Funny thing, I never actually got to try Misery 2 since every time I tried to start a new game with it, it would just crash, might try again though.

What would people recommend as the SOC alternative? I currently have OGSE installed, gonna try it later.

[QUOTE=Ryo Ohki;43556723]Any kind of generic overhaul which improves the game without swaying too much from the original experience[/QUOTE] MSO+AtmosFear 3 is what I'm running and save for a few hiccups like the neutral_nauchnyi crash (which is fixable, thankfully) it's really good for the purpose you're looking for in my opinion. It's basically a mod that will vastly improve the A-Life and tweak the economy a tiny bit but otherwise it's a really sound 'small' overhaul that changes just enough but not too much. The whole "Reborn" thing that's been touted as the successor to M.S.O. is apparently a step up A.I wise but I don't think it has the new spawns of M.S.O.

There are a lot of other rebalance mods for SOC but AMK is a good place to start. I'm not experienced with modding SOC, so how do I properly un-install say OGSE so I don't break anything when I want to try a new mod?

Just delete the gamedata folder

You need to apply every patch before playing the mod. I'm not having any of the issues you're having at all.

Wrong version. Do you have the steam version? IIRC the current OGSE is 1.0005. If it uses 1.0005 DLL's you wont be able to use it with 1.0006. And vice-versa with 1.0006/5 vs 1.0005/4 etc.

Nah, steam is 1.0006 as of last year. I think you will need to wait for the next OGSE or find a way to downgrade steam :v:

Tried the previous patch and it worked so no big deal
