A shame weapons are based only on statistics
That's not entirely true when it comes to STALKER ; the various NATO caliber weapons generally have a flatter trajectory but the Warsaw Pact has more cover penetration ability and most weapons in STALKER are "unique" based on what type of upgrades / attachments they can fit, therefore all main weapons have their own unique role and they're not just based on the worse / better scale. Not to mention that the shifting and regional availability of scavengable ammunition also makes a difference so if we're to use SoC as a base then you could say that even though Warsaw Pact weapons are generally considered "inferior" in the weapon power rankings they're still likely to be very useful South of the Bar because they can be well kept supplied by loot drops from enemies.
Do you sometimes find yourself using an inferior weapon just because you like the feel of it?
Yeah, I've never been to minmaxing in any game. Usually I pick a weapon / armor combination based on what 'feels right' for the job like a trench coat and a TOZ-34 if I'm going mutant hunting or SEVA and a Mossberg Maverick if I'm going artifact hunting.
Is it too late to mention that I am?

;43290013']team up with loner1, thorny, millenia and jamie1992gsc make the western stalkersoup for CoP you can make it happen

stalkerpunch

STALKERSOUP 2: Back in the Habit
We can make this happen.
Remember if you are thinking of making a stalkersoup 2 you need to make it a pain in the fucking ass to install. gotta keep it true to the original.
"Please wait while the setup is preparing to gather the files for install ... " [t]http://bloggingloud.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/download_internet.gif[/t]

Can you actually go through the Pripyat tunnel w/o the SEVA on? (misery) I can't carry a PKM with the seva
Can you actually go through the Pripyat tunnel w/o the SEVA on? (misery) I can't carry a PKM with the seva
What I always did in vanilla was grab a SEVA suit, equip it in front of Zulu, then once the actual underground sequence starts I switch to an upgraded Exoskeleton. Works wonders.
Some Lost Alpha screens we missed a few days ago: [t]http://media.moddb.com/images/mods/1/12/11987/screenz3.jpg[/t] [t]http://media.moddb.com/images/mods/1/12/11987/screenz4.jpg[/t] [t]http://media.moddb.com/images/mods/1/12/11987/screenz2.jpg[/t] [t]http://media.moddb.com/images/mods/1/12/11987/screenz1.jpg[/t] That last one is actually very close to the real Pripyat, at least as close as I've ever seen.
That'll give my 270x a run for it's money all that foliage, and all those shadows.
We have no snow here in Dan's Field. Anybody got the links to all those saucy winter mods?
That looks like a completely different game already. I mean jesus christ the foliage is making Far Cry weep in shame.
It is quite interesting to see the dense foliage, but how well does it look when you actually play it?
I've noticed that the KSVK in Misery is best used like an Obrez and not an actual sniper rifle. Works wonders.
Lost Alpha screens
I've played so much SoC and CoP I think LA is the only mod that can pull me back in now. But who knows how long we'll have to wait...
those lost alpha screens.. man imagine if they had an next gen engine...
Beacon you missed the most important one. Santa is watching you.
hah! that was only posted half an hour ago!
I saw Misery won the "Worldy Award" on Moddb.
LA Christmas update: [t]http://media.moddb.com/images/mods/1/12/11987/pripyat_winter_panorama_01.jpg[/t] [t]http://media.moddb.com/images/mods/1/12/11987/pripyat_winter_panorama_02.jpg[/t] [t]http://media.moddb.com/images/mods/1/12/11987/pripyat_winter_panorama_03.jpg[/t] [t]http://media.moddb.com/images/mods/1/12/11987/brain_postprocess.jpg[/t] [t]http://media.moddb.com/images/mods/1/12/11987/ss_xray_11-15-13_00-00-16.jpg[/t] [t]http://media.moddb.com/images/mods/1/12/11987/ss_xray_12-08-13_22-29-11.jpg[/t] [t]http://media.moddb.com/images/mods/1/12/11987/ss_xray_12-08-13_22-23-21.jpg[/t] [t]http://media.moddb.com/images/mods/1/12/11987/ss_xray_09-05-13_18-22-14.jpg[/t] [t]http://media.moddb.com/images/mods/1/12/11987/la-xmas-card-2013.jpg[/t] There's apparently also an article waiting for authorisation.
Again with the 48 hour authorisation times?
We have no snow here in Dan's Field. Anybody got the links to all those saucy winter mods?
This is a recent Winter mod for ShoC, doesn't need translating, no new levels, looks ok and seemed pretty stable http://ap-pro.ru/load/teni_chernobylja/mody/winter_zone_the_end/8-1-0-1835
We have no snow here in Dan's Field. Anybody got the links to all those saucy winter mods?
Anybody please? I need christmas. [editline]24th December 2013[/editline] Wow terrible timing I have.
LA Christmas update:
I can understand why they keep posting so many updates but I don't exactly fancy it when they keep posting pictures of new, unseen locations. Gives too much of the mystery and exploration away when you go out into the levels and go "oh yeah I remember this from the L.A news update". Looks pretty good though.
i don't feel that way, they aren't revealing anything particularly, and one area looks much like another a lot of the time
So when you're at the end of CoP, and you choose not to go with the helicopters, how the heck do you get out of Pripyat?
Anybody please? I need christmas
WoDU.
So when you're at the end of CoP, and you choose not to go with the helicopters, how the heck do you get out of Pripyat?
I think you talk to the guide in Pripyat and you can ask him to lead you out.
