Are there any downside for murdering Stalkers/Duty/Freedom random groups in the first zone of Call of Pripyat? Aka, am I fucked when I'll actually have to interact with the factions later on?
not really
Still, Monolith's no longer hiring.

I don't know if you ever technically -have- to interact with factions later on, I'm 95% sure you'll be fine if you'vegotten through gunning your way so far.
Edit- too alcoholfor english, please excuse.
Where can I find a full jerrycan in Misery 2.1? Thinking about taking a hunting / cooking approach to making some dosh, but it's weird
A jerrycan with 1 liter left is 450RU, but a jerrycan with 2 liters is ~700RU, so I'd be losing money if I bought the jerrycan with only one liter left. I wish this game had a built-in calculator :v:
[editline]26th January 2014[/editline]
Someone check my math
jerrycan (1L): 449RU
jerrycan (2L): 693RU
empty can sold back for 187RU
Flesh meat buys for: 319RU
Flesh meat sells for: 136RU
cooked flesh meat sells for: 522RU
cooked meat, minus fuel cost, plus selling metal can = 260RU per peice of meat
1 buckshot round costs: 31.2RU
Gas stove: 12110RU
47 cooked peices of meat to make up for fuel + stove costs before you make any profit.
that's 1466RU spent on buckshot, if every kill is one hit and all have 1 peice of meat.
That's...interesting, actually. I've never planned that much in going for a trek. As for cooking as a moneymaker, unfortunately mutant chops aren't that valuable. I discovered that the radiation they emit is small enough that you can consume them once in a while without a worry in the world. However, trophies such as bloodsucker tentacles can be quite handsome if acquired in bulk.
Personally I'd recommend getting a god damn SSP-99 and hunting artifacts like no tomorrow.
SSP-99 isn't worth it IMO, it would take ages before I'd start turning any profit on it. It degrades insanely fast by just standing in an anomaly field. Spent about half a minute in the boiler anomaly and it had already degraded two bars, which cost over 7,000RU to repair, and most artifacts sell for under that.
Income I get from dredge station and the claw is pretty decent enough artifact wise, but chemical and thermal anomalies just don't feel rewarding enough.
Weird. You could try getting AACs and stuffing thermal artifacts in them to receive major fallos against heat. Electrical anomalies and Scar seem to also be rather risk-free since they don't really degrade jack shit. The thing is, Scar sometimes produces two Snowflakes, albeit the event is as rare as finding a Bubble in the swamp.
Just put this file in your gamedata\scripts folder.

The numbers at the top of the script can be changed to your liking as often as you want, though it takes a while for them to take effect. And like I said, I'm not 100% sure that it's actually working, but it isn't causing crashes or anything.
Thanks, I will try that when I can get this finally started. :3 I will tell if I notice anything.

I've made a plan for hunting, Beard's selling 8 liter jerrycans more often now, so I'm buying them and cooking flesh meat on a stove with it. If I sell 6 and keep 2, soon I'll be making a good profit (~3000RU per sell) and have loads of food for myself as well.
I guess I'll give the SSP-99 another shot soon and try to avoid thermal anomalies.
Okay, so hunting chimeras with 12 kilograms of explosives didn't work. Didn't even get time to shoot at the detonator before they murdered me :v:
How come there are never any artifacts in dredge station? It's been 3 blowouts and there haven't been any artifact spawns
shit rnjesus is the only explanation i can think of

There should be at least one in the back. That being said, the chance of artifacts to spawn after an emission is pretty slim.

You'd need at least two fireballs in order to have longer than 1 minute of time in a heat anomaly such as the burnt farmstead. Even then, stepping on a burner is guaranteed instadeath. Gonna get 3 fireballs and the CS-13 Armor and see how long you can survive.
Fireballs are rather easily found though. In fact they're easier to find to me than Crystals or Flames or Eyes.

It's possible that you need a better detector.
Somehow I managed to kill 3 (!) Chimeras with a Desert Eagle. Should I feel proud of myself?
Pretty proud

Lucker
The zone has smiled on you today, but tomorrow, it may be different.

You sure? I've had about 4 blowouts now with no new artifacts, and I have a svarog prototype
Hey guys.
Last time I played S.T.A.L.K.E.R. was probably about 6 months ago when MISERY came out
It was so absurd (I wouldn't say the word shit because it wasn't, the quality in itself was good, but the design flaws made it terrible), I decided to take a break from stalker until a few more mods came out.
Now I'm just starting to play AA2 (So far so good, I love the difficulty increase, but it's really easy to stock up on resources). Didn't know it has issues with changing graphics settings. I consider myself really lucky that the default max settings are perfect for me.
I realize that OGSE's newest version is soon to come out? Fucking A.
But what intrigues me the most is MISERY 2.1.
I remember the huge thread one of the developers made on their design decisions and how they may have been flawed. Is MISERY 2.1 accounting for those flaws, essentially making another playable overhaul available for CoP?

You are in the exact same situation as me. To a T

Glad to see that i´m not the only one on that situation.
Is the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. wiki broken or something? I wanted to do a small test to see if I can submit an article because the place feels darn empty by now, and I chose to take some translated info from one Russian wiki and put it in on the other, official one because it didn't have the same info. All what I get is a blank, broken page when submitting it even after trying it out again.
Edit: Screw me, looks like I missed out the small bit on the stickied thread that's on the forums. Apparently the wiki has been broken for almost 2 years now.
Loner1. I do realise that Misery 2.1 is in beta, and I should be expecting some bugs and crashes.
But the amount of crashes leading to a stack trace: I've had is extreme. I can't even tinker with the options without a crash.
Are the performance issues wellknown or am I just unlucky?
Mind you, I've got a high-end PC rig that I've built just a few days ago. So it's not exactly because I'm trying to play it on a toaster :v:
I can't find any night star in Agroprom.
Does anyone have a DL of the CS Bandit song on the radio?

Where mole usually goes, to the trees at the right it's usually over there.
