Oh god. Just when I was giving up on Clear Sky because my DVD is almost completely broken and doesn't allow me to play anymore because of this stupid CD-protection. Thank you, Monolith. Thank you.
How fast would something like that (ofcourse with more varying idle sounds) get repetitive?
honestly, since you have a shit hot new animator, what would be cool would be Metro style bore animations (though of course they're a lot of work and require detailed weapon models) [editline]6th February 2014[/editline] scratch that, what we actually need is sexy draw animations in the vein of the one for the AKS-74U in AA2 for every side-folder and telescopic stock
How fast would something like that (ofcourse with more varying idle sounds) get repetitive?
As long as it doesn't play every 5 seconds like in Half-Life 1 and has some variation with the animations(dunno if this is possible), I think it would be fine.
As long as it doesn't play every 5 seconds like in Half-Life 1 and has some variation with the animations(dunno if this is possible), I think it would be fine.
Varying animations would be tricky, as you'd need to create variations for each and every gun in the mod. Plus, with the current system, this is impossible. I'm sure if I use Gunslinger as base with the new .dll libraries I can come up with something, but now it's sounds only, sadly :v:
scratch that, what we actually need is sexy draw animations in the vein of the one for the AKS-74U in AA2 for every side-folder and telescopic stock
While it's great the first time, having the draw animation play out every time takes the magic out of it pretty quickly.

"Oh god, If these abominations finds me I'm a dead man. Wait... God god god god, this noise gets even closer ! ... Oh fuck this. ♫♫ ♪ ♪♪♪ ♫ "

Originally, I'd want to have him cough or say 'shit' silently and stuff. I had loads of variations in my mind :)
Yeah the whistle was just a placeholder. Originally, I'd want to have him cough or say 'shit' silently and stuff. I had loads of variations in my mind :)
Note that it would be a hell of a funny easter egg.
Note that it would be a hell of a funny easter egg.
Yeah, I even wanted to do this in misery. Like, you're hiding and suddenly your character farts or something and it would alarm the enemy :D would make for some GREAT gameplay [editline]6th February 2014[/editline] Even in the zone, you cant escape nature lol
Like, you're hiding and suddenly your character farts or something and it would alarm the enemy :D would make for some GREAT gameplay.
Gentlemen. It's Kojima time. And more seriously, I think that hearing a short breath to indicate how tired and weakened the character is would be great.
After bringing the might of Duty down on Freedom at the Army Warehouses (read: a single well placed grenade wiping out everyone that wasn't in a tower with Lukash) I have discovered the might of the AA2 VSS. This thing is a god. It is a god anyway, but holy hell the accuracy and damage surpass everything else. The Duty quartermaster stocked a bolt action rifle that costs almost 40k, and the thing has substantially less damage and slightly less accuracy. The ammunition for it is also rare as fuck and expensive, whereas I can pick up 150 rounds of standard and 60 rounds of AP. My sniper raifu.
Haha, so you have finally found it. Just you wait, there is more gloriousness to come.
You motherfucker. I shelled out 70k for that SEVA, and now I have two (TWO) PSD's from Duty that have better everything aside from Telepathy, which is 10% less than the Seva. It's 2kg heavier, but considering how much lighter this VSS is, I can afford that. I can't believe I'm giving up my SEVA. Also sweet jesus the blast radius on the bulldog is insane.

My loadout includes the M110 standard. That thing is beast like as well.
Yeah the M110 is pretty balling for a sniper. I call it the sass rifle though.
Okay I am beginning to get sick of trying to diagnose bug traps. Why can't the trapper point me directly to the line or file that has the error? Instead of just giving a vauge "some file did something wrong." Like in this one for example:
FATAL ERROR [error]Expression : fatal error [error]Function : CInifile::Load [error]File : D:\prog_repository\sources\trunk\xrCore\Xr_ini.cpp [error]Line : 382 [error]Description : <no expression> [error]Arguments : Duplicate section 'wpn_pp19_01_10_hud' found. stack trace:
It claims there's a duplicate reference to the pp19 hud - but in the pp19's ltx - there ISN'T a duplicate reference. How on earth am I meant to find this duplicate? Is there some sort of way of interpreting the logs that I'm missing?
Frozen Zone update. [t]http://i.minus.com/ibm91LAaUliejo.jpg[/t] Main characters: Dmitriyev, Telnov and Belov.
Well, hot damn. I'll be.
What the fuck happened to Strelok and Degty oh god they look like they used some hardcore drugs
Anybody have a download for the creepy ambient scream that plays in SoC in some wilderness areas?
You're probably looking for Krik sounds, but i've included all sounds that sound like distant screams. Those are the best sounds that really makes the Zone scary. Also Krik literally means Scream/Cry. http://www.mediafire.com/download/g3xggc3t8j4o0bm/Ambiences.rar
Hmm, its not in there. There was this one extremely piercing scream that was high-pitched, sounded like a shrieking cat from hell scared the hell out of me the first time i heard it
So how much better is Misery 2.1 than 2.0?
holy fuck I pitched down the files with _horror in them and they sound like some sort of demonic hellspawn so does anybody have any idea what I'm talking about? I'm looking through the files but I can't find the scream. it's very piercing compared to the rest of the ambient screams.

Does that sound sound like the one at 3:35? To be sure I packed the whole ambient folder for you, they're all from vanilla SoC. If the sound you're looking for is indeed from a mod, then sorry for wasting your time. http://www.mediafire.com/download/iwp1b6247pzdfa5/ambient.rar

EDIT: I still can't find it, but I could've sworn I heard that scream on my vanilla playthrough
