Can someone explain to me why Lost Alpha is so anticipated for? It seems that there was a design shift sometime in alpha and people want to experience how alpha played? If someone has more in-depth info I'd appreciate it.

As such the release maps were waaay smaller and not as interesting. So LA will be that video but with good graphics and is basically a new STALKER game in the vein of what the alpha builds may have been had they not been cut back/reworked so much. On top of that, some people from GSC actually helped them with LA

God damn now I'm hyped. Is there a way to have two steam versions of the game? Like LA on one and Soup on the other, because it looks great but I don't want to reinstall Soup later.

Apparently a gtx 570 can't handle swamps in CS I've turned Sun rays to low and switched from Dx10.1 to 10. Any other ideas?

So we could have different things like bigger bandit leather jacket sleeves in first person, or exosuit pieces visible on the arm like CS/CoP. where does one download lost world: origins. is there a translation going on for it too?
I've had a go at playing the Misery mod for COP. Any suggestions on how I should get some money, because I need a new suit desperately.

Given its strange nature which I don't think anybody has been able to pin down yet, it will either give you a sizable performance increase [B]or[/B] decrease depending on whether the stars are aligned in your favour. Is LA bringing back vehicles? I know there are already some car mods for STALKER, but since the maps aren't very open, they didn't really work very well. With the original larger and more open maps, I imagine vehicles will be a lot more useful. Though I've heard LA has some of its own new weapons as well so I'm not sure what could be done about those.[/QUOTE] Ah, that would require re-doing those models, since in SOC hands and weapon goes together, unlike in CSKY/COP, it would need to be matched together again, and I'm afraid I'm not that experienced, I did try, but I couldn't say that I achieved anything good. Still, in vanilla csky/cop, I'm pretty sure that every arm model in game is just retextured, and the only one that has a different model is exoskeleton, so we're not losing much compared to those. There is an alternative to vintar's arms match suit, a russian version, which does include vanilla soc weapons with csky exoskeleton hands, but I think those animations aren't as good as from the stalker re-animation project. I think we should wait for OWR for SOC, and see what it brings to the table, those animations and weapons look a lot better than re-animation project. Another thing, I think LURK increases your bleeding chance, almost every shot I take makes me bleed, anyone know if there's any line in some config file I could change for that?
