How I feel when saving Mitay with fully-upgraded Duty exoskeleton, Predator and Strelok's SIG.

Just a shame nobody's started to sell the PKM, and i'd rather not massacre the Merc base just yet (since a few of their guys have one)
So, I have a major broken quest problem. I killed the 2 bloodsuckers that spawn in the Krug Antenna complex before starting the bloodsucker lair quest, and once I started it, Grouse spawned underground (past the elevator that he's supposed to open for you). So I can't get to him and he's just waiting down there. Tried boosting my jump and going into the lair the back way but even killing every bloodsucker doesn't trigger anything.
Any quest scripting wizards care to help me? Right now Grouse is just standing by that locked door that leads to the bloodsucker nest and I can't get to him.
[editline]1st March 2014[/editline]
Tried another save where I didn't kill those bloodsuckers, Grouse still spawns underground instead of outside the Krug antenna complex. Weird.
[editline]1st March 2014[/editline]
Fixed it by deleting the "sleeper_bloodsuckers" and "stalker_cop" .ltx files from gamedata/config/scripts/zaton, which restores that mission to vanilla values.
I hope you've downloaded the right version.
There's only one download link as far as I'm aware on both the website and the Moddb page so I should be good with 2.1.
I'm gonna try that luajit DLL with TFW to see if it has any effect on the amount of crashes I usually get. Hopefully it does and I can play one of my favorite mods without crashing all the time.

Hope you have better luck than when I tried. I attempted the same and still got crashes every 15-30 minutes. Genuine shame because TFW makes for such a great sandbox shooter.
Look at this motherfucker.
'Aleksandr Zaldostanov, nicknamed “Surgeon”, leader of Night Wolves, a bikers’ gang notorious for their close ties to the Kremlin (by Andrei Kanishchev, in Simferopol, Crimea, 1 March 2014)'

Tell me he couldn't be a Merc leader with the nickname Surgeon and looking like that
His face is a brick.
I wonder if he headbutts Eggheads on an hourly basis.
it's funny, militant bikers are basically one of the factions from Survivarium. He'd fit right in.
Hey guys, I'm working on a Stalker like project. Currently i'm creating an interface, and I wanted to get you're opinion on this HUD
__
On the conception side ? It's almost perfect. It has all the infos I will personnaly need and nothing more, which is great for immersion. I also like the design a lot, though it could probably be a bit smaller and dirt. (The metal part should look more like this in my opinion: http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y18/fetuscollector6/ST82.jpg)
But I definitly like this.
Bandits were grenadesky-ing me and I had amassed a collection of 25+ grenades.
Much catharsis was had that day.
Now here's an interesting crash. Happens when I load a save. What do you guys think?

I'm going to try out the STALKER complete 2009 mod, looks great!
yeah its the favorite of just about everyone here
And I'm moving to Call of Prypiat now, finally. So what mod would you guys suggest to play it with?
MISERY? I hear the name SGM being thrown a lot around here too, is it better?
Look mommy no hands:
dat crosshair
Alright, so Misery definitely aint for me. Will go for SGM instead
So SGM 2.1 or 2.2? From what I've read here, 2.1 seems to be superior and has more content outside of the new maps because fuck logic. I don't really care about the new maps since I'll be doing a Zaton start.
Also from what I understand, I download 2.1 and then apply David m.e's translation over it yes?

Get 2.1 and the full integration pack on david's moddb page. Also get Atmosfear 3, since the integration pack requires it.
2.1 is best, yes. Speaking of which, I just had my first Alpha Squad encounter this playthrough at rank 700+. I was walking on that long straight road in the north of Yanov, and just as I was passing by two Freedomers walking the other direction I hear this zip-zip noise and one of the freedomers just drops dead. Alpha Squads can be a real force of nature when they're high rank.

Are Alpha Squads less common in 2.1? Encountering your first squad at rank 700+ must be extremely lucky.
Got wealthy client and the best possible reputation with stalkers and duty, but still nobody sells a damn PKM :c
Find it off of a dead exosuit zombie wandering around yanov.
Find it off of a dead exosuit zombie wandering around yanov.
Been slaughtering them buggers, but the only stalkers ever carrying them are the mercs in the Jupiter base. Might have to simply end up slaughtering them in order to get one.
[editline]2nd March 2014[/editline]
Finally got one by luring a pseudogiant to take out one of the few Duty guys carrying one. Rather disappointing one can't sprint with it, and that it has no ironsights. Will need to fix that.
[editline]2nd March 2014[/editline]
Fixed it by setting it to use the default model again, and used the ironsight, hand and such positions from CfP; along with it's texture and run animation. Much better now.
Now i'm prepared for Pripyat, and any further mutant horde missions.

Well I didn't turn them on until I was around Rank 500, since there was no way I could defend myself from them. I figured with my nifty Ecologist suit and my Gewehr sniper rifle, I could take them. As it turns out, I barely held them off with my Protecta loaded with dumdum ammo. Although now I stole one of the L86s, so I can just snipe them from 500 meters out.

I found an RPG-7 on a zombie once :v:

How could you turn off the squads at low level? The best part of SGM is killing your first Alpha Squad after getting your shit kicked in over 200 times by them because all you have is a terrible AK. :v:
So whilst trying to get the baileys for Cardan. I ran towards the bandit base to see if I can negotiate for it or something. Turns out just as I got the front gate, a Pseudogiant was hiding in the bushes, fast forward, the Giant took out 13 Bandits, and I was able to just about finish it off.
Headed inside, looted some bodies, grabbed the bottle. Went to leave, saw a couple Zombies, no big deal. Stopped dead whilst a Chimera slowly started to walk out from behind a Vehicle. I backed up slowly. Only to greeted instantly by a Bloodsucker uncloaking RIGHT IN MY FACE. (Damn you SGM for making bloodsuckers COMPLETELY Invisible) So whilst you ponder on that. I'm gonna go change my underwear cause many bricks were dropped.
There's nothing quite like running around northern Zaton, seeing a mutant and mistaking it for a boar until it leaps 50 feet at your face and is, in fact, a chimera.

I'd rather get my shit kicked in because all I have is a Protecta and a Gewehr 43 with 10 bullets in it.

There's no horror like CoP Redux and zombies carrying RG-6s.

I did it with a Chimera. Due to them and PseudoGiants being same-ish colour. I first thought it was a Giant, and thought, eh, I can outrun it and just load it with rounds and keep giving it the run around, only to realise it was infact a Chimera and promptly after realising, started to run away like a little girl cause I wasn't outfitted to face one.
Oh, it didn't happen in norther Zaton. I remember because I ended up sprinting for the Oakpine anomaly. I climbed up, and while the chimera was pacing around underneath not giving a fuck about chemical anomalies, I dropped a double-F1 on it. Good times.
