Because Gunslinger > OWR2 ;) *hint hint hint* That's not the update, though.
All I want, is Miisery with a full wood furniture Ak74 with the charging handle on the right side - and some decentish animations. Or SGM with proper weapon damages, no tracers, and Misery's vendor system. Or MGO, Pripyat Reborn and Arsenal overhaul. : (

The tracers I like simply because the muzzle velocities are so damn slow that I wouldn't know how to lead without them. Had to go through and fix the damn weapon durability though. The condition_shot_dec stuff was like ten fold higher than it should have been in many cases. A breech loading shotgun would likely go through thousands, if not tens of thousands, of rounds before really needing service, and yet it would take a fairly significant amount of damage from thirty shells. Removed durability reductions entirely from pistols and bumped their weight up by half a kilo each, but I always do that. Makes me much more likely to use pistols for lesser threats.
I'll probably go through and redo all of SGM's weapon ltx's tomrrow - and give that a try alongside my misery playthrough. I really do enjoy Missouri - but It just dosn't have the guns I'm looking for. SGM does - even without the Aresneal Overhaul - but It dosn't have any of the realism of Misery. Ah well. I have faith that either Misery 2.2 or SGM 3.0 - will draw the two closer together.
By the way of anyone cares amazon just emailed me that metro 2034 is finally being released in English on Feb 20 I've of course read it years ago, but I recommend it
Still wonder why the Swedish version came out before the English one.
Because the Swedes sell good chocolate.
If Hermann doesn't sit fucking still while i'm trying to view his trade selection, i'm going to beat him over the head with an artifact container :/
(Also any info on that pic? I found a G11 mod but its for SoC.)

Say, would this happen to be DMX 1.3.5?
The mod in question is actually Dream Reader - Dangerous Area. It's another one of those big slav mods that changes a whole bunch of stuff and happens to be made for SoC because it still seems to get the big chunk of such overhauls. Basically, it's supposed to give the player freeplay with plenty of new content added (not up to SOUP/Солянка levels, though) and a couple few quests as well so that you can dick around in there. I played it when it had been 3 months since the release and, well, to be frank, it felt like garbage for a variety of reasons. For starters, everything was made to deal tons of damage and everyone and everything died in 2 (or 3, if the target happened to be really lucky) shots. I recall walking through the old Yantar and putting down a pseudogiant with just 2 shells from my BM-16 and a chimera with another one right after reloading before it pounced me, along with some other random mutants. The world also felt darn empty and not even the good kind of empty with the reduced spawns. Fights were quick thanks to the damage issue I just mentioned, which led to you quickly running out of stalkers and mutants to meet. All the new quests I tried to complete were just boring fetch quest stuff. There was a bunch of info scattered around the maps containing stories, diary entries and other folklore about the Zone, some of which could lead you to treasures, which was kind of neat. I haven't played it now even though it seems to have gotten a slew of new patches, but I just don't want to try it again after my initial experience. I'd rather just finally try Lost World instead.
Lost World
Has it been released? I remember checking it a while back and wanting to try it out.
Has it been released? I remember checking it a while back and wanting to try it out.
It seems that the new iteration subtitled "Origin" is still in development. I think that "Troops of Doom" is the latest one out there, but what is sure is that it has been released, which has been so since 2012.
ah, russians and their naming schemes never gets old
Sooo...I think I found a proper error log of my Clear Sky problem, even tho it's from a week ago and I crashed many times since then, but whatever
Error Reason: ---------------------------------------- xrengine.exe caused BREAKPOINT in module "D:\Steam\steamapps\common\STALKER Clear Sky\bin\xrCore.dll" at 0023:1001B944, xrDebug::backend()+164 byte(s) User Message: ---------------------------------------- Expression : fatal error Function : CInifile::r_section File : E:\priquel\sources\engine\xrCore\Xr_ini.cpp Line : 443 Description : <no expression> Arguments : Can't open section 'repair_kit' System Error: ---------------------------------------- 0x00000012 - There are no more files. it seems to have the usual ctrl+v crash log, but repair kit? that's a vanilla item, right
Because the Swedes sell good chocolate.
Actually, that's Belgium [editline]14th February 2014[/editline]
The mod in question is actually Dream Reader - Dangerous Area. Any new developments in the stalker modding scene worth downloading and testing out before lulling myself to sleep trying to convince myself everything will be all right and that the zone isn't real because it can't be real?
Any new developments in the stalker modding scene worth downloading and testing out before lulling myself to sleep trying to convince myself everything will be all right and that the zone isn't real because it can't be real?
Depends. What games are we talking here
Actually, that's Belgium
I know Belgium is considered the eminent cholateirs - but the stuff availible in Sweden is way better than anything we get here. Hence why I mentioned them.
Depends. What games are we talking here
CoP?
CoP?
You know, we should like, update the OP or something for all people with these questions :v: Allow me; Get OWR. It's a great mod. Merged with Pripyat Reborn and AN3.01 you'll have substantially better visuals and gameplay over vanilla. Use the tweak to merge Pripyat Reborn with OWR2
Patch for Pripyat Reborn and OWR Weapons Addon
Sources here: http://www.moddb.com/mods/cop-original-weapons-renewal http://www.moddb.com/mods/pripyat-reborn Including the AN3.01 addon Source: http://www.moddb.com/mods/atmosfear-for-call-of-pripyat/addons/absolute-nature-3 Include these in the OP, please. Thanks Amez
In AMK, can I join Freedom?
So, making the stealth aspect viable in Clear Sky is possible. It is unstable and it requires tweaks that, in return, makes the NPC's combat behavior completely broken. But it's doable. [T]http://img11.hostingpics.net/pics/669796ssremnant122313041111marsh.jpg[/T] One surprising side effect is that when I was on fly mode to check the viability of my infiltration, a bandit spotted the main character "body" I had left inside the station but didn't try to warn the others. Instead, he approached slowly into my direction and backstabed me with his knife without doing a noise before I regained control of my character. That's interesting, because if the ability of NPC to use a knife is a feature from the AI Addition mod, I simply cannot tell why this bandit decided not to shoot on sight while he was so close to me. It seems that the Vanilla AI is hiding some unsuspected treasures under its usual stupidity.

If they see you camping, one of them might flank you, go slowly towards you cruching-prone and at the last moment blast your face. Its also very scary because you do not hear them and if you turn around before they get very close they´ll just unload their magazine into you.
For some of the stranger stuff, the wonderful David.m.e has done some merges and translations or since you're a native, you could probably get away with checking out the source.
I love David, he is like the Stalker librarian. He has played and warehoused just about every single mod.
Could somebody please do a breakdown and differences between all those russian mods? Because I can see they all have the same features and additions. For example, what would be the difference, say, between TROOPS OF DOOM and Narodnaya? The AP forum is full of these. EDIT: That's it, im gonna start learning russian just to play all these mods. Specially spectrum project
Thanks Loner!
Ok, I just had two immediate crashes on two separate saves, one quicksave, one hardsave. Luckily i kept several hardsaves, but i think those two are corrupt now. I also crashed both times without an error log, and the one in _appdata_ didn't update. Actually the log did update, but it's blank. Wow this thread suffers from sudden death syndrome, dies all the time for hours or days for no apparent reason.
Hey, with what patch should I play Sgt Doom's freeplay mod? Currently I am using 1.0006 but the inv icons are weird (mind you my res is 1600x900) and have somekind of background color. Everything else is fine.
It's normal. The icons are from LURK.
