he's not the Stig.
But he is the Stig's radioactive cousin: S.T.I.G!
Second pictures makes you all look like IRA :v: (Balaclava = scary)
But that is hella cool!
Heh. Blame Siro. It was his idea. :v:
Things were going so well.
Every mod I play seems to fuck itself to little tiny pieces when it comes to that fucking Kruglov motherfucker. I had to quicksave/quickload about 50 times when playing OGSE so he would move through the tunnel; as every time I loaded he moved a step in the right direction, and that was it.
I'm playing AA2 and - knowing how much of a fucker Kruglov is - have made a hard save just before talking to him. However, every time I finish escorting him, and he tells me to come to the bunker for a ~science~ suit, the bunker is locked. I've tried to exit Yantar and any saves I load within within yantar all result in the same crash. I've never had this issue before.
Figures, it happens when I have all this shit to unload that I have been hauling from Dark Valley.
Expression : fatal error
Function : CScriptEngine::lua_error
File : E:\stalker\sources\trunk\xr_3da\xrGame\script_engine.cpp
Line : 73
Description : <no expression>
Arguments : LUA error: ...ow of chernobyl\gamedata\scripts\task_manager.script:473: attempt to index local 'sel_task' (a nil value)
I'm able to load any saves from before Yantar fine; as well as the autosave created on entry to Yantar. As well as the bunker door being locked, I hear no conversations from within the Bunker like there usually is (Kruglov being a whiny little bitch and refusing to go out and be a man on his own.)

Additionally, I do not receive a task entry when i finish escorting Kruglov. I can't recall if you do anyway, but he hands me his flash drive and tells you to come to the bunker. There's an objective marker on the bunker, but when I hover over it, the description is "no hint."
I've just finished with AA2, didn't seem to have a problem with Kruglov. I did have a few quests that couldn't be completed though (protect the barrier being one of them) I had a bit of trouble with Duty turning hostile on me too. Overall though its a good mod.
I've tried installing a few mods for CS next. Clear skies mod didn't work as well as i'd have liked and Warmongers was completely unplayable and broken (Both had clean installs). I know Complete is hated, but I'm giving it a go. It's worth a try at least.

We talking Faction wars for Clear Sky, or Faction Wars for Shadow of Chernobyl?

I lol'd
And their challenge while in Chernobyl could be to drive a course around the border of the exclusion zone - in an old Zaporojez or something - while wearing a gasmask, and carrying a load of canned food in the back. Person with the least irradiation and breakdowns at the end, wins.
Also, tangentially related. For those who've always wanted to get some idea of how Russian wizards put together the An94: http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2012/08/17/the-an-94-assault-rifle/
Still merging Aresenal and SGM -_- Why can't it be over. I want to play!
In my quest for a decent level of AA in STALKER, i have failed. SMAA, FXAA, forced driver AA, ingame AA, and even fucking downsampling did nothing to curb the extreme jagginess of Xray Engine's shitty AA. All downsampling did was kill my framerate. It kinda worked, but the hit to my framerate even with pretty good hardware was really bad, i went from 60FPS to 25 on a jump from 1920x1080 to 2560x1440.
To be honest. Liking Anime is well and fine. But when people take it to the extreme and have fucking "Boyfriends or Girlfriends" or whatever the hell they are called in Anime style drawing thing, along with the weird ass Porn. It just gets stupid.
I put it on par of sadness with the likes of Bronies.
:(
You don't actively tell people how awesome Ponies are or tell them to like the show, so it's okay.

Did you try external FXAA through an injector? SweetFX or ENB? I don't mind the jaggies, as I'd rather have more fps than smooth tree edges - but if forcing it through your driver, or the in-game options arn't effective - maybe an injected variety can produce the results you seek.

Tried that, either had no effect or crashed the game. And yes i did it right.

I don't think he'd actually give enough dosh to save a stalker who obviously hasn't earned a mad stack of artifacts during his raids and doesn't have all the Zone bling visible on him.
In other news, it seems that the Old Story mod for CS is going to be released either this month or on the first of March.
Look what I found:

If you have a newer Nvidia card you could try forcing 2x SGSSAA.

[t]http://media.moddb.com/images/mods/1/19/18111/MISERY_darkmode.jpg[/t]
New optional game mode introduced with upcoming Official MISERY 2.1.
Principles:
1. There is a constant, day-time background radiation affecting the player everywhere on the maps except for places which normally are surge hideouts,
2. Intensity of this radiation is primarily dependent on the amount of sunlight,
3. The more sunlight, the more severe radiation, meaning the sunniest days being the most deadly ones,
4. Radiation is severely decreased in rain or fog and it's dependent on the time of day and ceases completely during nights,
5. The player can shield himself from this radiation with normal means (suits, helmets, drugs) however, attaining a complete protection on a sunny / lightly clouded day is impossible,
6. Major changes to made to the Alife to support the above: regular NPC squads only venture out at nights, and during day remain in secure factional hideouts (locations of some factional bases moved to more secluded places). Well-equipped scientific squads have wider hours of activity,
7. Story-related NPC squads who're bound to stay outside permanently dress in proper protective suits to justify their presence there,
8. Increased mutant spawns and activity to fill the now deserted locations, previously lived in by humans,
9. Starting hour of all PC classes moved to the same hour in which the Black Road usually starts.

Sounds very interesting. Weathers affecting world's properties is what I have been waiting for for ages.
Still can't get over how bad that banner looks.

Heh, to each their own style :v: I did, on request of you guys, fix the grammar and punctuation mistakes in the text. I know it's mind-boggling for some that not everyone has perfect English skillZ, but hey, it's the internet éh.
