Take a fucking look up close on this shit and tell me you didn't shed a friggin smile (the white 'orbs' you're seeing is visor reflection with lens flares AND dirt) [t]http://media.moddb.com/images/mods/1/20/19185/ss_georgy_04-17-14_16-14-27_l03u_agr_underground.jpg[/t] the lore ... the LORE [t]http://media.moddb.com/images/mods/1/20/19185/ss_georgy_04-17-14_16-28-12_l22_marsh.jpg[/t] Their shader guy (K.D.) went all CryEngine on Xray. Damn. I'm seriously impressed. Even more so that they did this without access to the engine and it runs at above 60FPS on a just below average PC. Optimizations combined with visual improvements and various fixes? I'll gladly take it! Imagine these shaders combined with AA2 and my PRZ2 ... damn. I'll call the compilation S.T.A.L.K.E.R:CompleteR
The Swamp was always one of the best looking areas, but it's looking even better now.
Ho-ly Jesus. They need to make a proper gameplay demo of the Swamp during morning; Feels like a perfect way to show off all the stuff they modified.

They'll also update the articles with more updates on gameplay elements as well as graphics. They've coded a new slot into the game without the engine code itself :v: that's ... impressive
Can you not use the scope on the G36 in LURK? The description says it has a built-in x2.0 scope, but I can only use the ironsights which only give me as much magnification as the ironsights on any other gun do.
what are some good total conversion/big mods for SoC? just finished my waay overdue playthrough of it, and would be cool to play with some mods been looking at soup and oblivion lost since they apparently add a lot of new content
what are some good total conversion/big mods for SoC? just finished my waay overdue playthrough of it, and would be cool to play with some mods been looking at soup and oblivion lost since they apparently add a lot of new content
OL is pretty dated, if you're talking 2.2 Get Autumn Aurora 2, it's the most stable mod I've played because it's based upon ZRP, a mod fixing almost all bugs in the game. It also adds new level geometry and trees, so it's a welcome variety. You can also try the following: - OGSE - Lost World Origins - Priboi (for a new storyline) - Oblivion lost remake - LURK - Zone of Alienation And if all those don't seem to fit to your taste, there's also the Modern Warfare 2 of SHOC: STALKER Complete. It's recommended to turn off your brain first before installing the complete mod, otherwise you'll rationalize why it's so bad and try to talk yourself into thinking it's actually a solid mod better than the rest and good for a first play through :v:
Priboi (for a new storyline)
Saying that Priboi Story has a "new storyline" sounds pretty grandiose considering that the new storyline seems to be more like an undirected slog to find 7 documents, the location of which is basically just hinted at. Also, what's noteworthy about the levels is that they're crammed full of all kinds of physics shit like houses, helicopters and things, which have pretty dodgy physics so if you touch them, they might kill you and go flying. Oh yeah, and the Wish Granter is now at the Garbage. So that should "clue you in" what kind of canonical ground Priboi Story is walking on.
Zone of Alienation
New patch to make it compatible with 1.006 is right around the corner, so if that isn't yet released, it's worth waiting until it's out so you don't have to go through unnecessary downgrading hurdles.

Looks like a small, short cylinder.

If you enter them, there might be a 77 in 100 chance it's going to glitch out, kill you, and launch you into stalkan space
Yeah I'm wondering about that myself. I just installed the ModDB version and got the translation Blood linked, along with the english fix. Is there a step by step guide? Also what's the latest version of the Soup right now? Might give that another try too. EDIT: Got a crash on Lost World after installing the ModDB version + english fix and machine translation. Expression : fatal error Function : CModelPool::Instance_Load File : E:\stalker\sources\trunk\xr_3da\xrRender\ModelPool.cpp Line : 111 Description : <no expression> Arguments : Can't find model file 'physics\stul\stul_1ñ.ogf'.
Change the second stul_1c.ogf file in \gamedata\meshes\physics\stul to the name stul_1ñ.ogf It fixed it for me.

I'm sure that one led to an ass pull just as big as the Wish Granter in The Garbage.
Don't forget the hazardous Sidorovich. [sp]Forward to garbage, back to cordon, to garbage, bar, military warehouses ... geez.[/sp]

It was the first mod that had all.spawn edits on that scale. I find it impressive on a technical level, personally.
I played Pribori Story yonks ago and all I can remember is Foliage, foliage everywhere. You can't see for the tall shrubs and grass everywhere. I enjoyed it though as it was so unique for its time.
You don't play priboi for the story, you play it for the nostalgia
Wouldn't it then be known as Pribori Nostalgia? / Nostalgia Story
You guys don't like Priboi? I see disappointment in your future.
There's some interesting model choices in Lost World. I'm pretty sure I just shot Bill from L4D. :v: Ended up giving up on the mod though, it's kind of confusing and while the maps are great I think I need to wait for a proper translation. I put PeopleSoup on again instead, it's running pretty well this time around. The only torrent I could find was of 1.0.9 though, are there any fast downloads to get the latest beta? Am I very out of date with the one I have?
There's some interesting model choices in Lost World. I'm pretty sure I just shot Bill from L4D. :v:
My party rotation was composed of CS Nimble, Sean Devlin, Bill, a sleepy bandit, and Father Valerian. :v:
You guys don't like Priboi? I see disappointment in your future.
No, I love it, silly goose. I was just saying, now it's more like a mod you have to play because you have to witness what they did with it so shortly after the release.
What mods are fully compatibility with STALKER Call Of Pripyat? I tried to install any mod from Moddb but none works properly. It crashes after 2 minute.
What mods are fully compatibility with STALKER Call Of Pripyat? I tried to install any mod from Moddb but none works properly. Finally got past that bloody Yandex download limit. Is the machine translation for LWO actually compatible with the fully-patched 1.5 version? I noticed that the translation affects a lot of scripts and other things as well.
You know what we need, a vanilla+ mod for STALKER that isn't called Complete. So evil_twin and I are taking this task upon us.
You must be doing something wrong. It must be on your end so; 1. Did you patch your game? 2. Did you read the installation instructions? 3. Is it a legal copy?
It's the Steam Original Copy, and the game seems to be up to date. Three years ago I had exactly the same problem with STALKER CoP game. Crash after 2 minutes modded or not modded.
