That pistol your given at the start of the game really sucks, right?
Yeah. You need to kind of spam it and aim at the head / neck area with it. In close situations you should probably take out the knife and rush the enemy since the mouse 2 attack is usually an instant kill or doesn't take more than two stabs to kill most NPCs in the game.
Seems like clear sky is back on steam then.

Are there any unofficial addons to Misery 2.0? Like weapons, more enemies, etc
In misery I am just going to hunt and do missions and collect loot and artifacts until I can afford an environmental suit that can protect against controller psi fields. Then I just need to hide behind stuff and shoot it with an RPG.

Can't the knife kill the wall in the Mil Warehouses in ShoC?
I'm pretty sure it can...
Bad advice hunting Chimera's with RPGS, i had to shoot 2-3 rockets at it and empty a gauss magazine D:
(the splash damage is most likely just terrible in misery)
Chimera's do that thing in CS and ShoC where they fly backwards toward you turning in the air and strinking you down in 1 hit from a mile away.

Yes, I actually tested this on my last vanilla run (1.005).
The knife can also destroy BTR-80s (and possibly helicopters as well ?) because they lack immunity to wound_2 which is the damage type that the knife inflicts because GSC didn't think that players would go and try to stab an armoured personnel carrier to death since the player only encounters BTRs and Helicopters in the NPP level after the changes to the game (levels ans sequences being cut) so the oversight was left in.
I haven't looked into the files of the actual vanilla game so I can't really say for certain whether you can actually knife a helicopter to death in vanilla but their A.I sometimes glitches the fuck out at the Stancia_1 level and they hover really close to the ground so that's most likely the player's only chance of getting to test it out in action.

it's an anomaly
Remember, magnets are fucking magic
Playing Call of Pripyat on my new card at max, getting that buttery performance.
The better looks is one thing, but the best part is that most of my games not dont crash after 5 minutes to half an hour of running.
The vanilla game? I don't know how anyone can play vanilla Call of Pripyat. In-fact I still never finished the game yet because every time I do I find something I want to change. What's funny is I have 1767 hours according to steam. ;) 1700+ hours of modding the damn game, that's nuts (well, testing actually)
Was pretty easy on release :v:

Vanilla is not as bad as you think of it.
Did you ever tried unpatched Clear Sky?
fuck me SoC was so fun from beginning to end. Why is CoP so boring at the start?
One thing I don't understand is that Freedom send death squads after you armed with revolver-grenade launchers (yep) if you give Duty a weapon dealers PDA. Like I'd imagine worse prices, but trying to kill you?
Like I'd imagine worse prices, but trying to kill you?
This is in response to valid criticisms that there weren't enough ways to piss off factions in vanilla / most mods and it was really jarring when the only way to make Freedom / Duty hostile-on-sight toward you was to edit the game_relations.ltx and that would mean that you couldn't anymore interact with unique NPCs from that faction.
Why is CoP so boring at the start?
The SoC / CoP schism is pretty easily explained by their main difference ; SoC is much more directed and you're constantly given an objective what to do where to go etc. whileas CoP basically plops you into the game world and lets you figure out the way toward your goals. The former appeals more to people who like 'traditional' FPS games that are more directed and the latter appeals more to people that kind of want a more exploratory approach instead of being hurried from place to place. In my opinion I prefer the latter type of game at least when S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is concerned but in my opinion it would've been ideal if they could've worked in more FPS-shooter type gauntlet sections between the main levels so that all three levels are interconnected via these sections after you've first discovered them like you can't just walk from Zaton to Pripyat until you've been to Pripyat and unlocked the transitional level from there to Zaton.

I need a good bullet hose in Misery, what do I get?

Get the AN-94 and use it in 2-shot burst mode.

Why would you want a bullet hose in Misery?

Yeah, I've completed SoC and CS vanilla when they were released. However, CoP I couldn't even make it out of Zaton before I had to mod it. I really disliked a lot of strange things with AI in CoP. Now, I find it unplayable completely when it's unmodded just for the fact enemies don't even recognize you 30m away or bug out in a bush.
This is COP Stalker AI in a nutshell:

Why not?

Could you explain this in more technical terms ?

Damn, I didn't think that they were serious when they said they'll record my waking up noises.
too bad i just hear the Tank :v:
they should use the STALKERSOUP noises for fleshes though, those are genuinely fucking terrifying.

Pretty sure they use the Charger noises, which I find rather unsettling.
