Damn, this thread got blown up. Gotta give this a try
How do you guys record stalker? I have OBS but it only captures sound. Tried Game capture, monitor capture but it only outputs black screen with background sounds.
Win 8.1 laptop with integrated intel and geforce graphics cards if it helps.

idk man OBS works well for me
I think there's a certain charm to untranslated mods. You don't understand anything at all but discover how to survive anyways. For example: you know this rifle by heart is an AK74 and chambers only a certain cartridge but clearly the text on this bottle of liquid you found on the dead bandit could be anything from pristine water to hydrofluoric acid.
trying to do agroprom underground in AA2 but I got killed by a barrel that a bandit shot gg
barrel wasnt even explosive

Screw me, how do you get OLR 2.0 to work? I tried out that 1.0006 repack of the Russian version of SoC that worked fine with the previous version of the mod, but now I get a localisation.ltx error whenever I try to start it up after removing gamedata.dbd0 - gamedata.dbd9 as per the guide.

is there a guide to setup?
is there a guide to setup?
They have a simple guide on the mod's page. Really rough translation of it:
Installation
1) Make sure that you have a Russian version of the game before installing the mod.
2) Before installing make sure you have approximately 9 GB of free space.
3) The mod is now standalone. It is impossible to install it on top of OLR 1.0 - 1.1
4) It is not recommended to install the mod in Program Files or Program Files(x86) on VISTA/WIN7/WIN8 and so on.
5) The mod can be installed on your preferred Russian version of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Shadow of Chernobyl from 1.0000 - 1.0006
Installation order
1) Create a STALKER-OLR (e.g., C:\STALKER-OLR or D:\GAMES\STALKER-OLR) folder on your preferred drive (but not in Program Files or Program Files(x86))
Note: You can install the mod in Program Files if you're using Windows XP, then go straight to step 3.
2) From the previously installed game's folder copy over the following files from it to C:\STALKER or D:\GAMES\STALKER.
gamedata.db0
gamedata.db1
gamedata.db2
gamedata.db3
gamedata.db4
gamedata.db5
gamedata.db6
gamedata.db7
gamedata.db8
gamedata.db9
3) Extract the mod in the C:\STALKER-OLR or D:\GAMES\STALKER-OLR folder (while overwriting the existing files!!!).
4) It is RECOMMENDED to run configurator.cmd once (or selecting the Configurator option from OLR_Launcher) and go through all the menus.
Type in the number that corresponds to your preferred or recommended option and press Enter.
Running the game
Launch the game using ONLY the stalker_OLR.cmd file or OLR_Launcher.
oh shit I need a russian version of stalker? o.0
The thread at GSC-game has a torrent for the russian version of SoC at the second page as Bloodshot12 mentioned.
Are the OLR .db files named correctly? There's nothing to overwrite when I copy them over the SoC .db files. The OLR ones are named '.dbd1,2,3' etc and the vanilla ones are '.db1,2,3' etc.
The thread at GSC-game has a torrent for the russian version of SoC at the second page as Bloodshot12 mentioned.
It's the one I used but it looks like I need to try it again. Apparently someone said to delete all save for the database files found in the SoC install and unpack the mod there. I must have fucked it up somewhere there so it looks like I need to retry it again.
why the christ are russian mods always so stupidly hard to get to work?
Yup, you need to install a Russian version of SoC (repack works just fine), then delete everything save for gamedata.db0 - gamedata.db9 and put all of OLR 2.0's files there.
So, how's misery 2.1 right now? Are there still major performance issues?
None that you can't fix by changing the AI distance.
Is it just me or is the recoil ridiculous on some guns in L.U.R.K? Like the makarov jumps like a fucking cricket every time I fire.
I'm looking for a weapons mod for CoP but can't decide. Which is better, OWR or Arsenal Overhaul?
Like the makarov jumps like a fucking cricket every time I fire.
Just wait until you get the SVD.
[editline]herp[/editline]
And yes, the recoil in L.U.R.K. is a bit exaggerated. Some LURK dev team guys have commented that it's a bug in a way but I've also read that it acts as a balancing element because the gunplay in LURK is really deadly and many weapons kill in just one or two hits.
Anyhow, as stated, some weapons kick like mule (noticeably the Kalashnikovs) and as mentioned before, the SVD has a really curious "glitch" into it's recoil in that you shoot once with it and the player character may end up looking up into the sky and the view can get stuck there for some time.
I crashed on startup with Autumn Aurora 2 and it didn't even give me a crashlog, just said XR_3DA stopped working.
Now this is strange, I had a pure installation, put on the 4GB patch, then used the setup with English files, 83 FOV and 200m grass distance then applied common gamedata patch and after that Full Dynamic Lighting gamedata from the .2 patch.
