I think I'll just start over. My armor is nearly broken because of that damn helicopter, I don't have enough anti-radiation stuff neither as medkit and I can't stop dying so easily.
That's fine, you only die when you give up because of player character's magical abilities to reverse events and in-game time.
the seva suit protects against most radiation doesnt it
the seva suit protects against most radiation doesnt it
A good amount of rads yeah, but if you want ultimate rad protection get the green garbage suit.
don't talk shit 'bout mah ssp-99m bitch
Radiation, you say? Pffff... Monolith suit and a few bottles of vodka is all you need.

really enjoying my playthru of Autumn Aurora 2 btw has this happen to anyone [sp]thought it was a container[/sp]
Are you playing through a sepia filter?
it's nightvision
Are you playing through a sepia filter?
I thought that was Misery filter.
What settings on Absolute Nature do you guys think provides the best experience? (ie green, autumn, dry etc.)
that's a completely subjective choice, totally up to your preference, I like spring
I like the greener ones overall but I had trouble myself when deciding originally.
So what exactly does AA2 change besides visuals and the UI?
From the ModDB page: Graphic/sound improvements: New tree models / textures (Absolute Nature). Each level was edited to add more and new foliage. New weather system (special edition of AtmosFear for Autumn Aurora 2). Lots of new sounds of environment, weapons, items as well as level-specific sounds and actor voice. Environment sounds are dependent on weather type and time of day. Moreover, each weather type boasts totally different and unique sounds. Lots of new edited textures. New music. Gameplay: Some new weapons (with unique NPC's and as rewards for quests) and items (not many, maybe 10). Artifacts detectable only by means of detectors (Echo, Bear and Veles. Each detector has distinct characteristics). Read more about it here: Moddb.com Two modes of repair (traders as well as outfit and weapon repair kits). Sleeping possible in designated areas (like in CoP). New UI/HUD (CoP-based). Hand texture adjusts to the suit you're wearing (like in CoP). HUD and breating sounds are mask-dependent. Random stashes. New screen effects when irradiated, on low health and out of breath (low stamina). Applying medkits, eating or using repair kits takes time. New recoil effects. New nightvision devices. New postprocess effects for anomalies, radiation etc. Some artifact models are CoP-based, and some are new. Stalkers will carry Russian weapons for the most part. U.S. weapons like LR300 or M16 have been assigned to one faction only and they will be almost a rarity. If you happen to own LR300 or M16, you will have a serious advantage over your adversaries. This applies to exoskeletons or SEVA suits as well - they are finally very exotic and expensive items, but will definetely be worth their price. The game itself will be more difficult, but well-balanced to avoid being unfair. Some bugfixes like empty stashes and non-disappearing mission markers. I believe a few of those things, like arm textures matching your suit, are new to SoC mods.
Some nice stuff in there (I love the armor textures matching), though can't say I'm a fan of screen based effects. That alone almost made me want to remove LURK completely from my install.
It's been linked before. Go a few pages back :v: [editline]13th January 2014[/editline] Seeing as typing 'please' is too much here's the link, lol http://www.moddb.com/mods/cop-original-weapons-renewal
i love your avatar, and it goes great with literally any song I listen to.
Are you playing through a sepia filter?
yeah nah its just the nightvison on my suit i got from duty
is it just me, or all weapons in SGM are shitty when stock, like accuracy is shit, ridiculious recoil
Thinking about it, CoP feels smaller partially due to the lack of connecting maps like SoC and CS. Fuck Pilot and making me shell out 1000 RU every time, I want a mod that adds new levels that serve as "routes" to yanov from zaton that are dangerous and are a semi long trek (something like going through red forest to the scorcher was). They could be fairly linear "roads" with some places to explore on the side, but there also could be multiple "loading zones" that you can take to get from one main area to another, with different dangers. (That was something I liked about going to pripyat, the underground was kind of like one of SoC's connecting maps in terms of feeling like a journey) Is there any mod that does anything like this? (I doubt there would be)
Is there any mod that does anything like this? (I doubt there would be)
Not quite yet.
I believe a few of those things, like arm textures matching your suit, are new to SoC mods.
Not really :v: it just went unnoticed. This idea was introduced by a GSC-game.com user 'Vintar', now part of the LA team. He's a mastermind in scripting. Almost on the level of Barin (also in the LA dev. team now)
i love your avatar, and it goes great with literally any song I listen to.
Thanks, but it doesn't work with Firelake so much hahah
Not quite yet.
This intrigues me ...
Man, Pripyat definitely has the best atmosphere of the three areas, but I just basically explored it, and the more I explored the more I've realized how disappointing it was. It's very empty - but not the good kind of "SoC deadness" empty (which was there somewhat in the other areas), but rather the "There's nothing here" kind of empty. I mean [sp]you can't even go to the god damn ferris wheel?[/sp] Don't get me wrong, there's some cool stuff, like [sp]the buildings full of anomalies, the underground tunnels that you can enter from multiple buildings and also go out onto the street with[/sp], but most everything feels like such a short walk it barely feels like a city compared to SoC's. I was expecting an extremely dangerous place ripe with artifacts and dangerous anomalies that cut through buildings (like the massive scar anomaly in zaton), infested with zombies, mutants, and monolith, and with tons of equipment to scavenge. In reality it was [sp] a bunch of enterable buildings with nothing in them save like 3, a couple of groups of zombies, one chimera and one bloodsucker, and fenced off areas that look like you should be able to explore them, but they got cut or something[/sp] Although [sp]once you initiate the evacuation part it ramps up, walking through it to the prometheus theater feels like it's just down the block even with all the enemies.[/sp]
Yes, Pripyat in CoP is and still was the biggest disappointment in the series. I feel the same way about it though. I recommend you install MSO or Alun's Pripyat Reborn to breathe new life into the zone again. Or just install SGM for the hell of it :v: I personally needed SGM to breathe new life into CoP, otherwise I would've stayed with SHoC. [editline]14th January 2014[/editline]
Not quite yet.
Ah! Call of Chernobyl [editline]14th January 2014[/editline]
;43527046']PSZ-9MD 4 lyf
IMHO a Monolithian SKAT9 would be badass. I might even make one some day
Is there any reason to be a Loner in TFW? As far as I know the factions don't seem to war unless you join one, and even then other factions seem scripted to die the same always once you expand yours out.
That's not the true loners if you're talking about Defiance. Loners as a faction are hardest to enter, really. They're not involved in the faction warfare either.
I'm not talking about Defiance. I'm talking more about just if it's even possible for a faction to kill another without any involvement what so ever. Also it's not hard to be a loner, just do a few jobs and you're in.
I've been out of the STALKER loop a while. How's Lost Alpha looking? Wasn't it supposed to release around this time? EDIT: Well shit 2100th post. Yay me.

In one of my games Defiance killed all of Clear Sky sadly.
It's actually impossible to truly kill Clear Sky since no one can reach their base. They'll always have some power left.
