Dezowave had already remade certain old levels since they lacked the original beta maps at the time (Garbage, Cordon, Generator, etc), but they had to thrash their months of work and fix up those 1935 levels instead (which made Dez sad n gloom for a bit). However they kept their Deadcity remake since it was way, WAY better than what was in 1935 and other builds released afterwards (it's honestly one of the best maps in the game IMO, long hours were spent mapping out the city from screenshots before the original map was available).

ModDB servers won't be able to handle the file I don't think, it's going to be big.

It would probably be extremely sensible of them to set up a torrent download in addition to the regular. In any case, i'll be spending all my time playing it or trying to download it for the next month :v:

A small separated fix I'm going to send online soon. I've replaced Clear sky's garbage railroad with the Call of Pripyat updated texture because the vanilla one was really ugly. (They seems to used the oldest railroad texture from the very first builds of SHOC even though Clear Sky already had a much better version. I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaack After a week of non-stop rowing at training camp without even time to check the forums, I've caught up with the hundreds of posts! Bit of drama I missed I see, kinda good there were some bans handed out though, hopefully things will calm down. LA soon fellow stalkers.

I would imagine that any file server or mirror will be bombarded with users eager to get their hands on the Alpha. It being a very large download doesn't help that either. Once it's released I'll seed as much as I can for the next week in a hope that others might get it quicker.

I am going to get it in any way I can. More than likely, I'll use the remaining 12GB of mobile data I have this month to get it. Or maybe I'll go to the mall and leech off the free wifi

Wow, survarium is actually...fun It feels like MP STALKER with really nice graphics (though it lacks the awesome god rays of stalker :( ) and smooth, polished animations. The sound design is really good too. Yeah, Survarium already looks and plays extremely well, I can really imagine it being really really cool in the co-op modes cause they might just end up like going through a medium sized area doing some objective, kinda like the separate areas in SoC.

Also, somebody should rip the models from SURVARIUM and make a weapons mod for stalker with them
