Watch out everyone within 300m, i'm farming headshots, and i just got an L96A1. I single-handedly killed every single mutant including the pseudogiant with it during the initial mutant wave just before you join Dawn. Nope, Protecta has superior accuracy and range, plus the rate of fire makes up for any deficiency in damage (83 with the tactics manual). I wrecked those mutants, and the alpha squad that showed up halfway through.
Can someone tell me how to install SGM 2.1 with all addons 'n stuff?

I used it on the tougher mutants, using my Breakwater (both 5.45 and nades) for smaller things, and letting David & Co. mop up the stragglers. Well, I found 10 dum-dum's in a stash, but have had to rely on my upgraded Predator. That wouldn't be nearly as bad if I Alpha Squads didn't love to engage at 200+ metres.

Generally, my strategy with alpha squads is to run to the nearest solid cover and pick them off, since they will happily sit out in the open and get murked by my protecta. Just gotta watch out for the snipers, since one hit from that L96/M82 will either kill you outright or bleed you out in about a second.
I've got fully-upgraded military exo and sphere-12 helmet (can't remember if that's the name; the helmet like the tactical helmet, but with better armour), and that damn sniper rifle still one-shots me sometimes :v: Fortunately every other weapon they carry plinks off nearly harmlessly, and my PKM spreads them across the landscape.
I want to try Doom's mod merge, but I don't know anything about them. There's one for SoC and CoP, apparently? Do they work with Russian versions of the game? Do they have any official pages/forum threads? I only find reuploads on google search mostly. What can you guys tell me about it (I know it's freeplay + some fixes, but nothing else). What's the difference between the mod for SoC and CoP? Basically, what I want, is a huge sandbox mod where I can fuck around, after finishing story many times in vanilla.

They can be a total and utter pain in the ass for me sometimes. Othertimes they generally tend to be entirely hopeless.

Doom's CoP Merge retains the story while Doom's Mod Merge doesn't. [editline]herp[/editline] I'm not entirely sure whether Tecnobacon's Soup has Collector's Freeplay but it should have. For Call of Pripyat there are a couple of the types of mods you're talking about but not really many freeplay ones. You could wait for Call of Chernobyl or try Way to Pripyat / Winter of Death : Ultimatum. Some of these mods are very russian though, and as a result they might suffer a little from the "kitchen sink"-syndrome where there's a ton of content dumped into the mod but the quality and the style of it isn't really very consistent.

They edited these shots. A lot. Also, they def. need some sort of AA technique to make up for all those jaggied lines, edges and even distance trees. I mean, while I like the shots, something feels definitely [I]off[/I] about them. Also, dat FOV. Looks like FC3's FoV which is set to like 55 or something :v:

[editline]herp[/editline] What I'm excited about is that it seems to have new, well-made character models (unless they're stolen from some modern military shooter games that I'm not aware of) which is always a plus. Unfortunately judging from one of the wayy earlier screens of the mod it seems that they still have that janky thing going on where NPC weapons and hands will clip through their load-bearing vests and so on which produces a really jarring visual effect and it's an instant hit to immersion.

Hey so I repurchased a physical copy of SoC from Amazon because I like being able to switch patch versions on the fly and I don't know whether this copy is U.S or Worldwide. Seeing the PEGI info leads me to believe it's worldwide. It didn't even come with any instruction manual, just a CD-key sticker above the CD which has the same artwork on the front. I don't know how, but i made it through Noah's Mutant Mosh Pit pretty easily, i stood on the tower chucking double F1 grenades and popping Chimeras and Controllers with the Super-Vintar. I'm sure as hell going to be ready for Dawn's Mutant Mosh Pit, got Zulu's RP-74 and a shitload of PP rounds. Gonna set up explosive charges out in the field, they remove loads of muties.

A mossberg destroyer, 100 shot shells, a handful of F1 'nades, and a decent amount of med supplies saw me through. Didn't do Noah's thing because it's my own tradition that i kill him immediately and take his compasses.
