The closed rear sight of the RK is kind of bad for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. even in the one mod that gets it right (L.U.R.K.) because it fucks with your peripheral vision so bad in the game.

You have modellers, right? Couldn't you use some magicks to fix it? Of course it's not the top priority but it'd make my heart fuzzy and warm if I could use the RK without that god-awful PSO-1.
Thing is supposed to have a Trijicon ACOG anyway.
Also have a non sniper version of M16A1, if I remember correctly there is an M16A1 and it has a fixed scope on it. I want more old Cold War guns making their way into the factions.
The OP is a bit outdated though, it needs this: https://mega.co.nz/#F!zEtSxC4J!eRsovn-n098UpRtLDmr5_w!yQswUJjI
Oh shit, I need these just in time. Thanks!
Do it with stuff like canned food or whatever, you shouldn't have to stop to eat a chocolate bar or something like that
In return, nerf chocolate bars somehow
I'm sorry but we wont. We have our motivations for this.

The thing is, we want to spend more time on fixing the core mod than the visual features :v: I think you'll understand
What are the motivations loner?

I'm sure Troj would be better at explaining this, but misery has some key elements in mind. With the Xray, we're forced to 'teach' the player not to do certain things in / out of safe zones and or combat. Eating a chocolate bar in combat gets you killed, because you wont be wielding that ak with a chocolate bar in your left hand.
Forced realism, altho slightly flawed and not so well executed. I'm sorry, but you'll have to cope with it or find a way to disable the F2B animation :v:

Are you sure about that?

real rk sights kinda suck, and they don't work in games either due to restricted peripheral vision and low field of view
they're only really OK for static shooting and even then target acquisition is slow

like hell
maybe if you're using long range i get what you mean but it's not as terrible as the CoP model
however i do admit people fancy attaching an ACOG for quicker target acquisition, i've tried both ironsights and with an optical sight and the latter is faster.

Funny thing is, I've still managed to pull off munching a can of tuna in the middle of a firefight because spamming liters of morphine into my system made me hungry as hell and lowered my stamina. Against burers that's not something I really want. All it takes is medium range engagement and a wall for cover. While the NPCs seem eager to turn the game into Grenade Sky all over again, they're not blatantly zealous with it.
Oh and disabling infinite ammo doesn't seem to do anything. Any idea what that's about? Stalkers still seem to empty like 20 magazines in a long firefight.
Damn people can't take a joke.
I can, but MISERY has always been a delicate point on these forums.
;43487248']it's not as terrible as the CoP model
The explanation I read for the fucked up sights of the RK-95 model in Swartz (most likely ones used by other mods are the same model dunno) is that the ironsights got fucked up when the model was being compiled but not sure if that's the case with it or not.
Anyhow, it'd be probably for the best if any mod using it later on would just slap a rail on top and have it use a permanently attached ACOG or something, I absolutely hate it when the ironsights are are completely unusable. Or alternatively if the RK-95 has retained the flip-up open "night sights" from RK-62, rather use those instead.
real rk sights kinda suck, and they don't work in games either due to restricted peripheral vision and low field of view
They're not that bad irl because your eye is so much closer to the sight so while peripheral vision is restricted, it's nowhere nearly as harrowing than in LURK or even ARMA 2 FDF mod. The FDF mod for Operation Flashpoint had a good in-game version of the sight picture but in exchange it's just a black cardboard cutout sight instead of a "real", modelled sight.
I can, but MISERY has always been a delicate point on these forums.
Well I wasn't trying to insult your mod or anything, I was just making a joke.
Sorry
Could one of you guys that are a novice in stalker modding please do me a massive favor and get this mod to work with the latest ZRP.
http://www.mediafire.com/download/vwhby4ejmpttxp2/NPC%20Armors%20%2B%20ZRP%20107R4.7z
Install ZRP, then the armor mod, then the merge patch.
Let me know if the inventory icons don't line up. I didn't test them.
You'll have to do one thing manually. Add the line
#include "misc\lexx_antigas_mod.ltx"
to your system.ltx file along with all of the other #include statements.
I wish for an L85 without a SUSAT, and having it use the original 'carryhandle' sights.
Also if you crack a susat apparently you are supposed to put it in a box because it leaks radiation or some shit because of the tritium inside. and it really peeves me the way the bolt is mirrored incorrectly.
its my baby.
Well I wasn't trying to insult your mod or anything, I was just making a joke.

It's not the fact that I won't take insults or something (although that's pretty childish for one to do)
It's more about keeping a clear image of what MISERY wants on these forums. They've mostly been in the dark on what the team wants, hence why I'm here. I'm the voice of the team. I want to portray the ideas of the team well enough for everyone here to understand our vision, you know?
A SUSAT scope leaks radiation?
Now that's a rad stalker scope.

Prolly one of my better skins in stalker, completely redid it, only to find the (once again) lazy devs that stretch textures on places outside of the vision of the player :v: (I know, decent models for a 2007 game but still)

It has a tiny radiation symbol next to it's assigned number. They also seemed pretty serious about putting it as far away from you as possible,
I think its beta radiation and not gamma so it's only really dangerous if it contaminates food or water. It will make you ill, but not kill you, unless you rub it in your eyes or something.

The first one I like (Though the flag is out of place).
The second? Graphically competent, but the camo looks bad, especially on the handguard.
I could've sworn I've seen L-85s with carrying handles in some mod. I can't tell if it was the Soup or SGM.

Yeah, the UV layout in these weapons make for horrible editing of the textures. Especially working with camo patterns :v:

Also, I modified the flag after wards. Grayscaled and made it less pronounced in the bump map. I think it's a neat little touch seeing a merc carry this with that skin

oh my god hnnnnnnnng it's even got the thing over the bolt which does something important if I remember rightly.
winner winner chicken dinner.

They're still pretty bad for quick target acquisition in real life but the videogame versions are absolutely terrible. Games can't really simulate aiming with both eyes open and then restricted view around the important bits of the sights make them very hard to use.

I dunno, a flaw that's not purely stat related is a pretty neat thing if you ask me. Could make it more accurate as a trade-off.
God damn it, I downloaded the full joint pak mod but part 4 was corrupted ;_;
