Nostalgia, those anims make it look like the old builds. And why especially the pistols? The pistol animations were the least bad looking anims in the original game versus all the weird ass rifle anims.
Also supposedly you can put weapons mods over it, though that may have changed
It could be worse though, does it still use the stock SIG animation where your hand is basically in the barrel.

A. Ammunition display
B. Mini map
C. Additional weapons/ammunition
D. HD/better textures

Guys, I need your help with something, I'm playing just plain Narodnaya Solyanka right now, and for whatever reason, unlike every other version of the mod, this one in particular only gives me 5 artifact slots, even though more space is literally visible in the inventory screen. If I attempt to put something on the belt while it's full, the game will CTD, giving me some error about there not being enough belt space. I understand you can modify max_belt to allow more, but it shows 16 are available, while only 5 slots are present (I'll try to post the error, and some screenshots of the inventory screen tomorrow). My question is, how can I properly modify the belt to allow the proper amount of slots?
Edit: How in the fuck is this a dumb post? I'm asking a legitimate question, and to the individual that decided to rate my post dumb, you can just piss of right now. You don't even post here, what relevance does your opinion have?

The author of X-Ray extensions (SkyLoader) is in Dez0wave. He has access to the source code which would make it much easier to reverse engineer the xrGame binary.
Man all this talk about LA is making me think about just how good this is for STALKER. Even if LA was a total piece of garbage gameplay/content-wise (though I'm certain it won't be ofc) it would be worth it for the code-base alone and what it gives us.
Too bad Co-op stalker would never work though. Sure Survarium's coming but it ain't the same universe.
What would I modify to buff my stamina a bit in Misery as a Recon? I think last time I tried I accidentally gave myself infinite stamina. :v:

Shame on me, but I actually decided that I wanted to do a semi-vanilla playthrough. Grabbed Photorealistic Texture Pack 2 and combined it with Complete (on Master to somewhat balance the character buffs from Complete). I just want to experience the story again and I feel like this is a good compromise to make the base game prettier and more stable.

that thing is so amazing in person, you can't grasp just how huge it is until you see it up close
Regarding lost alpha, some russian "intels", if they can be trusted, said that in reality, release was planned for June anyways, so we might not be missing out too much... we are all accustomed to patches and bugs, and it's not a stalker game if it doesn't have those. Also, I'm pretty sure if they release some of their tools they used, other modders will finish the job in no time.
