all are fantastic how are those stalker novels, i still have yet to read them

southern comfort and northern passage are excellent, but they're the only good English Stalker books afaik

Been playing vanilla SOC lately, for some reason quick loading just makes my game crash. I've tried every fix I could find, none of them worked, so now I just have to re-install, bummer because I was like 8 hours into the game.

Try posting the error logs here first Also, have you installed ZRP / Patched the game? Helps a good lot + that it's recommended to create hard saves as well, for each level. This can be easily done in the console with the 'save' command.
