Well, fuck. Is there anything else out there that could just get me all the guns from LURK but none of the gameplay changes from it?

Those textures are actually from vintar's arms match suit mod, it's the one I was talking about, it would be quite easy to implement into LA, just need new meshes for those few new weapons, like I said. You can merge L.U.R.K. guns with AMK (somewhere out there, on the internet, there's bound to be some instructions on how to do it) or play ZoA, which incorporates most, if not all, of the L.U.R.K. weapons and some other ones from different packs.

AMK increases the 'difficulty' via variation and some alternative mutant spawns, it's not terribly more difficult than the base Vanilla game, but it'll throw some curveballs at you from time to time. The "bread and butter gameplay" is still relatively the same from Vanilla SoC, though.
I think that you would like AMK, it's not called the "grandaddy of stalker mods" for nothing. It has some new features and spiced up difficulty to make the game interesting for veterans but it doesn't go full cykablyat in terms of new features or difficulty.

ZoA seems interesting, but it appears to increase difficulty, which I don't want. Does AMK do anything like that?

There's a solution.
Go fight an Alpha Squad with a baseline stalker suit, an unmodified an-94 and 120 rounds of ammo.
You may mount a scope on the an-94.

That sounds good then, though I couldn't find anything on how would I merge that with the guns from LURK.
I'm glad LA has the old build weapon bob. I hate how SoC never had weapon movement outside of sprinting, I felt the bob added in CS and CoP made movement feel more natural

I've dealth with scripting, mostly merging in particularly, but adding things as well, configs, spawns, sdk, meshes, sounds, ui textures, like I said a little bit of everything.
The mod that I would like to do, is not particularly changing something in LA, but using it's engine and using already tested and established features, like thrist and sleeping, and to make a kind of little new storyline, changing a lot of things, starting with economy, health, inventory overhaul, variety of npc models, ending with completely reworked spawns and different feeling to the whole gameplay process.
I am pretty sure that once LA is out, at first I will release some small add-ons like overhauls I've just mentioned for plain vanilla lost alpha.
Make an animated sprite and replace the usual explosion sprite / particle.

Amik particles. Very well engineered, if i may say so myself. just lacks the 3D effect. This looks pretty bad in night situations because the sprites aren't affected by light, sadly :v:
Is that why they look a bit 'Doom' like.

Only optional thing I installed were the LURK weapons and my game just crashes when loading.
If I throw a mod like this [url]http://stalker.filefront.com/file/Russian_Audio_Dialogue_Mod;110621[/url] over another one, do you think it would cause conflicts? I wanted to try and get SGM's dialogue back to Russian because the English is awful. I think it replaces the sounds in character_voice.
Yeah, that's what I do every time. SGM doesn't do anything to the voices, so it's fine.

Are there any SoC mods out there that only replace all the guns with better models and animations? Has anyone, for example, just separated the guns from LURK and made them work without the rest of the mod?

There was the weapons re-animations mod that replaced all the animations for the default weapons, but no LURK weapons if that's what you are after.
Okay I just decided to use LURK, but now I have no hud at all in-game. I found a download for some files that should supposedly re-enable it, but that didn't seem to do anything.

It is 1.1 and I do have a widescreen monitor.
That explains why I just see a compassarrow and my ammunition in LURK 1.1. But it should support 16:10 I guess
EDIT: Read around on moddb and apparently there is no proper hud in LURK according to one of the devs. There will be one in 1.2.
