TZP isn't a great name, really. True Zone implies (although I assume this is unintended) that this group's portrayal of the Zone is The True One. Talking about the Zone typecasts you to Stalker mods for those who play Stalker, and just sounds weird to those who don't. Projects (or rather [PROJECTS]) is entirely redundant. The square brackets also make it come off a little xX_COD_kiLLer_Xx.
In my humble opinion.
Also, you might want to stop talking about it as a 'company' and things like that, especially with the copyright stuff etc.

I think he should stick with TZP. The point of a name is to be unique unless you are intentionally being generic. Think of Bad Hat Harry, nobody who hasn't seen Jaws would have no idea what the name means.

TZP is alright, but if you wanted to branch away from Stalker I'd say it's not a great name.

These sentiments I most agree with. But considering that TZP has had the most media exposure and created the thing you're most famous for, it'd be up for consideration to run a "shadow company/group" by another name in non-S.T.A.L.K.E.R. related projects and merge TZP into that under the new name after it has gotten it's foot between the door a little bit.

In all seriousness, I see where you're all coming from. TZP was established in 2009, when I was some 14 year old thinking he was 'all it'. It's true initiative was:"Bring some modders together who're going to make a few cool mods" and it ended up being this loved / hated group of pretty awesome people in general.
Now, with me being 18 and wanting to set up something more professional, I want to steer it into a whole new direction. Yes, Alundaio, it wasn't my intention on portraying the mods as 'my own'. I will immediately change that. I wanted to let (mostly the russian community) know that TZP doesn't endorse theft in any way. If some russian guy uses your PR in his mod without notifying you, I'll make it my duty to hunt him down, like I did with PPx and MISERY who's content had been stolen (taking credit for the original work done by the respective modder).
Also, Beac, TZP isn't a company, [I]yet[/I] ... I am planning on actually putting a copyright on it, but only after I 'tidy' up the name / association with the name a bit. I am seriously thinking of creating a studio with a few indie guys who've already offered their knowledge and work to me, because of my own work (ppx / prz2).
I'll think of a few new potential names along the way. I really want something refreshing, you know? Something I could use for both STALKER as another game (like Predator_828 did with 828Studios). That's a good name. 'Lone Projects' or something like that isn't :v: lol

This is actually a darn good idea. I did the same with 'The MISERY Development Group' and 'Phoenix Interactive'. Both of these are sister-companies off TZP.

Lol, speaking of which, did you ever see that Russian version of AI Tweaks? They did a notepad++ replace of my name in all the files with theirs. I was so upset.

I've got to say, I've got mad, mad respect for you Alun. Even after code-theft attempts, you still have a relatively lax license attached to most of the code I've looked at, which definitely makes you a boss guy.

I think you should cut it down to the section between 2 and 4 secondsand remove the blood, or minimize it at least.
Anyone got a download link to stalker soundtracks? I can't find any that aren't just the guitar tracks and I'm not knowledgeable to go rooting through the files myself :v:
Wow, I managed to eliminate all the Duty soldiers in the Bar while playing Doom's Free Lurk. It's weird because I encountered very little opposition; I was only shot once by some guy with a Makarov.

One lesson learned from the raid though, never use a M16A4. That shit jammed when the condition was down to 90%. :v:

You're looking for something along the lines of "walk_power" and "walk_weight_power" in your actor.ltx file.

Also, I'm enjoying it but Pripyat Reborn seems kinda prone to crashes. Is that why the link was pulled from ModDB?
anything in actor.ltx with "_power" refers to stamina drain/recuperation.

Yeah, I found out something wrong with the cut mutant Zombie and some other thing. I will have new release probably tomorrow.

Negative numbers regenerate stamina, positive numbers increase stamina drain. Anything suffixed with "_k" is a coefficient, i.e. a multiplier of walk_power.
So in this example, sprinting uses 75 times more stamina than walking. You can decrease sprint_k to sprint for longer.
I'm guessing the OWR weapons addon compatibility patch for PR won't work with the newest version, right?
Also I know it's kind of obvious given how much I play them but I really heavily enjoy STALKER's gunplay. Especially with high powered weapons (or those rebalance mods that make them more lethal, though they do kind of hurt the feeling of "progression")
With mods that add nice animations I enjoy the shooting as much as I do in games like FEAR. (also the death animations are oddly well done, they seem to cut off right before they clip through anything and it makes for some nice deaths like people backing up and falling over railings or sliding down walls)

Now there is both OWR 2 patch and OWR 2 addon patch; They will still be compatible.

Um, hello? I'm fairly new to STALKER, I got the game (SoC) gifted a long time ago, but I only played it like once - didn't really get into it, but today (after lurking on here for long :v: ) I decided to install it again, this time however play with some mods. The problem is that both LURK and Complete both make the game crash, I can run vanilla as smooth as butter though, the game just crashes with no message (besides the obvious "stopped working" message) so could you please help?
Using mods inherently destabilises the game, unfortunately. Can you ctrl-v into the reply box after you crash? That will give us a message that might help diagnose the issue.

If you're running the Steam version, some mods won't probably be compatible with the version you have installed currently. Complete is a completely obsolete mod by now, I don't know what version LURK requires, but if it requires 1.005 and won't run on newer, you'll either need a compatibility patch or downgrading your SoC install.

The game is telling you to finish it vanilla once.
Go vanilla (maybe with ZRP?) or go home
