Decided to rush ahead to the same area, see if it gave the same problem; it did. It's in the Jupiter factory grounds, heading towards that chemical anomaly pit with one of Strelok's team stashes. Killed the 2 controllers, poltergeist, probably all the bloodsuckers as well (randomly spammed nade seemed to silence them) and a few of the zombies.
I have no idea what it is but for some reason Pseudogiants seem to :stack trace: CoP a lot. Were any of them around there ?
Anyhow, you could try sleeping and then trying to approach the area again. Sometimes there are crashes in CoP caused by bad spawns or A-Life so sleeping before going through the same area again sometimes resolves these kind of issues because different monsters are spawned or the offending creatures have already left the area or something. I know it's roughly the S.T.A.L.K.E.R.-equivalent of banging a witch drum and reading chicken bones when it comes to problem resolving but that's how I solve many of the raii:guard crashes and A-Life related :stack trace:s.

If it is in fact A-Life related you could try adjusting the mod's A-Life switch_distance to a really low number and see if you can get closer to the area before it crashes.

A hard save I did just before alerting the mutant horde (as in, me moving a metre forward would alert them, so it's [I]just[/I] before) works just fine. If you've an unmodified version of Misery 2.1, you could try it for yourself. Doing an assaulter playthrough.
The quicksave I did after killing every single one of them resulted in the same error, so that narrows things down quite a bit as to the cause. The mutant horde spawn itself is a one-off thing that's the same for everyone afaik; much like the burer/zombie/bloodsucker horde at the Iron Forest.

Honestly can't remember much of either, though; except that Clear Skies still seems to be in active development, and Reloaded was last updated in 2010 and hasn't budged an inch since then. Afaik they change the same bunch of things; neither seek to significantly change the game, but greatly improve on it's core features.

Faction wars, or at least the swamp war in the beginning, is still irritatingly twitchy and cancelly. Does anyone know of a simple mod that fixes this issue that I could merge into it?

The weapons are all bloody satisfying to use, though; especially the PMm at the beginning stages.

Well, Reloaded has moved a lot since the 0.8.5 version, but I was never satisfied enough to release the patch. (And there is also the fact that I was more focused on Call of Pripyat) But If you really want to see the amount of awesome progress I've made since 2010:

On a more serious note: I will soon release some screenshot and a translated version of the changelog that I've sent on a French forum a few month ago. I'm also thinking about giving a test-version if there's volunteers.
And Clear Skies is indeed a great mod, especially on the side of the guns and economic balance. (And that sound-design)

Coldsnake answered this already on GSC, but seeing as you might be here more often;
The mesh doesn't have a bone, hence why it crashes. Plus, the ammo box model is too big (from what he noticed after downloading the file)

I am aiming for 2.1, But I can just download the update.
Currently I found an official torrent that is downloading at a whopping 5 kb/s from some russian website, so anything faster than that would be excellent.

Never had a problem with Misery's repair system until now. Found me a sweet TRG on a merc i popped with an AP .338 from my M24, got back to Yanov and it was too damaged for a repair kit, plus repairs from nitro would've been 120K. I've never saw one for sale at any merch yet, but i couldn't part with 120K just for one rifle, especially since i was saving for a SEVA suit. IMO i think the randomized weapon condition should be capped at a point where repair by kits are still an option.

Okay. Ran Call of Pripyat SDK installer. But only the Level Editor shows up in my start menu. Opening the bin directory, I find the other editors, but when i run them directly they all crash with the error:
