So, uh, I haven't been following the news about Lost Alpha, but will I need vanilla SoC to run it?
nope.
So, uh, I haven't been following the news about Lost Alpha, but will I need vanilla SoC to run it?
Like Ownered said, it'll be a separate 5GB (packed) installer which will unpack into roughly 15GB of data. Heads up: The current database unpacker will be incompatible with LA's packed .DBx files
Heads up: The current database unpacker will be incompatible with LA's packed .DBx files
So uh, is there any word on whether they'll issue a database unpacker after the release ? Because the leak already had some annoying things that I was looking forward to editing myself but if they're locked behind packed databases, there's no tweaking that can be done in that case.
I'm sure they'll be delivering ways to unpack the databases for us. Just like they said they'd be delivering a new SDK .. hope this will all be realized, though. There's always the possibility for a single reason for them not to deliver these tools, whatever that may be :v:
And you call yourself a "veteran" with a few hundred hours? Ohohohoho :v:
I'm a Wizard and I've only ever played STALKER for thirty-two minutes cumulatively.
And you call yourself a "veteran" with a few hundred hours? Ohohohoho :v:
He's right. Only after 3000 hours of zone-time, eating four hundred and nineteen sausages, and owning at-least one AN-94 can you achieve true cheeki breeki veteranship.

You never forget either the vodka or knives, brother. Also, Does modding time count, because if that's the case, most people here exceed that *hints at Beac and myself*
fashion designers are the lowest of the low in the stalker community no one should acknowledge them
Like trying to force a million camels through the eye of a needle, I doubt many of us will succeed in downloading it on release day :v:
I have hope I will play it on release day. Probably at 23:59 on release day though after spending 23 hours downloading it, that's what usually happens.
I kinda wish somebody would remake the hand mesh from vanilla/beta SoC. I quite like the rolled up sleeve over the CS sleeve, though the vanilla model has some strangely large and oddly shaped hands (so does CS, but they aren't as odd)
a large majority of the assets and models created for SoC were created circa 2002-2004, including the first person hand model, so that kinda explains their funky and dated look
I kinda wish somebody would remake the hand mesh from vanilla/beta SoC. Still, you'd need to do this for every weapon model so .... yeah
I'm actually kind of considering trying to make a hand mesh for it myself, though I've no idea how to rig or export them to a game. Even with OWR, as nice as the weapons are the weird hand mesh makes some of them look strange as fuck. That's one reason I really liked Clear Sky 2014 - had some really good weapon models mixed with good hand models. Actually...he did put those hands that he found up for download...
Lost World Origins crashes every time a rat gets aggro.
Expression : fatal error Function : CIni_IdToIndex<1,struct COMMUNITY_DATA,class shared_str,int,class CHARACTER_COMMUNITY>::GetByIndex File : e:\stalker\sources\trunk\xr_3da\xrgame\ini_id_loader.h Line : 147 Description : <no expression> Arguments : item by index not found in section game_relations, line communities
No idea why I put that here. It's making the game impossible to continue at some parts bar throwing grenades in to insta-kill them.
I've noticed a lot of enemies in StalkerSoup using their pistols rather than rifles, is that normal? They tend to have around 100 rounds for their sidearm and 30-60 for their primary, so maybe they're going for the one with the most ammo first? In general I'm picking up way too much ammo, too, got like 1000 of both 5.56 and 5.54.

These relations are missing / borked and thus creating this behavior.
I think I see the problem. Apparently _actor has no relation to rats.
Does anyone have that edited pic of a NWA album cover that says Straight Outta Cordon?
Welp, I thought I had fixed the problem but no I couldn't.
Welp, I thought I had fixed the problem but no I couldn't.
Same log, or a different one? What did you do?
Expression : fatal error Function : CIni_IdToIndex<1,struct COMMUNITY_DATA,class shared_str,int,class CHARACTER_COMMUNITY>::GetByIndex File : e:\stalker\sources\trunk\xr_3da\xrgame\ini_id_loader.h Line : 147 Description : <no expression> Arguments : item by index not found in section game_relations, line communities
same. I think. I noticed in game_relations rat/tuschkano had no relation to _actor, there wasn't any numbers. I don't know why it says line 147 when it's got nothing to do with reputation at all.
The line is probably in the ini_id_loader.h located inside the engine. The thing is, it should not be acting like this. What did you add to the file? did you copy / paste another line of text (lets say the relations with dogs) and used that for the relation of actor > rat/tuschkano? Or did you do something else? IIRC if you'd copy and paste the original line from a vanilla game_relations.ltx file to that file it should work.

Hope this helps
It is to do with your companion, if you are entering an underground level, let your companion go. Hope this helps
I'll try this out now and see if it works. [editline]23rd April 2014[/editline] Yup, that fixed it. Cheers bud!
Forgive my slow internet connection hahaha. Also, anyone took a peek at the document?
Had a look, just pm'd you over on moddb :)

Anybody know how to get past the psy-emitter into x-16 in yantar in LWO? I have no idea what to do, the quest just says to get the documents
