at 0:27.
(These kinds of stances were heavily used in Clear Sky for example)

So it's reasonnable to think that the author aim at converting these animations into X-ray engine, which is probably not such a big deal since it his something that has already be done in this mod:

Does anyone have the most updated link to TFW for Clear Sky?
Ok so i decided to dedicate my 666th post to this Thread and heres some actual content:

Get it.
No explanation needed there

Ah, that reminds me a bit of what Variant "Omega" did with the artifact detectors as well. They also had to be recharged with batteries if you want them to keep on working when used. Shame that I never got that far in the mod and didn't find an artifact to test it out on, was kind of the same with the dosimeter as well because I met no radiation, not even in the irradiated as hell part at Jupiter.

Is there any way to tweak TFW so it doesn't take half a mag to kill someone?
If I recall correctly, Teh Zip File(no it's not a typo) from this forum made a fix for TFW that does just that and also increases the NPC vision range so you couldn't just exploit the new gunplay balance by killing everyone from outside their sight range. Unfortunately I have no link to the file.
[editline]herp[/editline]
Ah yeah, the fix was called "Total Reloaded Warfare" and though I found some links for it in this thread they have expired so your best bet is to contact Teh Zip File directly with a PM and ask if he still has the fix.
An odd song brought me to a Russian radio station in NYC's site, but I couldn't understand shit, so I had it translated into this:

Some mini mod I've been working on

Features list will come soon ..
Huh, I tried out Valley of Whispers and it is actually a good amount of fun outside of the whole can't-understand-russian thing. What kinds of total-conversion mods like this are there for the STALKER games that add a new map / new scripted missions?

Instead, it's the AI killing you from half way across the map! Glorious.

There's an unofficial translation being worked on by forum user Monolits for the texts at least. I think that he's even released some early version of it.

Here it is, found from page 205.
I'm pretty much done with the Valley of Whispers translation, although I have to play through the whole mod with it (so far I've played a chunk of it and fixed a couple few errors), but it's playable. There were some parts where I couldn't find out what they meant, but yeah, not much else I could do about them.

Way to Pripyat (CoP)
Priboi Story (SHoC)
Out of curiosity, has anyone tried to make something like the SoC Freeplay mod for CoP with all the old SoC/CS levels?

Ooh, thanks a bunch. Much better than the google translator mishmash that I happened to pick up.
