Question: how much does Autumn Aurora affect performance? My laptop's a bit on the low spec side but I'd really love to try it out.
Question: how much does Autumn Aurora affect performance? My laptop's a bit on the low spec side but I'd really love to try it out.
From my experience not so much. It's really well optimized. What's your laptop' specs?
Is it worth watching this Stalker movie? It looks good
Now all we need is to be able to blow up grenades in bandits hands while they throw them
It keeps getting better. It's almost like I wouldn't want them to release it now because I KNOW it'll get better with each and every video. Damn
'explosion of grenades from external influence' sounds like one of those goofy translation errors from a machine translation.
That's a beautiful feature. Hell, you could set up elementary traps with that.
Welp the download didn't stop at 75% this time. Instead it just restarted to zero. :suicide:

Damn
For me its the opposite. Every new video has me wincing at the end of them - with the realization that all this awesomeness will only make it harder to merge Gunslinger with anything else. Don't get me wrong Gunslinger by itself looks like pure Stalker mod gold, but imagine Misouri, or SGM AND Gunslinger. Like gold plated diamonds.
Jesus christ the Iron Forest in Misery is host to a whole mutant army. 3 burers, 3 bloodsuckers and about half a dozen civvie zombies. There was that poltergeist faffing about in the back, uninterested in the fight. I had to spend 12k on getting a bunch of Duty newbie stalkers to take me there so they could act as fodder. Once I took out the distracted burers though, the rest fell fairly soon. Had to shoot the last Duty guy because I accidentally hit one of his at some point in the fight, so once the mutants were dead he started shooting at me :/ Guess it's a Freedom playthrough this time. Hopefully I can find a battle rifle that isn't junk soonish.
It isn't a battle rifle, but the M16A1 has an integral scope and hits surprisingly hard for being 5.56. It is extremely accurate, has decent range, is cheap to maintain, and 5.56 is light compared to other ammos. I've tried to replace it twice now, but the cost effectiveness of 5.56 and the ease of maintaining it has always brought me back to the M16A1.

FAL. Weapon choices tend to be pretty much down to personal taste. But if I had to pick just one weapon under the catagory 'battle rifle' - it'd be a FAL varient any day, in-game or IRL. If the FAL in Missouri dosn't preform up to scratch, just edit that ltx!
Has this been posted yet?
o-o Dat water shading.

Meanwhile an M16A1 is reasonably light, as is the ammunition. But that is me, I do not have the same love for the FAL that most do, I have always preferred variants of the M14 for my 7.62 needs. Also the GP100 revolver will annihilate mutants with incendiary rounds. That thing is a beast.

Really wanting to use a battle rifle simply because i've got a major hardon for them, and I can always use a light suit or spam titanium frames :v: [editline]10th February 2014[/editline] iirc the GP-100 uses the same ammo as the Steppe Eagle, so I might swap them over if the revolver is lighter.
Also the GP100 revolver will annihilate mutants with incendiary rounds. That thing is a beast.
GP100 certainly is the best, it's better than using a shotgun even. I've oneshotted bloodsuckers with one, just one round to the head and it dies, but the hard part is aiming that well. Plz don't nerf it, it's rare as fuck, and being the only revolver makes it's power make sense.

I carry it and a 1911 (the camo variant of the 1911 is also less than a kilogram with the weight reduction) everywhere. Sometimes only it and the 1911.

You just have to know how to go at it. If you'd merge a pretty script-intensive mod like Gunslinger with something as big as MISERY, you'd obviously not put MISERY on top of gunslinger, but the other way around. You'd merge the meshes / textures / sounds first, those are the easiest. Then you'd either replace or merge the weapon files, leaving the stuff like hit-params intact from MISERY to not create imbalance and lastly merge the scripts for the new animation stuff. (Im sure it gets even trickier because of the added dll's but we'll see)

Plz don't nerf it, it's rare as fuck, and being the only revolver makes it's power make sense.

Also, no, we wont nerve the GP100.
Yeah but then you have to lug around 7.62 ammo everywhere. It is heavy and expensive. Meanwhile an M16A1 is reasonably light, as is the ammunition.
Yes. But you should only need one or two hits on a target. The weight and expense is offset by the stopping power. Thats always been the way with small arms. Only thing thats ever really seriously upset the balance is the G11, and that was by completely redesigning magazine and cartridge. Also why hasn't a G11 been modded into Stalker yet? Someone needs to get in on that.
It's not that hard. You just have to know how to go at it. Even then, as you say, merging isn't exactly hard, but it is time consuming, especially if the two mods have a lot of dissimilarities.
Has this been posted yet?
Artistic as fuck
Could anyone who's played People or Stalker Soup tell me how the artifact containers work?

Plus, you'd have to merge the mod into MISERY for 3 different classes. 'Time consuming' is just softly said :v:
Gah I wish I could put the polish on the guns in Misery into SGM. So much stuff to do in SGM, but I just can't wade through it because iron sights aren't even aligned and the balance on weapons is really just crazy. No bizarre deviation from the iron sights with misery. That drives me batshit in SGM.

The custom AKM you find on top of the petrol station in Zaton has messed up ironsights. but that's the only one i've encountered so far.
I don't have anything for balance, though
The custom AKM you find on top of the petrol station in Zaton has messed up ironsights. but that's the only one i've encountered so far.
As of 1.0 that AKM lacked proper animations. It's being worked on.
And I've merged SGM 2.0 Geonezis with Aresenal Overhaul - testing it for crashes right now actually. It dosn't fix any of the existing misalinged sights, but it adds a bunch of new weapons and replaces nearly half of the old ones. I can't wait till misery gets some good weapon animations though. I love the weather, textures, lighting, misc items, combat and mutants in Misery - but I just couldn't stand watching my character jerk a magazine into a gun and drag back a charging handle on the wrong side. Hopefully they'll flip the offending models over, and add some smoother, more realistic animations someday soon. But it isn't as though they don't already have a ton of stuff to do.
