Why can I not save my game? I even used admin permissions on the installer.
According to Dez, rat CTD is caused by having enabled visible legs. Some sort of bone bug, or what.
I crash near rats even with legs disabled.
It's at [sp]one of the ventilation ducts at the lower hallway middle rooms[/sp] to get to it, you'll have to [sp]push a trolley under a ventilation duct at the right spot and jump up to search the stash[/sp] Spoilers obviously.
Uh, no, [sp]it's in that one room where the cart is unmovable, you have to jump on it and look at the ventilation, where bars are broken. It's actually a stash, so you search it. I too have been fucking around with physics cart and raged a lot[/sp] Shit, why do all the big great mods have to make mutants and anomalies a joke. I cranked the difficulty to master, and still anomalies barely deal any damage to Strelok with no armor, mutants still barely bite, but NPC, being retards they are, all turn into very unpredictable snipers. One moment a soldier stands staring at a wall while I'm shooting his buddies, next moment upper half of his body turns around (legs catching up slowly, causing the model to screw up) and he shoots my brains out. Frustrating experience.
Uh, no
Huh, I remembered that in the leak [sp]all the carts were actually movable[/sp] but that could've just been a lapse in memory, I haven't reached that spot yet in the "proper" version of Lost Alpha, I'm still kind of unsure whether to continue playing the leak or transfer to the new version.
mutants still barely bite
The [sp]Bloodsuckers and Burers are pretty dangerous now, the Bloodsuckers due to the vampire_effector[/sp]. Still, I'll probably try to go for a permadeath run in the current build of Lost Alpha, it makes the gameplay more tense when you can't be a total munchkin and kill every soldier you see with a Makarov.

But I know a murder would've happened if someone decided to make "physics" puzzle with this mess that is STALKER's engine. Especially with [sp]burer[/sp] in place to fuck shit up a bit more.
la is amazing. my expectations were completely blown away
Lost Alpha worked fine for a while but now it just closes itself as soon as it's done loading a new game/save, no bugtraps, no stopped responding, no clipboard. Any ideas?
la is amazing. my expectations were completely blown away
Yeh, despite the roughness and bugs, it's really actually good. The levels and graphics alone mean it's probably going to be the base for every SoC mod made from now until the end of time. I know i'm going to get my modding teeth deep into it when I complete a run-through. They should have planned ahead with the release, though, and done a single run-through to crush any last-minute bugs; but I imagine they were just happy to get it over with, now they can just relax and throw out small patches to fix issues.
The underground section in Cordon is really awesome, too bad you can still hear the chopper down there.
I haven't been closely following LA, so I have no idea what to expect. I'm goddamn excited to explore the new levels though, thats for sure.

I just got beaten to death by a man sitting down. Greatest mod ever 10/10.
i skipped through wolf's text [sp]does anyone know where his wagon is[/sp]
Ammo types do work, only the TOZ can use slugs and darts; the BM-16 sawn-off and regular can't.
Wrong, the first sawn off you get from the dead rookie in the beginning can use slugs. Just rightclick slugs and click "attatch to belt"
Run us through everything you did up to the point where the crashes started.
Not much. I got up to Fox and then the game crashed due to bones and I stopped there. When I tried again, it started doing it.
Wrong, the first sawn off you get from the dead rookie in the beginning can use slugs. Just rightclick slugs and click "attatch to belt"
he had a sawnoff? he was picked clean by the time i got to him

People can use it as a base, or mod it to fit different playstyles. The maps seem really good so far, so if we can get some of the better gameplay mods in there we'd have the perfect STALKER mod. I'm really liking the underground sections so far. It almost has sort of a Metro feel to it, and it's nice to finally see those underground "dungeons" that they mentioned in the early days of STALKER.
he had a sawnoff? he was picked clean by the time i got to him
I might be talking about the wrong rookie, i meant the one by the traincar or whatever it was.
So the guy who beat me to death while sitting at the house holding Fox hostage is the one causing the unset bone crash I'm assuming. He's not even tied to the bandit group, he literally sits there as you kill everyone else and the mission objective is considered done even while he's alive.
I might be talking about the wrong rookie, i meant the one by the traincar or whatever it was.
yeah the first rookie that sidorovich sends you to he didn't have jack shit on him but the flashdrive [editline]27th April 2014[/editline] i also can't access lost alpha settings
So the guy who beat me to death while sitting at the house holding Fox hostage is the one causing the unset bone crash I'm assuming.
Nah, rats. Disable player legs in the options menu (gameplay tab I think). You won't see your legs, but you save yourself from crashes and you get back footstep sounds. All I can suggest at this point is to install it anywhere but Program Files (or edit the security settings on it to give you absolute access), and to run it as administrator; really not sure what to do if it's not even creating a log file.
Is there Stealth in LA? I'm standing 2ft in front of a military bloke at 6:50PM so it's semi-dark and he can't see me for shit.
Three hours in. I have to say, this is THE stalker experience. I can't wait to see this get polished by the dezowave team. I'm sure with the dezowave team's support, modders are really going to flesh this game out.
I'm off to sleep now, I think i've got the first stages of a throat infection, and sleep deprivation is really only going to worsen it.
Is there Stealth in LA? In some cases the AI is phenomenally retarded, in others they perform at vanilla baseline. Probably something they're going to fix.
So how do I get this running at 60 fps on dynamic lighting DX10? I'm running i5 2500k 4.4GHz, 16gb RAM & 2 GTX 670 and I get 25-40 fps on both 1920x1080 and 2560x1440 tried putting down shadows, AA options and grass shadows and still runs like crap. It ran smooth in the beginning in cordon but now it runs like shit.
Turn off sunrays. It's like they're using some super unoptimized version of those. Even on low they eat frames like it's breakfast!

I picked up Streloks stash and the documents and went out and nothing is happening and i still have the mission as not done. Am i doing something wrong?
Goddamn the new zombies are creepy Also NWA's the only true stalkan music
