use_outfit_evaluator = true -- NPCs determine your allegiance by your suit, as long as you're not too close, running or holding a weapon.
why have I never looked at the xiani_config.script file in dooms mod merge
If that works, that's fucking amazing
Same problem :/ I've probably not put the mods in correctly
Moved gamedata and it's still doing it I'll do a fresh install I guess.
If you have CD version don't install into program files. I/O can silently fail in those directories.
Guys I made a headlamp that doesn't just barely shine far enough for you to see where you dropped your vodka.

holy dogballs it does
Now I'll be able to actually get to the fucking bar while playing as Freedom without causing a massive firefight
For anybody who wants to play Lost World Origins

There's a machine translation available

FUCKING HEART ATTACK
I swear to fuck I'm shooting dogs on sight now
That's pretty much what happened to me in CoP but swap the garbage for the hospital at night, and swap the pseudodog with a chimera
In Doom's freeplay merge for SoC can I repair weapons anywhere?

Is there one of these for SoC?

Faction traders and Sid / Sakharov / Barkeep can repair weapons. Every faction has their own trader. Sidorovich and Barkeep will repair your gear regardless of faction alliances, Sakharov will be hostile toward you if you play as a member of a faction that's hostile toward Ecologists.

Welp. Guess agroprom isn't a good idea this early
I noticed playing Lost World Origins that NPCs will actually yell for help and sprint away if they are getting swarmed by mutants instead of trying to fight. Do you have anything like this in CoC/can it be done?

Panic is already in the engine and it looks ridiculous. Just up the panic_threshold in m_stalker.
There's no way to make them do it without the wonky sprint?
There's no way to make them do it without the wonky sprint?
The wonky sprint is the best part.
Petition Den Stash to make a replacement sprint animation, like the one in his videos.

Could you describe this mate? My internet here at home is just pitiful, I can't even watch youtube videos...
Thinking about controllers while in CoP.
I think it'd be awesome if they could use some of that mind control shit on you.
Like, if you get attacked by one suddenly some bloodsuckers start attacking you and after you kill them they morph, and you find out they were nearby friendly NPCs that were trying to help you.

that's what the dark ones do in Metro, the very first scene in Last Light is exactly that basically
I agree, it would be great
More psychic stuff in general would be nice. I think they closest we've got is that "Horror Time" in some mods or the Brainscorcher effect with the ethereal enemies.
It would be so cool. Imagine traveling with NPCs like some mods add. It's the middle of the night, you stop to eat something.
Suddenly your screen fades out and when it comes back in, your squadmates are gone. And then bloodsuckers come from around you and start chasing you.

Sounds like some post-apoc porn flick.
Night of the Bloodfuckers.

At the end you can hear Bloodshot reacting to the turn of events
Is there one of these for SoC?
Yes, this one. It's the same file in SoC and CoP, for some godsent reason.
[editline]17th April 2014[/editline]
It has now been tried and tested. My five years in the making flashlight three values changed(tm) mega mod pack is compatible with SoC, CS and CoP.
Lost Alpha confirmed to release September 17th, 2017
well looks like I was wrong
Man, wandering pripyat is so wonderfully atmospheric it almost entirely makes up for any issues I have with CoP
So this just happened.
You know, we all joked about STALKER when the Fukushima plant exploded after that Tsunami, but the Exclusion Zone in Japan has a lot of potential. For a book, a game, a movie, whatever.
It's a little more unsettling in a few ways. In Chernobyl people had a bit of a warning, they knew about the evacuation, took stuff with them, shut the doors and locked the windows. In Fukushima everyone literally had 15 minutes to run as far as they could before the Tsunami hit, leaving EVERYTHING behind.
Japanese Society, unlike in the Ukraine is a little different. Chernobyl became the victim of looting, vandalism. In Japan, it's literally the same exact way as people left it. The stores still have shelves and shelves of food and product on them for example.
Also Chernobyl as a city and all the surrounding villages didn't EXPLODE with the NPP. They were left all intact, just.. there. In Japan some were left too, especially further away from the shore but the closer you get to the coast, the NPP the more warped the landscape becomes. Fields of mangled cars, collapsed buildings, abandoned boats two miles inland and so on. And another unsettling thing is a lot of the infastructure still survived. So the lights still come on, the power still works.. things that were left on when people ran away may still be powered up today.

Is sad but at the same time is so beautiful, i'm amazed that there is some places "working" normally on that area. It could be a nice place for a Stalker spin-off
