Doesn't really incorporate that much new mechanics but it increases the A-Life and makes it more interesting like otherwise empty camps get used much more by stalkers and there's a tad much more hostile stalkers patrolling in the levels. The A.I in general is also slightly boosted. This is from the M.S.O though, AtmosFear 3 doesn't really change anything in terms of A.I or A-Life except for the AtmosFear 3 optionals where you can make the blowouts zombify stalker or so on. It's a very solid basic package that's good when you want the base game experienced boosted a tad but the mod also doesn't do things like boost the spawning of hostile stalkers or mutants into retarded numbers and some spawns are 'gated' like they are tied to certain camps dying / disappearing so it feels more logical and respects the original progression of the game somewhat. [editline]herp[/editline] The one thing I don't like about M.S.O. though is how they mixed the outfits of some factions a bit too much like blurred the lines of the factions by making free stalkers, bandits and mercenaries share visual models pretty freely so it ends up making the factions feel a lot less like their actual, intended factions when you got for example professional mercenaries sporting the ragged bandit look. Or when you have both Duty and free stalkers fielding SKAT-9 Bulat armors in large numbers, it's just robbing the regular factions of their identity. Things like bandits incorporating stalker skins doesn't bother me but honestly it feels like a lazy halfway-house solution to a cool concept where you would have the faction visual lines kind of subtly blurred by incorporating outfits that take elements from the armors of other factions like merc-y stalkers having custom models that are much more tuned towards fighting than artifact hunting (mixture of stalker suits and proper load-bearing vests and less gas masks, more balaclavas / tactical helmets) what TFW and a bunch of other mods does and as such kind of peeves me. But it's one of those things that's relatively easy to tweak from the character_descr_general.xml. Though SGM is a nice mod to go for if you want things like more quests, items and features like bankers and bodyguards.

It wasn't that obvious in Shadow of Chernobyl since you weren't supposed to be able to talk to bandit characters there's obviously no dialogue written for bandits so whatever lines come out of their mouth don't sound so out of place unlike in Clear Sky where it kind of is weird to have a Duty / Freedom guy have lines that are written for Bandit characters. That's just my experience combined with a lot of speculation though, perhaps a person with more modding experience could clear up whether this is just an assumption or actually something resembling of an astute observation that is also based on facts ? So I just finished SoC and now I want to go to Clear Sky but fuck this issue is goddamn annoying. Anyone had this problem? Game freezes after like 5-10 minutes of gameplay after I left swamps, and there's no error or log to provide since the game doesn't actually crash.

At a push I get 20 minutes out it but regardless, it always just plain freezes.

It's quite possible what you observed is true. Probably seeing something like: [dm_information_11] category = information npc_community = all level = garbage So if they never intended for certain communities to be on the map and those communties show up due to a mod or something they'll all be able to say that line of dialog.
