Okay I tried using Autumn Aurora, I don't think I wanna use it for a first playthrough of SoC. It seems to change a bit too much. What else would you guys recommend? I mostly just want something that would improve the visuals and replace the weapon models and animations with less shitty ones.

Going to bother you guys once again, trying to get Soup to work. I downloaded the 11 parts and started unpacking, but the instructions say to get patch 3. I'm not sure what that is, there's 2 patches in the online drive, 2.7 and 4.7. Which do I download (or both)? Nevermind figured it out, 2.7 then 4.7.

Holy fucking shit. I think STALKER has just managed to make me jump out of my seat more than anything else ever has today. I had just done the first mission in pripyat in CoP and I went back to loot the bodies in the hospital. I know a chimera can wander there at night so I was cautious but didn't see jack shit, so I entered. I found a hallway with the dead bodies and they were layed out in a kind of spooky manner, so I decided to knife them a bit to get blood on the floor again so I could take a screenshot. My nightvision was off, only flashlight. I look up and start walking down the hall and a fucking chimera jumps right at my face. No prior warning of any kind or audible cue to let me know it was there. Just, out of the blackness right at my face. I was so scared I yelled "holy fucking shit" out loud. Even in the scariest of games (including stalker) I usually jump and silently get scared. It should be possible to use the level editor to increase the capacity of AI in a smart terrain right? I wanna fuck around with AI spawns in Pripyat Reborn to see if I can get close to anything like MSO's active areas.

Aside from Misery, that is. :v: I tried checking out the thread's preferred CoP mod list, but it looks like the links are dead. CS 2014 actually looks pretty good, I hadn't looked into that one before.
