I just did something very stupid :v: I made whole cordon military [editline]9th January 2014[/editline] Also, who would be willing to help me out with some artefact desc? I've got 42 new ones and I'm stuck at creating a desc. for them, as I want the descr. to fit into the history of the zone (talking SHOC timeline here) I'd be willing to give you video's of all 42 unique effects as names. I've already got a few, so you can see what I mean with 'fitting' Cheers
I am not so perfectly in-touch with non-erotic STALKER writing, but I can certainly give it my best. Maybe for an example I can try and rewrite the description for the Monolith Stone in my own wording.
Monolith Stone A rare artefact found by one of the very first stalkers amongst the zone. Few have lived the day they could collect this artefact of a dead monoliths body. Some stalkers say it bears a mysterious aura around it that seems to amplify the signals they receive from the monolith, although this was never proven. It gives the bearer great psychedelic negatives but due to the nature of the artefacts, also grants slight bullet and explosive resistance. It's not yet been established in which anomaly this artefact occurs, but some say it can be found mostly in pripyat and the surroundings
"A rare artifact discovered by the first stalkers. It is said that this mysterious object aids in receiving messages of the Monolith, however the basis of these claims lies in hearsay and local folklore. While it does compromise the mental wellbeing of the user (especially when psy waves are present) the artifact seems to guard against projectiles and explosives. No scientist or stalker has found out which anomaly spawns these peculiar rocks. However, the only ones found to this day originate from the general area in and around Pripyat."
Awesome! You're also in the BETA so that's even better :) Ill personally send you a PM after uploading the mod for the testers with some directions and what I had in mind. Feel free to change that though. As you may have read, I'm no writer by any means :v: [editline]10th January 2014[/editline] Also, I joined the anime avatar club, heh
Also, I joined the anime avatar club, heh
better stay away from fast threads then :v: anyway if i understood correctly this is part of PPx, Particle Paradise version whatever which is for ShoC, right? hope it's compatible with 1.0006
;43480111']better stay away from fast threads then :v:
It's too late [editline]10th January 2014[/editline]
;43480111']anyway if i understood correctly this is part of PPx, Particle Paradise version whatever which is for ShoC, right? hope it's compatible with 1.0006
It is. v1.0006 is the base of all my mods. I won't downgrade anymore :v:
Discovered a few more minor issues. [t]http://i.imgur.com/dx4sbTo.jpg[/t] This has happened in other mods too, so it's not exclusive to MISERY and I have no idea if it can be fixed: with high enough FoV the model of the weapon can sometimes clip into the player's "camera", I'm not sure what to call it. [t]http://i.imgur.com/Pj00m95.jpg[/t] Freedomers seem to have a blank PDA message icon sometimes. Not all of the time, but still. I figured the toolkit locations had been changed again so I was surprised when I found the fine toolkit by accident and realized they were still there. Welp, time to upgrade. I do enjoy how the orange garbage suit is actually a viable thing to wear now...that is, if you're going anomaly skulking. I gained over a dozen artifacts as I had ignored them due to shit protection earlier. Besides I'm a decent enough shot that I don't get hit too often anyway. I finally got to kill the Poltergeist in Iron Forest (which, by the way, is a god damn death trap) because its psi emissions didn't instantly slaughter me. The ghillie suit's cute, but there's no god damn way you can make me wear that anymore; the protection is just too low. Overall it feels like there's no ultimate suit anymore; each seem to have their place. Well, that's if we're talking about mid-high tier suits, the low tier suits are all terrible. Nothing bad in that though. And finally let's talk about radiation. I was paranoid as fuck about working with artifacts because it exposes you to radiation every single time. First you need to pick it up. Instantly irradiated. Then you use the tools to put it into a LLD or an AAC. If you're taking an artifact out of one of those, it gets placed in your inventory. Bam, instantly irradiated. I try to be as quick as possible to work with them because I don't want any rads at all. However, after I looked at the radiation icon in the inventory I realized that within 5 seconds barely any artifact can emit enough millisieverts to cause damage and what little they do generate dissipates within a couple of minutes. Regardless, it's a bit of a "who has the quickest fingers" game to me right now and it would be cool if the artifact handling tool would "store" the artifact temporarily. From there you could put it into any of the containers or your inventory. That way you could avoid rads altogether. I mean, isn't the whole point of the tool to avoid getting radiated and affected by the artifacts in any way?
Playing Misery 2.1, encountered an issue. I get stuck under the rock that contains a stash by the petrol station in Zaton.

Apparently, I have to traverse the railroad embankment. How do I do that if there's electricity.
Apparently, I have to traverse the railroad embankment.
Or just take the 100% safe way, through those tunnels on the west that aren't full of electricity or anything.
or just harden the fuck up and kill all the soldiers
That one is awesome but I'm looking for that one that has a stalker ingame that's dancing around or something and flashing a bunch of different colors.
This one..?
huh, never heard about that one, whats good about that mod? like feature wise
It contains a little bit of fucking EVERYTHING. It's like the STALKERSOUP(yeah, right. Closest comparison i guess) of Call of Pripyat. If you get it, don't forget the translation, and if you don't want to fuck around with ending up in the Cordon at start with broken, buggy quests, get the Zaton Start fix. Expect a handful of minor bugs, really shitty music blaring from the radio at Skadovsk and regularly making hundreds of thousands of rubles, and spending it on candy bars and exoskeletons. Also the current translation for SGM 2.2 is pretty shit, so you have to be good at interpreting broken english.
Does anybody have a good SVD skin for CoP? I just realized it's like, the one gun without a custom skin and I didn't see any good ones on gamebanana. Preferably one with a green stock like the original texture maybe?

