I mean ... 900 RPM with 20 rounds?[/QUOTE] I think, unlike the SR-3, the VSS and VAL were never really intended to be used on full auto. The 30 round magazines work with the VSS and VAL, but the 30 round magazines only exist because of the Vikhr. Having the VAL default to 20 rounds and upgrade to 30 makes a lot of sense in that context. But I also don't really understand the purpose of the VAL compared to the VSS in reality, so who knows?

And its true, I took a couple of shots more than with a 5.56 or 5.45 to kill a bandit, and we´re talking about 7.62x51 ladies and gentlemen But hey, up till Prypiat, all you need is love, I mean, a Colt, because EVERYONE goes down with 3 well placed shots to the chest. Armor? No problem, get some uranium depleted ammo and call it a day. Lots of mutants in Iron Forest? No problem, just get a load of F1 grenades and call it a day. Having problems with the poltergeist? Well, you do have a problem here because until you don´t buy a pot with aluminium foil inside you won´t be getting anywhere

Don't hate me for asking, but how in the hell am i supposed to get more than the one Veles detector from that mission in Zaton? I found another off of a dead Dutyer, but no luck finding a third yet. And no, i'm not gonna murder people for their shit, i let them kill each other first. Also fuck pseudogiants, they're all over Zaton and Jupiter, i was so happy to get Topol and his men out alive after that controller nearly got them, went and did some missions for Trapper, went to dump my loot, and i found their bodies scattered around the science bunker, with a wounded giant stomping around it. Forgot to mention that i'm in Misery 2.1.

It can also make you think about buying that +10 rounds upgrade no one ever gets with most of the weapons. So yes, that is definitely interesting regarding gunplay and ammo control. (And not because the real magazine can not carry more than 20 bullets. Realism for the sake of realism without any gameplay or visual improvement is boring.)

Heresy. Tbh the larger rounds should be a bit more effective against flesh than they are, if just for gameplay reasons; to make it worthwhile to lug around a heavier rifle with heavier ammunition. No gun should be completely outclassed by another that is available at the same point in the game (except for the rusted and worn ones, obv.), else there's no point in adding them in the first place. That having been said, at least according to the game files, the 7.62x51 weapons I checked do a bit more fleshy damage than the 5.56 guns, plus the armour-piercing capability of 7.62 ammo is better.

You can order ammo from him as well so he'll deliver it within a day or 2, for a pretty heft price. Heh, It would be easily doable. Ill look into the idea, for now .. There is also a MP5 variant that uses 10mm [IMG]http://www.imfdb.org/images/thumb/3/33/MP540.jpg/400px-MP540.jpg[/IMG] You don't need to have many guns using 10mm (again, referring to .50 AE with only like one or two guns capable of using it.) Since it's allready going to be one of the more expensive and hard to get calibers. You could do that. Plus giving mercs the MP5 10mm and the Glock? And Nimble selling 10mm ammo at a hefty price would be a good idea. Again, the cost of the ammo could outweight its perfomance balance wise. [B]Edit:[/B] Apparently there is 2 different glocks in 10mm. The Glock 20 and the more compact Glock 29, there is also a Bren Ten and some Italian pistol called Tanfoglio T95 in 10mm apparently. There is even a S&W revolver in 10mm :v: [B]Double Edit:[/B] Okay so apparently I was wrong about SIG having made a 10mm Auto variant of any of their guns. But from what I could quickly gather, it's rather easy to convert a 226 or 228 to firing 10mm because the .357 SIG have roughly the same measurements. Could be a possible conversion upgrade?

[U]Purely player-base wise[/U], Bethesda beats GSC by a long shot, so it's an unfair comparison. Also, I don't think Fallout and STALKER have ANYTHING alike. The one's an RPGFPS, while the other is just an FPS. The one is a post-apocalyptic sci-fi world, where as the other is a (not so much 1:1) recreation of a real world event :v:
