I see. Well, I don't really mind hate from the internet as I know it's partially trivial to my IRL situation (while often I try to rationalise people's reactions, which fail, and thus I become frustrated or confused leading up to walls of text like the above)

So, without further a-do, a request. For the addon mod package, what would you like to see? I'm currently working with an author of a Skyrim mod on vegetation assets and sprites. [I][B]If favouritism of the community goes to certain mods, why not create PRZ2 for missouriej together, aye?[/B][/I]
Any ideas? Do mind, AN3.1 is included in MISERY 2.1 so there will be a lot of very lush envi's for you to re-explore / visit. And with ideas I mean; Flowers, bushes with flowers or something, or trees with varying colours etc.
Feel free to recommend anything you'd like to see. I currently set up a docs document which I'm going to use to finalise the PRZ2-build with. I don't know wether or not I linked this already but I'm also trying out some shaders here;
(don't mind the skybox texture, it's the wrong one but I was using some mod for this)

Thoughts? For me, I think it looks 'clean' in a way that the overall image isn't noisy / cluttered with zpixels (the see through transparent ones you always have in bushes etc. when the sprites do overlay, but don't mip) [URL="http://media.moddb.com/images/members/1/366/365208/ss_kevin_08-31-13_17-08-30_l01_escape.jpg"]as seen here[/URL]
At the moment I'm trying to see wether the textures match eachother or not and if there isn't an excessive amount of the same texture in one area;

To be honest, I don't really see much hostility around in this thread which is pretty awesome. Everybody is usually able to handle situations in a calm, mature way. If anything, it's one of most friendly threads on FP.
With that being said, I don't think anyone here really hates you or your mod to the point where they go out of their way to personally attack you and/or the mod.

And yeah, I've noticed that the STALKER megathread is still like one of the most stable threads in all of FP. Pretty much nobody ever really raises a shitstorm that they'll get banned or anything (okay Foxconn but that's an exception) and people stay surprisingly on-topic. It's just...I mean I don't know if you lurk other threads Loner1 but relatively speaking as a newcomer you should be able to tell the difference too.
As for the living addon pack you're making; the flowers are cool but I think you should spread them out a bit more.
Also, dat fps in the second picture.

Yeah I know :v: Silly me forced AA through Nvidia's graphic control. KILLS performance. Stopped with that though. And about the flowers, I will. I hope to also include the increased grass distance drawing with the download, although it can be widely found on the internet so I'll let that be up to the team, as there's going to be an installer for it anyway.

I can definitely tell the difference. Geez, some threads :v: Especially the fast threads seem creepy to me and also, that one thread with the guy wanting to use Source and recreate a stalker kind of game got pretty snazzy

It's been a while since I played CS; how different is the Yantar in Clear Sky compared to the SoC one?
Does it still have those tunnels from when you leave [sp]X16[/sp] in SoC?

The dynamic is centered around the science lab - zombies keep attacking it and the loners who are guarding it in waves but there's not a whole lot going on in other parts of the map. Like yeah, there are snorks around the chemical anomalies but mostly it's just waves of identical zombies that occasionally attack the scientist bunker. It can get kind of tense at times but when you complete the quests in the area, Yantar becomes one of the dullest locations in the game since zombies only spawn really rarely and usually far away from the science bunker so they stop being a threat the moment you complete the final quest in Yantar. The area around the factory complex likewise empties entirely as well. What's really stupid about the lack of zombie skin variety in Clear Sky is that they have all the zombie skins that are in Call of Pripyat too since there's a varied mix of different zombie types at the Factory Complex in Clear Sky Yantar but they only use the Sunrise suit model for the respawning zombies the game likes to throw in waves at the science bunker.

Had to leave this out because constant blackouts keep messing up with me : The atmosphere in Yantar in Clear Sky is pretty damn good if it wasn't for the badly executed spawning shenanigans of Clear Sky in general and Yantar specifically ; the area gets occasionally these eerie psi-emission bursts sharted out by the Miracle Machine and it makes for a good spooky atmosphere along with the fact that the nights actually get [I]dark[/I] in Clear Sky so all in all it's a good looking and sounding level but the spawns ruin it by being really hectic in the beginning and almost non-existent when you're through with the missions in the place.

No, I don't think it does since there's no X-16 in Clear Sky either.

I don't really think there's anything wrong with going with the simple "Redux". It's recognizable, rolls off the tongue naturally and isn't a generic / forgettable variation of the names of the regular games like "Call of Chernobyl", "Shadows of Pripyat" or so on. I would say that keeping with "Redux" is in my opinion the best option but maybe it could denote a little less the "2.0" part and simply call itself "Redux".
Kind of like how PreSky changed it's name to "The Zone's Call" - it probably sounds pretty impressive to the author but it's in my opion utterly generic as far as S.T.A.L.K.E.R.-inspired names go and doesn't really communicate the basic idea of the mod as well as PreSky did.
Imo as far as mod names in the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games go, "Redux", "Misery", "Priboi Story","People Soup"(even if it's an unofficial nickname) and "LURK" have some the better and more recognizable names by virtue of containing one word that just rolls right off the tongue and sums up the thematic of the mod in one or two words.
the problem is that the mod isn't Redux any more, it feels wrong to call it that now.

I mean that. I worded it a bit weird, but I meant the stuff ON the skadovsk (cryllic letters and the house with a + in the middle), not the ship itself.

the scrawling (the 'house') is the thing that's new, it's a hint to what the new 'feature' is, it's just worldbuilding and immersion really

The safehouse symbol from L4D? Well, Skadovsk is a safehouse of sorts, so.... sorry bro, not really getting it. Other than you added the mark on the texture.
The best way to add more immersion to Skadovsk is to have the bar in the lower deck be a constant site of bar fights.
And in the midst of 20 stalkers and bandits beating each other up, Pilot is just standing in the middle, by his table, looking with his dead stare at Degyarev.

I think I found out what was making Misery crash with information-less crash-logs:
Something is quite awry with the USS Recon class.
I switched to Sniper and it eliminated all of the stuttering and I haven't crashed for over an hour of playing.