It's the broken quest descriptions that always made me confused and not even try doing them. If I knew what the fuck was going on, it'd probably be the best mod for Call of Pripyat personally speaking, no joke. But he has a lot on his plate already so I guess you'll make do with the machine translation.
Since my laptop broke and I'm back to my rather shit PC I decided to look through some of the pictures I've saved and I find this little gem that the someone had made. Forgot who made it though.
What'd the last part say? :v:
"Blowout imminent, find cover"
As someone who's tired of playing the main story over and over, despite any modding; I decided to finally hop back in after a year-long hiatus and try out some stuff. It eventually boiled down to ZoA and RMA. I figured I'll set them both up; play each for about an hour or two, and decide which to continue. Now, don't get me wrong, ZoA is fucking gorgeous - it really is. But I'm here for a different experience other than dolling up the main game. So after gritting about in ZoA's absurd difficult and eye-bleeding DoF in Iron Sights; I swapped over to RMA. If it wasn't for the intro quest being different - I almost didn't notice anything new. Some areas on the map I haven't gotten to, sure, but I've seen the ported Dead City and the like a thousand times over. Let me pause for a minute and say: After playing a metric butt load of try-hard "realism" and "immersion" mods over the years, it's insanely fun to go back to vanilla-esq STALKER. Flying around at Sonic-tier speeds while inhaling medkits mid-fight at a rate to make Kirby jealous; it never gets old. After baby bandit fight in the garage, I started to head towards the railway. When, unlike the vanilla game, a loner comes hauling ass out of the warehouse just before. And not only he is trailblazing, he's playing the screaming audio from a Youtube clip of someone jumping off a building on a bungee cord. I was in such a shock that I didn't move; I just watched him. He kept bellowing and sprinting, right up over a hill and into an anomaly - which instantly killed him. I later discovered a singular zombie in the warehouse he ran out of. I know which mod I'm sticking with now. :v:
Could one of you guys that are a novice in stalker modding please do me a massive favor and get this mod to work with the latest ZRP.
This one..?
YES. I LOVE YOU.
Hello fellow Stalkers, I'm a new user here just registered few minutes ago. I've been reading through this and the couple of old Stalker topics for the past week and oh boy it was fun. The lulzy pics and vids were just pure gold. Reading all those 500+ pages sure did take some time : D I have played Stalker games for couple of years now. ShoC only once, Clear Sky twice and Call of Pripyat many, many times. Call of Pripyat is my favorite since it has the best free roaming out of the three. I started with vanilla of course and then installed all the graphic things (Absolute nature, Atmosfear etc.) along with SMRTER which looked the best at the time. Got back into the game few months ago and noticed that the SGM had been fully translated. So I started off with the SGM 2.0 with Geonezis addon. I was amazed by all the new cool stuff like sleeping bag, repair kits and the best part OWN personal stashes. I loved the mod till my save file got corrupted and I didn't feel like loading an old one. Now I'm happily playing the SGM 2.2 with lots of "back up" saves just in case. SGM 2.2 has been so far the best mod I've tried, well with mines turned off and ignoring the horrendous beginning. Anyway what I miss from the Geonezis are the artifacts. That addon had a good sum of cool looking shiny artifacts that I would just love to collect. I'm not much of a fan of their stats, but I like to fill my personal train cart with all sorts of loot and artifacts are my favorites. Does anyone know if there is a good artifact mod that I could stick on top of SGM 2.2? Russians probably have all sorts of wizardous mods >_> I think that I will start replaying and modding the ShoC & Clear Sky too. Well, at least when LA gets released :v: Anyway thanks a lot for the entertainment guys. Will continue lurking here~ [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/8512731/Stalker/Xerg.png[/t]
;43480383']This has happened in other mods too, so it's not exclusive to MISERY
That's an issue all the way to vanilla SoC, CS and CoP because I'm running Clear Sky with no mods and CoP with only MSO but it does that on FOVs higher than 75 and what's really annoying is how the AN-94 with the scope attached always has the scope clip through the camera if I'm running a FoV any higher than the default (and horrible) 55 FOV. So basically the only way to "fix" it would be to completely remake the arm animations and then lock players into one preset FoV where the clipping issue doesn't come up.
What I don't like about Misery is that I'm incapable of eating on the move. Even if I'm eating a fucking chocolate bar, I must stop, plant myself firmly onto the ground and eat it. I haven't met a single person ever who can't eat a chocolate bar while moving. I can understand it if its for 'larger' meals like canned food, but for shit like chocolate bars and other small stuff, it doesn't make any sense

The problem with that is that it's rather tedious to wait through this annoying animation so you can move on. It would be cool if there were certain areas (Skadovsk/Yanov Station) where it didn't trigger that animation because you were in a safe area.

That thing's fucking glorious.
Do it with stuff like canned food or whatever, you shouldn't have to stop to eat a chocolate bar or something like that In return, nerf chocolate bars somehow
Nerf orange garbage suit Nerf moist nugget Buff TRG Fix RK sights You have modellers, right? Couldn't you use some magicks to fix it? Of course it's not the top priority but it'd make my heart fuzzy and warm if I could use the RK without that god-awful PSO-1. Thing is supposed to have a Trijicon ACOG anyway.
